@@Iocusamoenus hybrid is kinda pointless since you have to shred both defenses instead of just one, the only item that does that is vicious headshot. Much more efficient to just do mystic shred which you can get like 4 sources of easily.

@lukelun aahh, makes sense. I always thought it was latency issues when you're far back. But I always fight for minion control so I can melee hit minions to harass with the gun. Now I know why it hasn't been a problem for me lol
What exactly is the line where you determine to go for the burst or anti-tank build? Do they need 3 tanky heroes? Are only 2 that are super durable enough? And if it is about equal, which one do you prefer? Are there any heroes that are in between and don't necessarily affect the major build either way? Thanks in advance if you read this.
I feel like characters that can make use of Return Fire are nice now. Tried it a few times on Seven, right after getting Fleetfoot, helps with with duels in a time window where other heroes have better ults. Maybe Yamato could be good with it too.
did valve change how flying strike works? I am sling shotting all over the place now, it is much harder to predict which way I am going to go if people are behind walls / far away now. sometimes i even go backwards.

I have been tryin out a meele build, Really fun really strong with mystic reach early for bullet ressit and big 3. Healbane spirit life steal and the three melee items late game colossus. U are basically a heal bot in their face that cant be stunned and just decimates. Would be fun to see you try out some kind of melee build becasue i think i does have some potential :D
What are your thoughts on the flying strike changes? It's a lot harder to get momentum out of cancelling it now and the melee combos are also kinda wonky for me
Played some the other day. Felt… Alright. Ult is certainly not super powerful but it’s still a fine escape option and if your team is paying attention your ult startup is just such a good distraction.

if u freeze the first wave and kill the opp in less than 4 min, u can roam on a fresh wave after a good solo u gain so much advantage for dis, if u roam on a wave with less minions the wave will be unfreeze and ya will lose minions
03:30 totally unrelated, but just like to an extent in LoL I feel like they should make it so that the spawn lasers/tower thingies just kill you through Yamato ult/any other type of invincibility, it just doesn't make sense to be able to actually tank the spawn stuff indefinitely. If you actually feel like BM'ing or something and want to kill the enemy team in their spawn? Go ahead, but do it through the damage you take
I don’t really use stuff that I’m 99% sure is going to be patched, if you’re trying to improve then it doesn’t really help to create habits of using bugs that will be gone soon
And also I dont see you doing a alt fire attack when using your flying strike. YOu can squeeze one in just as the rope latches on the target, the keep holding alt fire like normal to do the right click and melee combo up close. I usually dont do if i jave mysitc shot tho since you might miss the first alt fire
Before watching the video a noob's thoughts: Gun Yamato is nerfed to the ground but SP Yamato is still strong. A slight nerf specially for cs'ing but other than that doesn't really change anything. I will unpause it now.
Sorry but been playing since day 1 and i've never thought yamato was meant to be spirit, Obviously her 1 but that is *it*. Her 3 never does good damage, maybe 300 max full build, same with 2. and You get one spirit slash off per ult basically. To me that sounds more like a 'forcing it to work' type of build because only ONE skill being the core of your entire damage is insane, and what is spirit slash really? It's basically one and a half grey talon arrows worth of damage without charges and basically melee range. Meanwhile gun yamato has her 3 focused on debuff + healing in skirmishes, ult buffs her / makes invincible, and infinite ammo, 1 gives movement slow, 2 for mobility and gun damage. The kit sounds a lot more cohesive when you look at it from a gun perspective, including how her actual gun has the right click to it which does nothing for spirit yamato. Also spirit yamato doesn't even feel like a hero until you get a lot of items, torment, refresher, improved burst. I'm not playing a hero that takes 6 years to come online, even Geist doesn't need that many items wtf

Sadly no, this hero is still OP. So aids to play against honestly. But it's okay, I rather characters feel OP than most feel underwhelming. But damn yamato can get out of control like no other.

Nerfing weapon build to a hero design like that is pure bs, should be rampage after ss. Stupid spirit build, it wont work in a higher skilled lobby, you cant hit and run anyone because they will not be alone

The grapple is now so strong after the fix it pulled me through a wall.
The grapple feels basically unstoppable now, if you get it on somebody you are GOING to where they are

usually 4 or 5 tankier players where you just cant do anything and pick off squishies then the ee build is stronger
Losing resist on ult now is a super painful feeling

melee builds on heroes that have no stuns are doggy doo doo as soon as you play against good players cuz your only source of dmg is punch

i think you should add 2>heavy (before it latches onto them) into your options, its relatively new tech just fyi if you did not see it
