A way to get a good "recall"(going back to buy items) in both league and deadlock is by pushing in the wave under their tower/guardian, this leads to less minions on your side, and having them closer to them, so you barely lose any minions at all and have a juicy wave to get when it bounces back (ideally trade a bit to get them lower) . The problem would be getting the wave pushed back to them, but if you bought your items and/or farmed jungle, you should be able to fist fight them and win due to item advantage. An advanced way to apply this is to go back instantly when you get your item after denying their souls, or farming the camp close to your tower/guardian. This leads to an item advantage, and they have to push in the wave thats now stacked up or they lose 1-2 waves. So they have a giant wave they want to push in so they can get their items while also being low, so either they go with the wave to push in, in which case you can fight them off of it, or they recall and give you 1-2 waves and priority in the lane. basically just wave management in league of legends, it applies pretty similiarly, atleast in theory (i am against lobotomites)
The biggest thing I struggled with when picking up Yam was learning how to properly lane because the range against minions tended to make me struggle. But I think watching this video will change up my strategy quite a bit
I'm so glad I've found your channel bro, I learn best from content like yours, learning from highly skilled one tricks who make educational content. I love one tricking/maining mechanically demanding weeb characters in games like Zed in LoL, Genji in OW and now Yamato in Deadlock. I've just watched all your Yamato videos and I've already learned so many new tricks (I never thought about animation cancelling the 2 with light melee plus alt fire) I'm looking forward to learning more from you! Keep the videos coming 👍
Hey man, been following you a lot with this. Can you do a vid on coming back from a lost lane? I find with Yamato following your guides I'm doing well, but if we are behind them on souls even creep farming efficiently I just can't catch up with them
@@chrisg3223 I mean if you lose your lane just farming when the tier 2s spawn should get you back into contention with the rest of the team, and getting kills with ganks and help will close the gap a lot
Great Yamato content! When the whole enemy team buy silence glyph, what can I do about it? Like there isn't a way to fight them close range then and since yamato is very close range based character.
if you use youre in the channeling part of your ult while she swaps you you take zero dmg, also just keeping your distance and trying to stay out of her swap radius when she has it up is important

I think that's got to be my only gripe with the game at the moment which I think will be updated. That the kills in the early game really don't mean much which is weird. Other than that love it to bits, nice video my dude.
@@SlimesmoreUK I think the one thing that’s scary with making kills super impactful early is you could easily make a really bad snowball system where if you win 3/4 lanes you automatically win the game
@@SlimesmoreUK they lose some farm and you gain map control, which lets you do dmg on guardian. If you think about kills granting you map control you can do a lot more imho, cuz that’s really how you capitalize on them
Kills in lane are weird because souls are exp and money combined, and you can deny them. When you're winning, you're often shoving your opponent in deep and denying them a ton of farm, so killing them doesn't make a huge difference. In fact, it can lower your souls/min if you don't take the opportunity to roam or invade jungle, since you aren't getting souls from denies while they're dead. In other mobas, if you're bullying your opponent, they might be forced out of farming but they'd still be getting the exp just for being there, so killing them still has a lot of value.
I’ve been playing your build on her nonstop. I absolutely roll through people. The dash slash and the vault slash are so funny.
