hi! i’ve been watching a bunch of your old stick welding videos and i just want to say thank you so much. your videos have been really helpful. i’m 17 and i currently do dual enrollment at a vocational school for welding. i’m very excited about it, i love it a lot. i appreciate your videos; i can see myself choosing this as a career :)

35 here, the arc makes everything besides the puddle invisible and the shakes/tremors don't help either. I probably need an arm dashpot or shock absorber.

Great videos, I’ve been watching them since welding school a few years ago. Your videos have helped me learn new things and helped me remember things I’ve forgotten about, also they are helping me teach my teenage daughter about welding. I just ordered something from the app and the receipt isn’t showing the #8 cup, I already have the hardware but was hoping for a new clear cup seeing as how I broke my last one a few weeks ago, but if I didn’t win one that’s ok.

Grrr... RUclips didn't notify me about this video! I need to spend some money on cups and gas lens stuff for my CK "gas cooled" 17 torch, one of the kits you have on your store. I think the clear cups will help me see better. Need some cheaters for inside my helmet too. Replaced my cheap regulator with one of the ones you sell a while ago.

They fit on the stubby adapter for the 17 26 torches also

What’s the best way to cut tungsten down for use with a small or medium back cap. I’ve tried bandsaw grinder pliers etc everything seems to splinter it

Yikes, I'm a novice to TIG, old eyes and am having a dickens of a time finding a clear cup that fits a Fronius torch.
Why do some torches have a white heat insulator on the back side as well?
I tried ordering 3 seperate times this past week. All three times I had issues on the app.
Do those cups with mesh use less gas, I mean can you run less gas through than with a standard pink cup? Will you ship to NZ lol?

An easy question for you.. when i weld aluminium i find my tungsten balls over very quickly.. is there specific type of tungsten that is more resilient to this.. welder is is an older type, non inverter ac/dc welder. Ive googled and found so many varying answers, and don’t actually have anyone around to ask...
my personal preference is 2% lanthanated because it will carry a lot more current than pure tungsten without balling up too much. A lot of folks also like LaYZr from CK

1/4 is .2500 = 250 amps, according to 1 amp per .001” formula, or is my math wrong ?
How can a company advertise a max 200 amp machine weld 1/4 inch or a max 225 amp machine and advertise weld up to 1/2 inch, if the machines don’t have the amps to weld those thicknesses.

Not sure if it helps or not but I usually use 17-20cfh with a #8 and 12-15ish with #5-6 cups with good results

Anyway the gas flow requirement is about the same between the glass and #12 alumina cup with gas lens. Of course the gas use will be way higher than with an old school collet body without any diffusing mesh.
Global welding supplies sell the Furyk cups and BOC (if you can stand those idiots) sell the CK ‘gas saver’ big Pyrex cups.
Just a fun fact: I thought that you were like ~45 years old for a long time :D

I don´t need to "open up" anything because I see everything in front of the cup. This is a sales video. As you say, I don´t always need it, so I never "need" it. Maybe you could specify why I need to see more behind the puddle? Or I´m gonna actually unsubscribe because you say your channel is free from bs, and to me this seems just like that. This is a sales pitch for some product you are affiliated with.
