  • I found this cool piece of wood, and I decided to utilize it in Charlie's large terrarium

So you have seen the new enclosure; what do you think? Thank you for looking at what she is currently in rather than just leaving the comment on the older enclosure.

Hello, I wanted to do a 6x6x8 foot bioactive enclosure for a green iguana, is it true that I’ll have to replace all the plants because they will be trampled by the iguana? I don’t want to spend money on a lot of plants if they will all die in a short time span. But I would love to do a bioactive enclosure.

I have personally tried aloe vera, corn plants, avocado trees, and spider plants. I am honestly convinced there they is really no way to pull off a green iguana enclosure with plants unless the enclosure is outside and very large. They completely eat plants that they can, and if they can not eat the plants, the destroy them from climbing on them. You would have to switch out plants rather often, and I do not think it is worth it. I have resorted to just using wood, dirt, and leaves to decorate my Bioactive green iguana enclosure. If you do add plants for them to eat, they will just kill it. They tend not to graze, and more just eat everything. I am sorry for this response, but I hope this helps.
