It's an interesting dynamic that you seem to be enraptured by Genshin's subtext and worldbuilding but utterly disinterested by the clumsy presentation and often stiff script. I actually completely missed this event. I'm kind of devastated because of all the charming character moments.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Your commentary is great and your deeper dives are exactly that. Not simple the sub-surface observations that get repeated ad nausium or game theory levels of jumps in logic but insightful ideas based in psychology character writing and societal structure.

I did story retellings in another game for a while so I tried it with genshin and it did not hit so well. I think I’ve finally found a niche where I can grow :)
