  • 🔥 TIG Cup Showdown! In this welding video, we dive deep into the art of TIG welding excellence by exploring the impact of different cup sizes - 6, 7, 8, 10, and 12. 🛠️
Cup sizes in TIG welding refer to the diameter of the ceramic cup used to shield the welding arc and the tungsten electrode. The cup size affects the shape and size of the weld bead, as well as the amount of shielding gas coverage.
The ideal gas flow for each cup size in TIG welding can vary depending on factors such as the material being welded, the welding technique used, and the specific welding application.

My videos are recorded at working sites in various locations and welding positions.
90% of my welding projects in videos are x-rayed, and if you like to see hands-on projects, welcome!

Great video. Can You do the same experiment but on stainless steel, for example 316L, so we can see settings for amps and gas flow with the purge from the inside. Thank You

Dual of the Cup sizes. Sounds like a burlesque show. Lol
I always use a 12 to Cap TIG with.
Nice capping and Great video for a Sunday man.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I actually had no idea that I was supposed to adjust the gas flow in relation to the cup size. I’ve been running my gas at 25 with every cup size 🤦🏻‍♂️

That comparison for a 10vs8 on cap is big. I use 8 for EVERYTHING. Might need to switch up

Out in the field everyone just maxes out their gauge to between 100-200psi even if there is no wind, but very informative video I never thought of

They could run a 1/2’ rattle gun with those numbers 🤣🤣
But all seriousness, they can and do run higher than normal..but that isn’t an issue when you ain’t the one paying for the gas.

Thank you for the knowledge of the cups. Me personally I use stubby gas lenses furik #8, jazzy #10 fupa #12 and for aluminum standard #5 with CK worldwide water-cooled flex-loc #2 head. The cup's that you are showing is it a preference for pipe line welding? Most of my work is using the jazzy #10 it's my favorite cup unless doing SS exhaust work.

Ne mogu ja ovo, walking the cup me užasno frustrira. Konstantno mi klizi šoba, ili jednostavno ne mogu krenuti, radim lijevo desno ali keramika stoji na mjestu
