I was feeling this makeup all day. I don't know if I could get to a place where I never wear concealer, but it was so refreshing to wear this all day and not see any creasing under my eyes after hours and hours of laughing and facial movements 🥺😭 I definitely think it's made me feel more comfortable with was less concealer...
Honestly, you have gorgeous eyes and your under-eye pigmentation is part of the beauty! I love how wearable this look is for aging or acne-prone skin, not to mention it really helps one embrace their natural complexion and beauty! Thanks for the video 💓
As always, you look amazing. I feel like you could do some "challenge" videos for yourself (considering this is a "no foundation/concealer" challenge -- like, "no brushes" or "you slept too long; 5 minute" challenges.
I'm definitely into these videos that are more about setting a vibe rather than covering up what people see as imperfections. I don't wanna hide my face I want to enhance it!
THANK YOU for this video!! I don't use foundation, only use concealer under my eyes, and I feel like I rarely see beauty videos without using complexion products
Same girl, I'm really not used to using foundation cuz I always feel like it will cause small pimples to come out, but concealer, our friend specially with some darkness under our eyes. It just depends on our individual skin condition.
@@Amynka4578 do you have any skin care? Cuz that's the key, doesn't have to be bougie or expensive just find the key ingredients that works for your skin. Hope it helps
In my personal, humble opinion, you've never looked more luxurious! It looks real, sexy, the earings give it a glamorous vibe that combines exquisitely with the rest of the face... It's a total win for me. You look spectacular.
This is a beautifully written comment and it's such a well-thought-out compliment! No but you're so right though she looks fantastic. I loveee the earrings.
genuinely my favorite look she's ever done. i feel like the undereyes add so much to the look more than they take away i never understand why people conceal them they just look SO GOOD!
This is SOO refreshing to see. I feel like the makeup community is about hiding natural beauty rn, so to see you lean into your natural beauty is so cool. Plus it looks SO GOOD
The way you incorporated under eye bags into your makeup is what I've been looking for a tutorial on!! I've always thought dark circles were so pretty and it was a shame we hate them so much
I have puffy circles and I don’t care how many beauty gurus say they know the right products or techniques to cover them up, these are a part of my face and no amount of makeup will cover them. I tried erasing them once when playing around with a photo editing app and even then, I think I just look wrong without them, lol
I used to hate mine so I bought concealer to cover it up, my eyes looked so much smaller so I hated using concealer. I always had to bring some darkness back with eyeshadow to make it look better. Now I love my dark circles because I realized it brings out my eye shape more. Maybe I'd use some concealer if I look really tired on a day where there'd be picture taking involved but most of the time, I just use tinted sunscreen to make it a bit lighter. I always thought it was weird for people to compliment my eyes back then but I guess the dark circles helped. Embrace your insecurities because maybe they're not something you should be insecured about in the first place!
I freaking loved this video Alex! As a woman over 50, its super cool to see younger women embrace how beautiful they can be without a ton of make-up and still look stunningly glam!😍
Fellow dark circle girl here and just have to say that this look is incredible on you! It gives you this sort of exotic and mysterious vibe. I love it!
I don’t use foundation or concealer (I can never stand how it feels on my skin, even when it claims to be “lightweight”), so this tutorial really speaks to me 🥰 You look stunning as ever. More no foundation looks please!
This has to be my favorite look on you that you've done in years. Seriously you look SO good. Thank you for going out of your comfort zone bc it WORKS!
Whoa that inner corner really did completely change it. On my minimal days when I only do contour on the lids, eyeliner, mascara and brows, I'm going to add some highlight in the corner. Nice✨ Do you (or anybody here) have a recommendation for a hypoallergenic eye primer? I've been using the Urban Decay eye potion but it makes my eyes itchy. Thanks in advance!💖 I loved this video☀ and I appreciate you!
