Wow, that was a very fast 11 minutes chocked full of great info......I have to go back and watch again.......those screw on heads look really cool, especially being able to extend with extra lengths and different type heads.....I always wondered what the very long nozzles were for, not being a pipe guy I had never seen....thanks for showing us the array of tools in the arsenal.......cheers, Paul
I use the miller red head 26fv for most applications and haven't had a single problem with it in year and a half that I've owned it and I can tell it'll last quite some time. The cable is on the heavier side but I got used to it. The neck isn't as stiff as a lot of other torches and performs very well. Of course you can get by with many other brands but I've bought them and had to call the next day because of their fragile break in periods. My red head was ready to put in the work and I trust it every day.
Could you do a comparison and breakage test between spray transfer mig and dual shielded flux core? Totally off topic but I figured you would che k the comments on the latest video. Thanks

I can’t believe that you’re not going to show people the flex in the head of that Radnor head (I believe) that’s something that you never showed at all is how the flex head works, I use it a lot with mirror welding to get to the back side of tubes and the such

Clort, the presenters are not random community college students, they are professionals with experience in many different areas......no one can know everything about welding and be an expert on each type of welding. I know Titanium Ray has tremendous experience in the 'sanitary' pipe welding field, that is where no errors or gaps or crevices are allowed on the inside of pipe that could allow Bacteria to build up [food process, medical , chemical process]......it is a very demanding field. His experience welding stainless and titanium exhaust systems for exotic cars and motorbikes is also extensive, which is even harder to do in my opinion . He may look like he just got out of high school, but that is far from the truth....check out some of the other videos he has been involved in, especially the ones from last year where they visit him at the race shop.....
I noticed a slight mistake in the wording for the "air cooled" torch: air does not flow through the inside of torch, only shielding gas meaning Argon. The "air cooled" simply refers to the fact that, besides the relatively cool argon shielding gas flowing through it, the only way it dissipates heat is by convection into the surrounding air.
A problem I an encountering is there is little or no coverage of the topic of welding with pencil head torches. Not all the jobs involve micro tig which seems to be implied at least that they are only good for that. CK and HTP both offer (or used to) 20 series with 250 amp capability in a pencil torch format.
Hello sir. Great video. I'm just getting started into water cooled tig welding and was wondering since all my air cooled torches are 17 size, is there a water cooled torch that uses the same size cups and collets so I don't need to get different ones? Thank you very much.

Thanks im sorry i missed that in all the torches but it is definitely a goto for me as well.
Only so many flexes before it fails.. I pay for my equipment, so I don't bend it willy nilly like a paper clip.

Also preheating and post heating (normalization).
