The Strap door pull is definitely a modification that I do NOT regret. Thanks, Jackson!
My 2007 is totally stock! And I love it. But I also really appreciate what you've done with yours and I've learnt so much from your videos, especially the ones about fixing little irritating issues! My interior fan MOSFET thingy is still broken though 🤷♂️
I appreciate the videos Jackson. I only got MisterR sportives, light FM wheel lugnuts, light FM wheels, light GWR single street exhaust and a light flywheel FM clutch combo. Sadly the clutch was badly installed, and I had to replace it with a Stage 2 Exedy combo. Then i installed a detachable powered subwoofer in the trunk, which defeats all the weight savings, lol. I got to have my base when the roof is down at speed, sorry Miata purists. I have other minor mods I can't even remember right now, but I have to look back at my car every time I get out of it. Yes it has dents and scratches, but who cares. I would've never imagined an NC2 could gather as much attention as it does. You get thumbs up, and you get nasty looks too. You're right, the CB exhaust gives it that addictive sports car note. I can't tell you how much I enjoy daily driving it. Yes, you do have to dodge potholes, and you have to angle everything so you don't rub your LRB undertray bolts, but the experience is so addictive. Sorry Miata purists, but I think the NC, IMHO is the absolute best Miata there is. Yes, I do have the fat PRHT too.
Very high-quality video. I've watched your videos since you started, and the progress is enormous.
Thank you!!
This is probably the best looking NC on the planet.
🙏
Man, I love your vids and definitely love the Miata! Yours is a perfect representation of what I want mine to look, run, and feel like and I hope I can catch up to you in fewer than 8 years!
I'm trying to think if there are any mods I regret on my NC, but I can't really think of anything. I'm in the process of doing a full Bosectomy on it right now, and I hope I don't regret it, but I'm fairly confident I won't. I definitely like watching what you have done to yours and take some ideas from you and other NC RUclipsrs. I am old as dirt so I can't really get away with the crazy appearance mods any more, so I'm trying to mod mine in a way that keeps a fairly stock appearance while being quite not stock underneath.
I love my 2011 nc2 kendo mx5. I've started making it my own. Great video, liked and subscribed. John in the UK.
Thanks for the sub!
You have great taste, keep up the good work.
Love the car and the content you make.
Thank you!
Love your miata helped me decide to widebody mine and love every second of it
Nice! And thank you.
I feel like the 2.5 is great for midrange torque, but if you want to rev higher, the 2.0 from the NC2/3 is the better option. I'm planning on doing cams and valve springs on my NC3, and I should be able to see 8000RPMs with that setup. The 2.5 doesn't like to rev above 7000 without destroking it. I also don't like the idea of deleting the balance shafts. That being said the 2.5 is still a fantastic option, it's just not for me.
Now you need to up the power. I got a 25th anniversary, went fully forged, turbo, 321bhp @ 0.6 bar boost, it's now a real supercar killer!!!
Eventually!
Anyone who claims to "hate" the car is just gatekeeping NAs.
I think I’m going to get the xidas for my winning blue NC eventually.
Bought a 2012 6MT PRHT in March.
So far I've upgraded wheels (heliograms), muffler (cobalt), headers (hooker), and an ecotek tune from dynotronics.
Hemholtz mid-pipe is up next to hopefully kill the drone I have around 3k RPM
This is definitely the most fun car I've ever owned.
I have a 2012 6MT PRHT bought new and have done many mods over the years. I can vouch for the helmholtz midpipe. It really does kill the drone at cruising speed. It works great!
Brother, my current situation with my NA Miata in its entirety is a regret lol
Jokes aside, YOUR NC looks amazing. ❤
Appreciate it!
Last year I bought a 2012 PRHT in the same color; yours looks great. You've made it your own but it's not too over the top. I'm considering Ohlin's coil overs as my 1st upgrade to flatten the car out and help it handle like it should.
Ohlins are an awesome choice
@@ColoredinLight if you were between Xidas or Ohlin’s, and you weren’t basing it off price, what would you go with?
@@FeedThatAddiction as an Öhlins owner, I'd say: consider options that don't limit shock travel. I'm happy with my Öhlins and they perform well on track, but I'm not so happy about sacrificing wheel travel. Just one perspective but if you take Flyin' Miata's word for it, it's purely done to cut costs.
Just something to think about. They're still fantastic coilovers
Have you ever had the ISR performance circuit spec, if so how loud is it compared to stock. It comes with the midpipe, front pipe, and muffler
I've seen clips, it's pretty damn loud
Your NC gives me s2k vibes
Definitely a little bit of inspiration!
i have a 06 grand touring and i am having such a blast driving and modifying my car. however it is an auto and im genuinely just curious would you still do what you did for car if it was an auto or is it a deal breaker?
It's up to you, it's your car so make it how you want!
curious what size the tires are.
and, it's in the mod list. 😀
(235/40, 255/40)
so, it's an old school muscle car w/ the bigger rears.
Pretty sure he's one 235/40s
Either way, that's the size I'm going with next time. Right now I'm on 225/45s.
I appreciate the smoother ride, but I hate how slow they feel in 1st gear
@@midtown1466 I am wheel & tire shopping for a 2014 PRHT.
the one thing I learned is run flats are only in the 205 stock size, lol
just got some use out of my RFT as the passenger front blew a 1 inch tear in the sidewall on a murderous pothole, 15 miles from home.
I see the YOKOHAMA ADVAN FLEVA V701 are dirt cheap in 235/40 17
@ekw555 I'm on Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s. Hell of a tire for the price. Although, I'll have to call the tow truck if the fix a flat kit doesn't work
225/50 R17???
Want to get a taller tire for my NC!
did you have to roll your fenders for that wheel setup?
Yep
You should be running 200 tires. How many miles per year are you putting on the car?
Nah, I don't want 200. Will just get eaten up
I put a custom muffler on and it’s slower.. what’s happening
In your head. A muffler isn't gonna make a noticeable difference like that.
@@ColoredinLight felt like it.. going for a tune soon so that’ll show it if it has 👍
@lassydogpie5390 well the tune is gonna make the car actually faster so it will be hard to really compare apples to oranges.
NO PRO THE WORLD !!!
All those words and no Dyno results from the swap and tune. Bummer
You could find dyno results online for tons and tons of 2.5 swaps that are all basically the same and easily searchable on Google. I'm not even worried about that power it makes, it's still slow.
