One of the first things I did when I got my NC was to relocate the battery to the trunk, move the washer fluid bottle to the firewall, and move the coolant tank to where the washer fluid bottle was. I hate how cramped the front of the engine bay is and I hate not having easy access to the front of the engine.
As a s2000 owner this series about the mx5 is great. Ive always had a soft spot for the NC. Keep it coming
I feel like the NC is the S2000's younger brother. Some day, I want to crash an S2K meet with my NC2 and call it an "AP-zero." Like the guy who brought a Boxster to Flyin Miata Summer Camp and called it an NC4. 😂
There it is, intro music that brings back good memories in my head. You guys have best automotive channel on YT in my books. True, honest, details oriented.
Slip angle and speed academy are two underrated channels with legitimate (they race) information.
A lot of the big channels lack any actual knowledge and expertise.

Love all of your content for the MX5 . I have a 2006 NC and it's great watching videos on the NC. I recently replaced the rain rail and was blown away at how much it cost $845, but for a 2005 NB it's only $190.

I think at this point most people just repeat the same lines. The NC3 is the best looking miata ever made to date. That front grill is perfect.
I prefer the NC2 shape. Not so much the grille itself, but the other contours of the front. I do like the blacked headlights of the Club, though.
The quality of these videos is great / channel should have many more subscribers!! Motivated me to buy a Miata as a weekend car lol
Quinn and Matt-Chew, I’ve been watching for years and was curious about your exclusion of ND Miata’s. I recently bought a '21' MX5 (and also have a '21' Supra) and was wondering if you focus on NB's and NC's because they are less expensive, or maybe have better balance, or are more track capable? Also, where is Ryan buried on that huge property of yours? 🤐
I'm guessing it's cost and availability. There's nothing at all wrong with the ND. Soft from the factory, like all Miatas, but buckets of potential.
This series is just prefect timing, just bought an NC club and have many aspirations for it. Glad you guys are addressing the necessities before all the fun stuff. Don't know if I'll have the same level of self control.

That's made a heck of a difference to the engine bay, so much tidier. Hopefully it's just as effective for temps on track too.

I learnt the hard lesson of cooling turbocharging an NA car 😅 Sometimes the OEMs compromise for packaging, but sometimes (re: ducting and undertrays) it pays not to throw it out!

Well done 👏👏 Both the NC and RX-8 engine bay packaging is criminally bad. For one the battery for both cars should have been located in the trunk from the factory. The radiator/fans are almost entirely blocked, like seriously, who ok'd that?! 😂
Make sure your radiator is foamed. Look up the Spec MX5 allowance for a cutout near the firewall/strut bar brace area. Or go full hog and put on some hood vents. The OEM oil heat exchanger has proved sufficient for me so far for non-race applications.
Also look into Spec MX5 PS flow restrictor. Slightly higher effort and less work for the pump to do.
one of my new fave channels. What is the diameter of the cold air? Cant find info on appropriate diameter for it anywhere... Just "get AEM, Stock is a CAI, Skuzle" lol
Hey, great video. A couple of Qs: 1. Do you HAVE to relocate the power steering tank? Wouldn’t it fit in original place post moving the ECU? 2. Do you guys know if you can remove the battery killing switch? More like as an anti-theft measure & take it with you when you leave the car - is it easy to remove? Ty

I was super disappointed by the lack of induction noise after installing a cold air. Stupid plastic intake manifold! Anxiously awaiting Fab9’s high flow aluminum release. Supposedly spring/early summer…
The first production samples are headed our way. There were a few delays on our manufacturing end, unfortunately. Once we've got those parts in hand, we've got to validate fitment etc before we give the go ahead for the first production batch to get made. I'm guessing we're looking at June / July to have those available at this point.

I’ve been on the fence about this kit simply because my car is strictly dickly for the street, but it opens up the engine bay pretty nicely and makes it so much easier to get to that belt tensioner that this is most likely my next purchase. Thanks for posting, loving the series so far.