Idk much about eye primers, but my friend with vitiligo on her eyes (which makes her makeup melt off easier) uses a light coat of stick lip balm (applied to the finger then patted on the eye lid) followed by a couple spritzes of NYX Bare With Me setting spray + primer. Let it dry for a few seconds until tacky before applying eyeshadow. Idk how it would work for other people, but it works wonders for her!!! She also uses setting spray after literally every face step. Foundation and blend, spray, concealer and blend, spray, contour and highlight blend, spray, blush, spray lol. So if you have a lib balm you use that doesn’t trigger allergies, try it out.(:
I don't typically use foundation, but concealer is a MUST for my dark circles and stupid a$$ sunspots. Anybody reading this: WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN DAY!
Ya, got a sunspot over an eyebrow, and it wouldn’t bother me except for the texture changes. It bothers me less, overall, than the veins in my face, whether varicosities/rosacea.
I do this all the time cause I have super sensitive, acne prone skin. I love just using color products. They’re less likely to break me out and I feel like me but elevated. This looked beautiful!
Aaa I don't want to bother with finding the right shade so this is what I do every single time! I love eyeshadow and eye looks, I just don't do anything to my cheeks/forehead/undereyes except for blush and a tiny bit of highlight. Good to see other people liking the look!
No concealer and foundation is something I started at the beginning of the pandemic because of masks. And I'm totally into it. Then I started to improve my skin care and got better skin, and it gives me such a good feeling about myself. If I'm going out to eat or something and feel like I need a bit more, I use a little finishing powder under the eyes for brightening and a little setting powder for a tiny bit of coverage. I think you look good without foundation and concealer too.
I LOVE THIS! As a teen, I never left the house without a full face of makeup. Now... all the layers feel gross, smothering & is sometimes just really fking disappointing when things start to get weird, pill or oxidizes funny throughout the day. Now it's my skincare, a dab of hemorrhoid cream under the eyes (yall, it works so well), primer, a touch of color corrector & tinted sunscreen to even overall tone. I have to say that I feel way more confident now without having to worry if scratching my nose is going to ruin the whole shebang. I do miss playing with my eyes though so this gives me a dash of motivation 💋💗🤘
Ive never felt more like makeup can enhance NATURAL beauty more than this video. So creative and honestly just part of what i always want to express about the beauty of make up (in just one way). Thank you for this video. You have become one of my favorite beauty related youtube people because you’re so creative and you bring in your art background. It makes me love something I’m so passionate about SO much more (make-up). THANK YOU ❤️❤️ love your content!!!!
This look is great on you! I've ALWAYS had very dark circles under my eyes (only one in the family...yay) & I get tired of concealer/foundation creasing too. I'll definitely try this out! Thanks for being so brave 😉
literally did a toned down version of this like two days ago and i'm so glad that I can see a person with such a following do this too, as a beginner it's a real STRUGGLE for me to find my shade in complexion products so it's way less stressful to me to just do the fun stuff like blush eyeshadow bronzer etc
I quit using foundation and concealer years ago because I felt like they just made me look worse, especially in direct sunlight. It’s refreshing to see someone who doesn’t act like foundation is a must-have or that applying other makeup (like eyes, brows) without it is sacrilege
Gorgeous!! I've seen Katie J. Hughes use this technique. I love how you embrace your own coloring. I have never seen anyone try this beside you two lovely ladies! Beautiful!!! 😍 So inspiring.
Omg Alexandra. I have no words. This look is everything. It's funny how I love dark circles on you and how I hate mine. But I definitely will try a look like this. This is sexy and empowering. Thank you for this.
YES! You’re the only guru I’ve found who really knows what dark circles look like!! I’ve tried every brightener, concealer, color corrector etc but wind up taking it off because it looks cakey AF on my late thirties undereye fine lines. Lately I’ve been leaning into rolling with it rather than fighting it too!! I feel like I have to choose between circles or wrinkles because one or the other will show no matter how I do my makeup. I’d rather show the circles than the fine lines!
