I know your videos for years old but I can definitely attest and say that the flexlock is a awesome TIG torch especially being water I also have the air cold flexlock like I have a 17 head on I have the valve flexlock to that I use for heavy duty welding.
Very interesting. I would like a video that shows where to use the different sized torches. I mean where can you use a number 9 air cooled. Is it suitable for a pipe root weld etc etc
jason andrews thanks Brother! The 360 flex lock is awesome it’s a little pricy but sometimes you can find them for good price. They are awesome for tube welding. Air cooled is last resort for me too lol
Hey brother just watched your video and I just bought me a lil welder for the house and it comes with a air cooled lift tig torch it looks exactly like the one you have n I wanted to see where I would connect the hose that comes off of the connector the Manual says it’s a gas line so would I just hook it up to the regulator the size is a 5/8”-18 RH
Very informative brother. Just watched jody,TOT, and Mr Tig talk ALL day about torches, and your video I think answered more questions that I had combined. I have a CK17 with the primeweld 225acdc. A lincoln 17 with the 210MP. I dont think either machine really requires(or in capable) a water cooler setup, I would love one. But the majority of projects I take on are not 220-250amp project lol. So I was considering grabbing the 17flexloc, and a ck9 in the next month or 2. Because water cooler is only worth it if you have NEED for high amp production style welding(and already own a 250amp machine)[fronius, everlast, dynasty, etc.] My machines dont have a cooler hookup in back...what all machines can be water cooled for less than $2000...any? Lol Anyway, thanks and keep on welding bud!
Happy to help man anytime. Those guys are great but sometimes you need the real life guys to show closer looks..So my only ac/s Tig machine I have is my HTP Invertig 221 and it’s 220a however I did buy a Miller Coolmate 1.3 and it was the best thing I ever did. It keeps the torch so cool I can practice and practice. I did 12 amplifier covers and the cooker helps keep my attention cause I’m not worried about it getting hot. You can grab a Coolmate on eBay for $400. You don’t need a connection in the back for example my HTP is a 220v outlet in the back but my coolmate is 110v so I use this and I just plug my cooler into this BN-LINK Wireless Remote Control Electrical Outlet Switch for Lights, Fans, Christmas Lights, Small Appliance, Long Range White 10A/1200W (1 Pack) www.amazon.com/dp/B07FK5SP9H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_-sxeEbQ8SVBCK Works great and I can turn it on/off I bellowed it to my cart. Also you can get say a everlast 210EXT water cooled for 2k If you wanted too. That’s less than 2k just at 2k. Nothing wrong with the prime weld to start off with tho. Check out the switch, let me know your thoughts. Thanks for the support as well.
@@weldingjunkie thanks my guy! Yep I found this out today doing more research, that it doesn't matter which machine u have, coolers can have separate power source, as long as u remember to on/off. Which, I will. For awhile lol then yes, I will prolly get everlast 255ext. Either this year or next year. Prolly water cool setup and torches this year, (I want a shop press and press brake kit and couple other tools next month) then...enough $ down the line, I'll upgrade my machine. Cause I have NO complaints really so far. Its handled EVERY thing I've needed it to. Thanks again!
Derrick Cohee anytime my friend. This plug will fit 90% of coolers out there. This is what I bought for mine. Kenny Quintero that’s awesome, you’re going to love it! If you need help with any settings especially the ac independent amplitude or stick settings let me know I’ll be happy to help. Thanks for watching I appciate it.
Kenny Quintero there are actually other distributors you can buy HTP machines from around the US most people don’t realize that. I was meaning the torches that I buy from HTP you can get all the torches I have elsewhere but HTP has the best service IMO. I’ve bought many many things there.
Hey there good review. i'm deciding between the CK CK225SF FX vs CK CK20-25SF FX. do you ever use an 18 torch? about the only difference I can see in the packages, one is 20 bucks more. anything im missing between the two? newbe, thx
Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. Go with the cheaper one no difference. I believe one was mr Tig approved to go sign ck welder but don’t waste the extra money. I don’t use the 18 once I ended up with the ck20 I never went back to anything else. The 9 and 20 use the same consumables so those are the only two I use. I own a few 17 I like as well but I barley use them. Stick with 20/9. I’d go with HTP to other from they are great and or eBay is great to find some good deals too.
Nice stuff WJ. I am purchasing the pp200 next week. I am hoping the Pp200 is capable of running the mk prince xl on it somehow. The prince is made for Lincoln 7pin millermatic 10pin and FRONIUS 9 pin I believe. It's a push pull gun with 25ft gun length. Any chance you might have some insight into this?
Travis MEDIC518 all the pins and wires are there I hooked a slider up to mine so if you know what you are doing electrical wise I think you’ll be ok. The prince XL is an awesome gun. The pro pulse is amazing I just use my aluminum mig torch with a slider for hot start and crater fill
@@weldingjunkie good to know!! I am after being able to work off my table when projects require it with out having to move machine from it's overhead platform I got on my table. Hey boss, I’m trying to get ck torch for my tig inverter welder is an ac/dc welder 140 amps on tig. I’m trying to get the 25” one and not just buy the flex torch itself and use it with the torch I currently have? How were you able to find these?
I have an esab 141i is an ac/dc it came with a 12.5 finger trigger torch. I’m trying to get a #9 from ck cause I’m sure they’re compatible but I don’t just wanna buy the torch body alone. I want a #9 with a 25” cable. Can’t seem to find it with the denser and the gas connector. The one you show is exactly like something I’m looking for! Thank you for the reply!!!

@@israel4479 you can buy all if it separate or together. 9 and 17 are all interchangeable all the way down to the consumables. you can buy torch heads separate, hoses, dinse connectors etc. the same one that fits yours fits a miller dynasty as well.
You got 20 from 6? Your math skill need help Lol and yes they are all to get into diff places and do diff jobs. I have two Tig welders it’s not that many torches. I’d love to see you weld a oil or fuel tank in a tight spot with a 17 ridgid.

Good collection of torches. I've never had or used an air cooled torch. Just never have. :-)
