    Some lures work better depending on the season. The berkley flicker shad is my favourate of the year and caught many pike and giant walleye on it. Color is very important, I usually look for forage and match

      Totally agree. Seasons def mattter. That berkley flicker shad is great too!

    I spy them dollorama inline spinners! 😏
    And oddly I would argue that spoons are second easiest to catch fish with... Basic soft body swimbaits like the Mimic minnow are easiest because everything eats them. 😉 The Dollorama 2-pack minnow baits of course.
    One question I have is what lure would you suggest for when lake water has been churned and is quite murky? Would inline spinners be better or basically anything that makes noise and displaces water?
    Any any tips for trout are always welcome... And I find trout dough does not work.

      Thanks! Oh yes for sure....when its dark....bright colors and something like yah said that will make some noise will help. Or is running a bobber, nice smelly worms for Trout anytime! Hehe! Gl!

    This is an awesome video for a beginner like myself. One question I have is regarding the plastic lures you were showing at the end. I have a few different packs of live bait leeches. There are different sizes and different textures and the person at the store, Cabela's, told me that I need to always keep them sealed or they basically rot away after a while. In the video though I noticed yours are not sealed at all and are all sitting open in the tray. I'm assuming yours are different than the ones that need to be sealed, but what are they called then? Because I love the idea of having some that I actually don't have to keep in their own pouches.

      Thank you!!! Ohh well I ‘think’ it’s the power bait / scented ones for sure! So your plastics have added fish scent. So it keeps the nice and fresh for the fish. The ones I was using don’t have that so it don’t matter they’re out. I bet that’s it! Let me know

      @@SaskFisher ah! That makes sense. Yeah I think these are in the power bait category. I'll start looking for regular plastic as well just to have a different option.

    Hey question I don’t really use jerkbait and carkbaits and I don’t understand how to use them. Can I just cast and retrieve

    • @SaskFisher
      @SaskFisher  Год назад +2

      You can with both for sure. I do both ways an still catch fish. Technically jerk baits you reel and jerk snap em and reel. Just make em dart around. Cranks, I love....just reel em! Let me know how yah make out! hehe