OMG I have been waiting for this video for a while!!! I’ve gotten tired of full on foundation for a while so I decided to try and simulate this differently and try and see what works. It usually goes, moisturizer, sunscreen, solid bronzer, translucent powder, blush and highlighter. I have bad acne scars and it amazingly heavily blurs them
This is a fantastic look AND thank you for showing you don't need to cover up natural skin to do gorgeous glam looks. +1000 to more of this- variations on practically bare skin, from natural to glam.
You look fabulous..your skincare routine is really paying off. So smart how you incorporated the eyeshadow color into the darkness of your skin under your eyes. Super groovy
Thank you for doing this video!! I am never able to find a foundation that looks good on my skin, stopped trying years ago. It’s nice to feel your skin breath and look beautiful at the same time!
I have always wanted to incorporate my dark circles to my eye looks as I love creative eyelooks but always felt the pressure to cancel the bags out completely! Thank you so so so much for thus video. It really gave me a piece of mind and confidence to actually try it out!! 💕💕💕
Adding the bright highlight to the inner corner made the look kinda give me Arcane vibes. I think it's he combination of the dark smoky eyes and the strong highlight right there. Pretty cool!
Wowwww the sienna line and warm smokey make your green eyes look AMAZING!! I’ve never owned foundation or concealer Or much else so it’s neat to see what products can work without a base
I have really dark circles (+ they are also kind of like yours in shape) and I honestly don't like using foundation nor much concealer, however, I tend to do more "natural" eye makeup looks, so seeing videos like this makes me so happy and eager to try looks that are more glam!
I'm in love with that thick eyeliner. Also, I would love to see you try out the new e.l.f. Powder Foundation. I tried it out and I'm not sure if it's just my skin type clashing with it, but it looked so bad on me lol
Gosh, I just LOVE your personality and the kind of humble confidence you have. I don’t ever comment on these types of videos cause I’m not really a make up user anymore but you just inspire me to come back to it and use it as an expression and experimental tool rather then a “to hide my insecurities” kinda thing. I don’t know if you need to read this today but you are relevant and important to this community on the internet. Thank you for everything you do.
This is my favorite look I've ever seen you do. You look so real and that is absolutely beautiful. I personally have always found dark circles to be very pretty and look like watercolor. I think you should keep playing with looks that embrace them! 💕
You definitely made this work 1000%!!!! Fabulous, Alex!!! I regularly blow my lower lash line out A LOT to cover my fine lines. I don't know if I could pull this off. My skin has such uneven coloring!! Not as in dark circles, but red cheeks, perimeter sun damage.... that sort of thing. You've definitely given me the inspiration to try though!! Great video!! Blessings to you, Alex!! ✌️💚🙏
I think you look fantabulous!! I always like the more natural look (if possible) and so many younger women can completely get away with it just like you do here. The blended shading on the eyes is my favorite look.
Here it is! I've been waiting for this since your eyebrow pencil and blush lip came out. I can't get over how great this looks on you! It's absolutely lux. 🙆💖 I feel about my naturally red cheeks, the way you do about your dark circles. But, there's something about how you worked your blush and bronzer that is seriously inspiring me. I want to try just some bronzer on my "natural blush" now! Thank you!!
Man this was refreshing, I got plenty of fine lines around my eyes and whenever I wear foundation or concealer it creases throughout the day, so I never wear anything anymore but still a TON of eye and lip makeup 😂❤️ I love it
Yeah friggin love this look. I’ve skipped all base products for the last two years bc I’m required to wear a mask at work. Next week no mask requirement, but I don’t want to start wearing foundation again bc my skin loves the no -makeup life. This is giving me great inspo 🙌
Thank you for doing this video idea. I feel like you are almost celebrating and emphasizing what your natural eye area looks like. How cool are you?!? ❤️
I LOVE the way this look accentuated your natural eye colouring! I also have dark undereyes, I always thought it was just me but my 8 year old sister has them too so it must be genetic.
Omg this look is fantastic. It’s grungy and seductive at the same time. I’m going to try this. I have to wear concealer or foundation because of redness but I will try to just incorporate it into a look.
