You are THE MAN Mr. Knigge. Thank you for the incredible instruction, guidance, and inspiration to get outdoors and adventure. I use the lessons learned from this channel, and I catch more fish because of what I learn here. Much love, thanks so much from Vancouver Island.
Last year I went fishing for trout and had a rough time. I've been following your videos since and have had great success. My entire setup was all wrong until I found you and your help.Rooster tails are my to go for trout in lakes and streams. Last week I caught 5 trout, 2 of which were 18" off rooster tails. My friends weren't sold on rooster tails until the end of the fishing trip when they had no luck, then switched to rooster tails and finally caught some trout. Thanks for the videos!
I love going to the river and catching fish on dry flies but there’s something simply beautiful about using powerboat on the lake. It always reminds me of fishing with my dad growing up. Now I take him to the lake and we just enjoy watching the ospreys flying around catching fish and looking at the mountains
Nothing like just hanging by the water with a couple drinks and a good snacklebox, and got some powerbait under a float just watching the trees and wildlife 🔥🎣
I would like to dispute what you believe is the Top 3...the three you presented are helpful for stocked fisheries. i would add one of the most deadly and fun is a simple Ultra-light rod/reel, a Bubble and a Fly. 4lb test, 5 or 6x tippet...4ft, then a simple brass swivel. slide the Bubble above the swivel, tie on the swivel, tie on tippet then choice of fly. Smaller is better in a size 18 or 22. Fill the bubble half way with water. That allows for the weight needed to cast out a long way w/a Ultra Light. Vary the retrieve as you would a Lure. You can fis a dry fly or a wet, Dropper/Fly method. It's a great way for kids to have fun vs watching a pole with bait. Very nice video
Classic Jordan at the end of the video. Had me rolling when he got all tangled up. Ive been getting "bent up" so much more often now that I'm an ADX and watch all of these videos. Going to try to get a Salmon tomorrow. Wish me luck?!?!
So far the best video I was completely doing wrong I like the way you explain the correct way very easy to understand and learn I appreciate you are work
Thanks for all the info. I haven't fished since I was a little boy. 46 now I have 3 boys I want to start taking fishing. Just didn't know how or what to use. I really appreciate this video.
I don't think I've seen any panfish on the channel before. I still love playing with them. When I'm hanging out at the lakes here in AZ I like to wade out with my tenkara rod and go to town on some gills and sunnies. I only really get to fish for trout in the winter unless I travel north. The Lower Salt River gets stocked with some really nice trout during the winter here.
From all the way down to Australia thanks for making it simple instead of these other vids where you tie 4 ridiculous knots and for someone who has only functioning use/ movement in one arm you you just simplified all the other BS on here 👍🤙🤙
I use casting bubbles with the the rubber band inside. however, I definitely have to stock some of the floats that you have deminstrated ! Informative video, thanks!
Jordan, huge fan of the channel. I notice you don't use a snap swivel from leader to lure. Just an ol knot. Is this standard practice for you? I may ditch the swivel too! Cheers.
You gave me complete help on the attach worm to hook part. Personally I don't use scissors to cut my work I just rip them with my hands but I never used the hole wear it was ripped to insert the hook. I would just hook the worm on and I feel like that is the main reason why my worms always get taken.
Cracking vid the diffrent types of yer methods were interesting you also could use live maggots and brandling worms which are lethal for the trout and other spieces the brandlings you will have to dig in well mature farm manure stinky job but worth it thats what we us in Scotland keep up yer guid work thanks.
My favorite rooster tail is the rooster tail minnow line. They seem to get hit so hard and they have a great flash because of the flakes and the minnow profile and eye design. I like to use an all fluorocarbon 4lb test line because it doesn't float and I use a snap swivel to reduce the line twist. I don't see any issues with fish being spooked by the snap swivel where I fish.
My goto lures are the kastmasters and krocodiles in natural colors such as silver, copper, gold, and or the half and halfs like silver and red, blue, orange, and green theres also the fire perch color works pretty well. Never really been a hue fan of rooster tails but sometimes theyre the only thing that will get bites and its always the glittery orange one with either a silver blade or a gold blade.
If my memory serves me correctly, y'all seem to be fishing Kress lake out in Kalama. I go there often and never get anything, hopefully I can use these techniques and do better next time.
That’s exactly how I put my worms on the hook. Most people put a whole worm my grandfather told me when I was young you only need half a worm or less you’ll still catch them, and you can catch more using less 👍
I'm pretty bad with knots and have started using the Tie Fast Knot tool so that I can use nail knots or double nail knots to secure bumpers and lures. Hav you ever used that knot or tool?
Maybe a dumb question, but in your bait method with a float, are you using the same 6-10 ft bumper that you had in the spinner setup and then connecting that to another 1-2 ft bumper with a swivel. Or going from braid to 1-2ft bumper
I fished on a lake last summer exactly like that. You never see a trout jumping. I tried everything, inflated worm from the bottom, powerbait, spinners (all kind), floats with worm and nothing. The only fish you catch there are rudd fish and sometimes chubs. I get the feeling that there were no trout left in there (there is a pike problem, but nobody is able to cath them as well). If i change my location I catch plenty of fish. Thank you for the tips!
I've been looking at buying the Okuma C30 but I am confusing myself reading the breakdown on it. Can you set it up just like this video with the 20 lb. braid ? It says 130 yards 8 LBs. I was reading it as alot lighter . My other reel I used a lighter braid and its pretty nice but I do find it more difficult to work with knots and its difficult maneuvering through my fingers. thanks for the great videos!
I was fishing power bait the wrong way . After watching this I went out this morning and caught three trout in an hour . Thank you
Same
Lol literally same. I was trying to fish it off the top. Same line setup and everything, went out after this caught 2 in 15 minutes.
Most accurate depiction of 2 pole fishing. The tangles, the reaction, perfect.
it's so relatable it hurts
Just wanted to says thank you all for all theses videos. Yall really help us newbies, please keep it up and thank you again
Ive watched a lot or "beginners " videos. This is the best! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Great video. "Nobody panic!” Cracked me up.

