NC-1 owner here (2008, copper red mica). I'm one of those who like the original front bumper ("the angry bass").

I like the nc1 bumper better than the smile face one. Though I still think it could be improved with a little custom work.
Great OEM+ look, TBH I would have liked the video more if the camera guy would show more of the parts being discussed rather than constantly the talking heads with quick and very very brief shaky zoom to the subject and then back to the talking heads. Thanks anyway though. Keep up the great work :)
I don’t care what people say…..I picked up a 2009 NC Mx-5 GT hardtop……it’s amazing! I have had it for 6 years….Love it. NC is a great car.
One of my favourite NC builds I've discovered on IG. The colour combination is perfect... would have been my top choice if it weren't for Competition Yellow. 💛

I just bought an NC2 Miata and I feel like I’m hated by the Miata community right out of the gate. I’m glad to see some love for an NC.

Insanely clean nc1. Like all the touches are very grown up. I'd be back at car shows if more of the cars were modified like this. I swore that infotainment unit wasn't stock but couldn't place why. It looks so clean and simple. And without rgb everything
Come to Australia and come for a ride in 'Beastie' my NC1 Launch Edition, which I have truly made my own, including importing a BBR225 kit from the UK, with ITBs, Cams, Headers, ECM Tune, and 2.5" high flow exhaust system. It sounds and goes beautifully and Jordan, you would love it!

I disagree with every needs a stubby antenna. I like the dorky long one and it gets better reception. Yes I still listen to fm

Dang, saw an exact spec'd one for sale month or so back. Tan seats, Tan dash and tan door insert, Marble white with aero package. I should have picked it up.

could have saved some time and money starting with NC3? as past/current owner of '94, '00, '06, '17, and now '13, NC3 is the best looker of all models 🙂 and as must as I love RHT look which I had on first three Miatas, I have decided on PRHT for current '13 and eventually got used to the side view. NC miata with modern head unit with backup camera, it's a true modern-classic roadster.

I'm considering it... but I've also had some random glitches on my Atoto head unit in the Jeep. Whereas my Sony has been mostly bulletproof. So I'm still eyeing what might come next...

Is the AC/Heater control from a different miata? I put one just like that which I pulled off of a later model at the junk yard and installed it in min (I also have 2006), but the knob on the left that controls the vents does not work. The temperature dial and the fan speed works fine but the vent choice is permanently set ever since I changed out my OEM one. The reason I changed it is for that silver edge which accents different parts of the car. My OEM one is just all black and moss miata sells a matching satin cover for them but its 70 freaking $$dollars!! I actually noticed that the one I got also has a "Auto" option on the fan speed dial, so I guess there are multiple iterations of this part (at least 3 anyway).
Super sweet NC. All the mods are really tastefuly done. I'd still like to know about that steering wheel center sticker. I know he mentioned Etsy but the audio went screwy an I didn't catch how or who he got it from on Etsy. Can anyone help?
Cannot help unfortunately. But I’m also interested in that wheel center sticker. I believe they said 60 mm sticker, from Etsy. But they didn’t said who the seller is… also looking for it. If anybody can help?
@@frankdeckers6555 I searched this sticker on Etsy but all I could find were center caps for wheels not steering wheels. Wish they'd been more clear about how they found it on Esty too.

He did a really good job with the headlights, but it's still a dead giveaway that this is an NC1 with an NC3 bumper swap.
I disagree, if you first look it definitely looks like a nc3 from the front
@@scotty_78_78 The fact that the headlights don't fit the opening is a dead giveaway, it's literally the first thing I noticed, lol.
@@FlesHBoXand there's a kit to fill the gaps for nc1 bumper swaps that not enough people use
@@mazboost yeah, and if you do a good job like this guy did, they look really good. Though the headlights still don't look the same. They don't fill out the area the same as the nc3 headlights. These in this video work well though to make it look at least like they are supposed to look like that. It's much better than just slapping an nc3 bumper on there and calling it good, lol
Can anyone identify the rims?
Mazdaspeed front bumper is the only one I kind of like. All stock NC jumpers are just so bad imo.
Why change to the smiley face bumper? also delete the mazda badge on the front & that ugly 3rd brake light on the back. Good color but not as good as the storm blue!