I love this look! As a dark-circle girl, and not being able to afford decent makeup for a very long period of my life, I kinda got used to the dark circles, to the point that, when I actually got to color-correct and conceal properly, I thought I was really weird looking! Concealer really changes our faces' proportions, it is really nice that you stepped out of your comfort zone here. Great video! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Omgggg I LOVE THIS VIDEO I don't use either foundation nor concealer, only eyeliner, eyeshadow sometimes, and a bit of a light eyeshadow contouring my nose. I feel like I look so fake with foundation- so thank you!!
Thanks need this for my summer job, working at & camping at festivals in the heat all day long! Video request: A battle of the skin tints/bb creams/tinted moisturisers, particularly affordable ones!xx
I loooove this! This is like 90% of the makeup I do lol, I just hate the feeling of complexion products all over my face, but I love doing the fun parts of eyes and lips.
I am soo happy to see this..I am medium tan and I have hyperpigmentation and also dark circles but I never put concealer or any base..I am glad that people are actually doing this 💛💛💛💛
I LOOOOVE this video and concept! I hope you do more foundationless looks, I have never worn makeup because I can't stand the feeling of foundation and I have such a hard time making everything look coherent without it but in the last 2 months I have been super drawn to do my makeup and figure it out. I love how you worked with your existing shadows and added light where needed to draw the eye. So inspiring!
Dude! It looks DOPE AF! I do this all the time and you’re absolutely right…it does make you see yourself differently-dare I say better..? (Though a full face will always have it’s place)
I'm so excited for this because I refuse to wear face makeup but I genuinely love eye looks 💗💗 great to see it done by a pro, makes me feel better going against the grain
Ok but like you're so gorgeous without any make up at all, dark circles and all so enhancing your beauty this way was amazing, you literally don't need an ounce of foundation or concealer. Literally rocked this, I'm in awe 😍
Omg, I love this. I love doing a dramatic eye and nothing else (k, maybe a tinted lip gloss). My skin is super sensitive, and I’m lazy af anyway so… yeah, just moisturizer with spf for me. It is really refreshing to see makeup videos like this. Thank you! ;)
I think it would be so interesting for you to try Ankush Bahuguna’s concealer eyeshadow technique. It’s all about strategic placement concealer and taking advantage of natural darkness on and around your eyes
🙌 Nice to see this. With dark purple circles on my extremely fair skin, I tend to cover just them and go foundation free. Such a nice look, and might try this myself 😅
thank you so much for thus video, I never wear foundation or concealer and it makes me feel included to see for once a makeup tutorial without them 🥰 btw the look you did is stunning, please update us on how long the complexion products wore on bare skin.
Really loved this. I work in healthcare and I really would love to experiment with makeup but base products are pointless when you're wearing an N95 all day. But this gave me alot of ideas . You're gorgeous yanno! 💚 Way to battle your insecurities along the way. It was refreshing to see someone who does beauty feeling vulnerable and not putting on a show for the camera. Authenticity is a rare find, and you're a treasure. 💚
Alex you have truly outdone yourself ❤️ honestly your eye for shape and colour astounds me - you managed to capture the exact warm undertone of your dark circles and reshape them in a way to give your eyes lift. It’s makeup at its best - finding the beauty in what you’ve got. And the end result is sexy, sophisticated and sleek. My Dark circles are also my biggest insecurity and this video made me love myself a little more. Bravo 😻❤️
i love this! i avoided concealer for a longggggg time because i kind of loved playing up my dark circles and this was really fun & refreshing to see!! i hope this inspires more dark circle people to embrace their natual smoldery-ness :)
Dude, highlighter placement. 😉 This looks beautiful! Love it, hope to try it at work soon. My skin just rebels against complexion products but I love makeup. What a solution.
Girl, you are talented. I don’t know if I could pull off not wearing some kind of tint on my face. After watching you, I’ll give it a try. Wish me luck. Thanks for this video.
I was feeling this makeup all day. I don't know if I could get to a place where I never wear concealer, but it was so refreshing to wear this all day and not see any creasing under my eyes after hours and hours of laughing and facial movements 🥺😭
I definitely think it's made me feel more comfortable with was less concealer...
