    Man I can't imagine running that many beads without arm coverage. I got pretty good "sun burn" last time I did that.

    Funny, i just ordered one yesterday before I saw this video. Excited now to get it and put it to work!

    Does the use of a water cooler extend the duty cycle at a given amperage, or is duty cycle solely based on the welding machine itself?

    • @Shoptoolreviews
      @Shoptoolreviews  8 месяцев назад +2

      The duty cycle is controlled solely by the machine. Thanks for watching.

    • @RemedyTalon
      @RemedyTalon 3 месяца назад

      You'll be hard pressed to reach the duty cycle limit of any machine before the torch is too hot to use when using an air cooled torch.

    Is this torch a gas thru dinse? I have a multimatic 255 but it uses a separate connector and hose for gas. I want to build a water cooler for it, and am thinking that the SLWHAT-35 from CK is the connector I need. Any thoughts?

    Is there an electrical connection through the coolant lines as well or is the power just running though the argon gas line?

    • @NemesisRTCW
      @NemesisRTCW 10 месяцев назад +1

      The power goes through the red hose.
      The blue is just a hollow feed hose, the red also houses the copper power cable, thats why it is slightly thicker.
      But because the water surrounds it it can be way thinner then it is on a air cooled torch as the water keeps it cool.
      On a 200 amp torch the watercooled powercable is maybe 10 sqmm, way to small for running without water, and that is why you can not run a watercooled torch without water, not because the head gets hot, but because the powercable will melt right through the hose because it gets hot.

    Does anyone have a fronius cu600 cooler? I'm building my own cooler for a magicwave 230i and I've already figured out how to turn on the pump and fan but I need a few pictures of the cooler harness to figure out how the flow and temperature sensor and coolant level are connected. Can anyone help me because there are no pictures or diagrams on the internet?

    Good review, the red is thicker because it's an electrical line carrying current

    How do you disconnect the hoses from the torch? I'm trying to replace my cold water line, but I can figure out how to disconnect it from the torch.

    • @Shoptoolreviews
      @Shoptoolreviews  3 года назад

      Slide the plastic cover down. You have to loosen the collet nut and then the hose just slides over the barbed fitting that was covered by the collet nut. Thanks for watching.

      @@Shoptoolreviews Thanks. I actually figured it out, I was tightening it instead of loosening. I didn't realize it was attached like that. Thanks though, your video gave me the courage to continue trying to disconnect it.

      We made our own from parts on Amazon and WalMart. Link is below. Thanks for watching.

      What kind of temperature rise were you seeing in the reservoir of the cooler you made after welding for this run, or if you've done any other runs of any length. I've been curious since watching your build video how it would perform with the single cooling radiator and the 1L reservoir.

    Your holding the air cooled torch completely different to the water cooled torch

      so? That's not going to change the temperature difference
