Great lesson! I never thought on this way. Connecting all dots in one lesson (transfer weight, timing moving patterns, how to react on aggressive balls, and to be aggressive) ❤
You’re slowly becoming my favourite tennis coach on youtube 🥹 I watched your videos about the launch angle, volleys, etc, really well explained and also demonstrated! 👏 thank you!
I'd like to congratulate you on the content and teaching of your videos. I watch you from Brazil. Congratulations on your initiative to share knowledge. Would you have a video detailing the return of a serve kick? Thank you in advance for your attention!
Looking forward to you being able to ‘come back’. Is there a website for details of in-person or video coaching? Do you ever offer coaching packages etc?
I would throw a party, champagne, caviar and lobster if I could hit one handed backhands like those. Will get my boys doing these foot drills. They’re fast on the court but footwork is lazy. Thank you!
Good useful information again. What kind of workouts you recommend doing at gym for having better footwork? I've been doing heavy squats and lunges etc for years but now considering to change CrossFit style of training 🤔
Brilliant video, many thanks! I'm struggling with spacing on short balls, my coach tells me to create space, but never expalined how, specifically. This info, the difference between linear and circular footwork, is really a missing link for me! I also recall an old video from Ean Meyer where he was showing a circular pattern on inside approach shot, it now starts to make more sense to me.
Our speed and reaction time goes out the window as we age ! 🤣😂 And at 68 , playing singles isn’t something I look forward to anymore. Occasionally, I can muster enough energy to do it! 🤣
Good morning coach. First, I must say I have been playing tennis for a yr, so Im learning and need a lot of help 😅 I was wondering if you have a video (if you don't have it all ready) on what to do if you hitting a lot of balls long... Had a match last night, let's say it didn't go well. Ha,ha Please help!
@mightbefire fast feet, slow hands. Is what I tell my kids. We move fast so that we don't have to rush the stroke. Also think about hitting a little heavier instead if you have trouble slowing down 😁
This is probably a stupid question, but do you have any advice for when i miscalculate the distance to the ball, and end up having to step on the wrong foot when running to a ball. Doesn't happen too often, but when it does it usually results in a lost point.
Iron Will is the tennis professor. I am a 70 year old self taught singles tennis player and learn so much from this talented man.

Circular vs linear. I've never thought about it this way. Will definitely have to try it out.

Found this lesson particularly helpful, love the idea of moving in circles, easy to visualise.
@NamesAreRandom I think it's a simple visual to go off of an build the strokes 😁

any tips for learning how to have aggressive footwork without hitting bigger? for me, they go hand in hand. I wish I could separate the two