The look has a anime vibe?? with the eyes, they look so big and pretty.
i know you’ve tried it, but the becca under eye brightening corrector really works for me without creasing

Hey 2022 French Fashion Week featured a natural lower eye in their models looks! Sans concealer!!💕 LOVED this!!💕💕💕
You definitely made this work 1000%!!!!
Ok that looks dope af!
Uncovered blemishes and a full-on glam eye is such a off-duty rockstar vibe. It is like 'here is my face: cope'
Here it is! I've been waiting for this since your eyebrow pencil and blush lip came out.
I can't get over how great this looks on you! It's absolutely lux. 🙆💖
I feel about my naturally red cheeks, the way you do about your dark circles.
You really look intimidating… it’s flawless, I’m really impressed. Thanks for the vid
The orange on your waterline is pheNOMinAL with your eyes. I can’t.
Omgggg I LOVE THIS VIDEO
I don't use either foundation nor concealer, only eyeliner, eyeshadow sometimes, and a bit of a light eyeshadow contouring my nose.
I feel like I look so fake with foundation- so thank you!!
Thanks need this for my summer job, working at & camping at festivals in the heat all day long!
Video request:
A battle of the skin tints/bb creams/tinted moisturisers, particularly affordable ones!xx
So inspiring!
idk what to say but this look is so elegant and beautiful to me, my fav you have ever done
So fresh! I really like it! Thank u for showing your techniques!
Let Ziva play! Her happiness is more important than audio quality and it’s cute to know there’s a kitty down there living their best life.
This suits you so well! It’s amazing what it can do when you enhance your natural features instead of covering them.
Thank you! ;)
What a look! I look very sickly and I am going to adopt it ASAP 🩶
I think it would be so interesting for you to try Ankush Bahuguna’s concealer eyeshadow technique. It’s all about strategic placement concealer and taking advantage of natural darkness on and around your eyes
Yaas to keeping 'em videos long!! 🙌🏻
ALEX, THIS IS SOOOOO CHIC AND EDITORIAL! You look GORGEOUS!
🙌 Nice to see this. With dark purple circles on my extremely fair skin, I tend to cover just them and go foundation free. Such a nice look, and might try this myself 😅
thank you so much for thus video, I never wear foundation or concealer and it makes me feel included to see for once a makeup tutorial without them 🥰 btw the look you did is stunning, please update us on how long the complexion products wore on bare skin.
this is literally still the best makeup look I think I've ever seen!
Girl your skinnnnn 😍😍😍 been with you since you started your skincare journey it all paid off so proud of you💋❤️❤️❤️
Alex you have truly outdone yourself ❤️ honestly your eye for shape and colour astounds me - you managed to capture the exact warm undertone of your dark circles and reshape them in a way to give your eyes lift. It’s makeup at its best - finding the beauty in what you’ve got. And the end result is sexy, sophisticated and sleek. My Dark circles are also my biggest insecurity and this video made me love myself a little more. Bravo 😻❤️
Finally! I haven't worn foundation in like 8 years and just don't get why others choose to if they have nice skin! You have beautiful skin btw
i love this! i avoided concealer for a longggggg time because i kind of loved playing up my dark circles and this was really fun & refreshing to see!! i hope this inspires more dark circle people to embrace their natual smoldery-ness :)
This has like a French girl vibe to it. Idk how to explain it lol. Very fresh and "natural glam." I love ❤️
this is so helpful for male face makeup to look undetectable!! thank you queen
Dude, highlighter placement. 😉 This looks beautiful! Love it, hope to try it at work soon. My skin just rebels against complexion products but I love makeup. What a solution.
You honestly look great without makeup and you have fabulous skin.
Girl, you are talented. I don’t know if I could pull off not wearing some kind of tint on my face. After watching you, I’ll give it a try. Wish me luck. Thanks for this video.
This is so cool! I have VERY dark circles, but I think I'm going to try this.