Over fathers day weekend, my dad, sister, mother and I caught a total of 17 trout on rooster tails. None were under 12 inches. They work wonders
@@terradagon258what color
@@lundenpizarro2863 rainbow
@@lundenpizarro2863 🤦 you meant the lure. Depends is the day but I think that day it was a silver spoon with a red tail
One of the best beginner friendly fishing videos I’ve seen thank you very much

Man i think you explain stuff at my speed. Fast and to the point. I love it. I love watching ya. Thx
I appreciate that!
Love this video. Made me laugh and taught me a lot. Thank you!!!!
Nothing like just hanging by the water with a couple drinks and a good snacklebox, and got some powerbait under a float just watching the trees and wildlife 🔥🎣
Agreed!
Just landed my first rainbow trout after watching your vids. Great advice, thanks a bunch
Love your enthusiasm and the reality of fishing.
beauty of fresh water the trout..amazing work
Glad to see that I'm not the only one who get excited when the tip bends. Fun video!
I haven't had luck w spinners until last month. Panther Martin have been saving me.thanks so much sir for getting me into this hobby
I’ve been having really good results with little Cleo’s this year!

Very nice video
I've caught more trout with this method than all other methods that I've tried, combined. Always good action.
I don't know what half of that means.so gunna start doing research..thank u

We def gotta get more bass fishing on the channel! I’d watch the tournaments for sure.
Thank you for this video! I’m going trout fishing tomorrow for the first time and really appreciate this great information 👏🏻
The only video you'll ever need for lake trout fishing. Thanks boss. New sub. Great vids
Excellent video bud I’m a bass/crappie guy yet I’m surrounded by trout in Northern California lol so trying to learn and definitely did.
My friends and I went fishing the other day and caught 11 trout using all 3 methods you showed.
this time the beauty of fresh water catch...amazing wok
So far the best video I was completely doing wrong I like the way you explain the correct way very easy to understand and learn I appreciate you are work
Awesome. Trying to get my kids involved. Love the way you give detail.
like just for being a real fisher man standing in rain and shooting video u rock
I so enjoy watching. Especially when there's action and you almost miss it. Great work and education. Thank you.
Nice to be able to have 2 rods in the water and experiment with different presentations.
Great video!
Thanks for all the info. I haven't fished since I was a little boy. 46 now I have 3 boys I want to start taking fishing. Just didn't know how or what to use. I really appreciate this video.
Thank you for the effort you put into these videos! They’ve been a huge help.
all three of those spinners, with variety of them all are always in my tackle box!
Good video man. You explained everything pretty clear for a rookie like me. Thanks 🤟
Great guide Jordan 👍
Thank you!
I like the way you put the rubber on the bobber ends.

