    Not everyone has the same serve, great point! His point at approximately 8th minute is so key. Also explains why he’s a good coach. Not too many coaches can point out that point with serves. No wonder why he covered the core points instead of drilling on details with posture. Another great point was the differences between shoulds and musts.

    Your third tip about hesitating is interesting because it seems to go against the traditional coaching advice to have a continuous motion. (However, some of the pros like Federer do seem to have a slight pause in their serve.)

    Can you break down the racket drop and upward extension to the contact point from the trophy position (either with drills or exercises)? I love your videos your articulation of complex tennis issues in a very simplified manner is astounding. Thank you very much. Can you please do a video on the ball toss, and I'm not talking about the standard instruction of keeping your arm straight, not using the joints wrist elbow etc.. because I do all that but my toss is still all over the place.

      @@ironwilltennis I have just watched the video that you've suggested and it was very informative; paticularly about how the eye can pick up the ball side to side versus forward and backward. But my problem lies in a different Corner. My toss is inconsistent in terms of hight, place, point of release etc..Also, I can't seem to toss the ball without it spinning in the air. I have seen many videos that advice to keep the arm straight, no bending of joints etc.. and was wondering if you have a different remedy to this problem.

    Do you feel your arm speed is no 1 reason your serve rocks! I know loading big muscles will also create more power but it seems like you would serve big even on your knees.

    • @ironwilltennis
      @ironwilltennis  Год назад +1

      arm speed is defiantly a big component, but it only matters how fast you swing once these few things are in place. I have people that swing way faster than me but cant get the velocity they are expecting

    How does pronation play into getting more power on the serve?

  • @bournejason66
    @bournejason66 Год назад +1

    Do you recommend a low ball toss or high toss?

    • @ironwilltennis
      @ironwilltennis  Год назад +1

      I depends on how comfortable you are loading andunloading quickly. For example man tend to have more fast twitch muscle so they load and unload faster on average so most male players have a difference of at least 3 feet compared to female who just need a little more time to finish loading. You won't get more or less pace though

    • @jchan810
      @jchan810 Год назад

      I think in general a toss about a foot higher than contact gives enough time. If the toss height is at contact height you will most likely feel rushed.