Great video for setup of all three methods!
I tried your brads killer cut plug method and caught my second best trout 6lbs. Thank you
I use casting bubbles with the the rubber band inside. however, I definitely have to stock some of the floats that you have deminstrated ! Informative video, thanks!
Another great video Jordan
I’m going fishing and camping next month, wish me luck!!😀
Jordan - great video! what are your thoughts on using a snap swivel at the end of the leader to rapidly change out lures?
Great video. Thank you.
Really great info. Thanks!
Great idea to dig a hole for the rod!
Jordan, huge fan of the channel. I notice you don't use a snap swivel from leader to lure. Just an ol knot. Is this standard practice for you? I may ditch the swivel too! Cheers.
Love the content man! I’m in Las Vegas and just learning to fish. Floyd Lamb Park in the NW stocks the lakes with fish.
I want to go fishing now this is awesome
A lot of fun 🐟

What a great video.
Great video man 🙌🏽
Do u ever use a worm threader they’re great
Last time we took all the kids fishing they were so excited that two of the them fell into the lake. I should have yelled NO BODY PANTIC !!
Jordan’s knowledge is unmatched. It always amazes me when he sets the hook too quick and loses good sized fish though haha! He’s so eager lol

Awesome videos !!!
Is there a good way to gauge water depth/grass when setting up your weight?

Jordan maybe I missed it but what size rooster tail do you use great video ag.
Another good tactic is instead of power bait you can thread a crawler on your hook and blow some air in it so it floats off the bottom.
10:30 😅 "Nobody panic"😂😂
Ps, I use casting bubbles with dry flys matching the hatch!
When fishing with an egg/bullet sinkers, do you keep the bail open or light drag or normal drag for the trout to run a bit with a floating bait? 🐡
Almost as chaotic as me. I love it.
Do you recommend flicking the rod while using spinner bait to add a extra action to the bait spinners?
Going camping and hiking up to a small lake tomorrow, thanks for the inspo 🌲⛺️🏔
Don't forget to check if your power bait floats before you toss it out.
I fish that lake all the time. Has some great catfish there as well!
Mind sharing which lake that is?
I'm pretty bad with knots and have started using the Tie Fast Knot tool so that I can use nail knots or double nail knots to secure bumpers and lures. Hav you ever used that knot or tool?
Really enjoyed your video. Do you mind? What state are you in?
I feel like I've been using to big of rod for a long time. Going to get smaller rod and see if that improves my chances.
Never give up.
Never surrender🤣
Where are you located? It looks beautiful.
Maybe a dumb question, but in your bait method with a float, are you using the same 6-10 ft bumper that you had in the spinner setup and then connecting that to another 1-2 ft bumper with a swivel. Or going from braid to 1-2ft bumper
I use 4 pound mono never had any problems
FG knot is king

If there's a pike problem and no trout, you know what the pike are eating. Fish a large trout-like lure!
HEY HEY HEY!!!!!
I've been looking at buying the Okuma C30 but I am confusing myself reading the breakdown on it. Can you set it up just like this video with the 20 lb. braid ? It says 130 yards 8 LBs. How much braided line can you get on the c-30?
Does the high vis line not affect the bite at all I always thought you had to have all light line especially for stocked trout?
That is what the leader is for. Probably fluorocarbon which is incredibly difficult to see in water.
do you guys have any starter type kits for trout? it'll be cool if yall did cause then i wouldnt confused on all the weird stuff that they sell
Where in washington state is this lake, please help...
Does the color of the water make a difference in what color of lure to use
Does the power bait float?
Add an inflated crawler,to the same Carolina rig.Tight lines to you all.
It made me a little bit mad when he saw the fish jumping 20 feet in front of him and did not cast to it 😂😂
Do spinners work for stocked trout in lakes?
my dear friend, no need thick line, use special spinner baitlock to stop tangle.
Do u not like using the guide select pro for throwing spinners??
