hey Alex please make a tutorial about Hiding thin Facial hair with makeup "Peach fuzz hair" it makes my makeup looks bad and I can't remove it unfortunately
I bought the Omnia pillow after watching one of your older videos. My face has become lop-sided due to years of side sleeping. The pillow works to stop face squishing and prevent deep lines in the morning . . . when I can find the right placement for my head! After 6 months, I still have a hard time finding the sweet spot that's comfortable. And if I have a migraine, FORGET IT. Nothing is comfortable on that pillow. My neck is permanently stiff since transitioning to the Omnia, and sometimes I wonder if the absence of smoosh lines and puffiness is worth the pain in the neck . . . BUT, I did invest several weeks of my time this summer designing and making my own silk pillow cases for it from scratch, so I'm not giving up on the pillow yet!! (for anyone reading this far, the pillow only comes with ONE cover. Just ONE. And they're insanely expensive to buy)
The initial connection that I made with you was the fact that we both have a lot of darkness around our eyes. And I really appreciate your authenticity when it comes to your real face so thank you
Technique. This is where it’s at. Not constantly reviewing make up products, but actually how to use them! This is what I’m here for, and this is what you do so wonderfully well! Well, I don’t have as much darkness as you do under the eyes, I have the wrinkles and the crêpiness. It can be very challenging to deal with putting anything under the eyes. I found this video before putting on my make up this morning. I’m so happy I did because for the first time now, my cream concealer is looking so much better in my eyes than ever before! I think a key trick also is to use a powder that is not too creamy.
That's so true. About more technique and less endless product reviews. Even though Alex's base product recommendations unfortunately don't suit my skin type(except for that halo glow powder, which is a shame, really). Her videos about technique improved my makeup. Ten times. And I can make them work with whatever makeup I currently fancy
i deadass thought you started the video with no makeup on. When you said you already had a full face on, I was so surprised. Your skin looks absolutely amazing. The base looks so natural. I'm genuinely in awe right now.
Thank you for this. As a pre-teen in the early 1980s, when my friends were trying lip gloss and mascara, my mother taught me how to use concealer. Nothing like having crazy dark circles your entire life.
Oh my gosh…you playing my song! Me too! Pre-teen in the 80’s who could not wait for parents to give the ok to wear makeup….then headed straight for the concealer! 🤣 pink frosty lipstick and blue eye shadow came later.
Thank you for this video, I’m 28 and I’ve been struggling a lot recently with my under eye creasing. I’ve been really hard on myself, especially when my friends seem to have smooth perfect under eyes without effort. I’m super careful with my skin but really beat myself up over it!! How you said it’s just the way your anatomy is made me feel like it’s not weird and you can still be pretty despite having lines under the eyes. Thank you!! ❤❤❤
As someone who has very wrinkly under eyes as well as dark circles this is sooo helpful! I needed the reminder to not bring my concealer up so high and leave it *below* the wrinkles lol thank you!!!
Yay, a dark circles video ! They're never too numerous for us pandas... you having real dark circles and talking about in an efficient way is what made me subscribe 🤗
I also have lines under my eyes so I just accepted the fact that it will have gathering and creasing around those areas. I just do it like Alex does, prepping, portion control and placement of the products. Because the more product you put on there, at least for my case, the more the creasing/gathering will be visible and icky. Just do a few touch-ups every now and then. Blend it with fingers or whatever tool you have for that day.
I’m blessed with no dark circles under my eyes at 58 years old. But I am cursed with bags the size of luggage and crepey skin. Please do tips/ makeup for minimizing eye bags.❤❤❤
Your videos are my favorite makeup videos because not only do you talk about the product, but you go so in depth on DIFFERENT skin textures, tones, and needs that of course vary based on person. The knowledge up in that brain of yours is CRAZY cool. You lil makeup scientist
This video was made for me. I learned how to use concealer before anything else as a teen, but creasing is and always has been the worst! Thanks for the tips.
This is the content i subscribe for… my dark inner circles are my biggest struggle & we have very similar coloring! Thanks for keeping us in the loop as you learn more & get better.
@@imemilina hey, she already talked about it 3 years ago, the video is called “finally uploading my under eye filler update..” so check it out, she explained everything 😊
I'm in my 40s with inherited super dark circles under my eyes which are also deep set and hooded. Struggled so hard with cakey, crepey skin with concealer. I tried the steps in this video and it was a HUGE improvement. Even made me look a bit younger. Thanks Alex!!
I haven't been really wearing makeup daily since covid. But I've been dealing with a lot of stressful things over the last year plus lack of sleep my under eyes have a lot more lines now. I've been trying to figure out a not crease routine and haven't been successful yesterday but I can't wait to try this! Was literally on here to look up techniques. When this video was posted ❤
I'm 22 and have lots of creasing under my eyes just because it's normal. Like I smile and have a lot of fat in my bottom eyelids that moves and bends which is gonna cause creasing just like the lines in the palms of our hands, they're natural. I also have super dark circles partially due to genetics, due to sleep issues, and chronic allergies lol. I love your dark circle tutorials because your under-eyes match mine lol
Thank you for the showing the technique. Your dark circles and eyes are exactly like mine, the only difference being that I’m a brown-skinned person. In any case, I’m sure the technique is going to work 😊❤
I finally picked up the LA Girl on your recommendation. Just got it yesterday so haven’t really worn it but put some on by itself yesterday to kind of see what it does and whoa it made a difference. Excited to do a full face today ❤
I recently started noticing darker circles and some lines and I thought it was because I changed my moisturizer recently but thanks to you, I just realized I'm not letting my skincare marinate long enough, AND letting my concealer sit for a bit before setting. Trying this on the weekend, thank you!
Love love LOVE that you show the texture. There’s a difference between texture and creasing and makeup weirdness. But like you make texture look so good and it reminded me that when wearing makeup I’m going to get textureeeeee ❤
Hello Alex, I just wanna say that you’re my go to RUclipsr whenever I want tips on how to cover my dark circles. Your tips are helpful & your recommendations for hydrating concealers are the best! My dark circles are like yours, dark, fine lines and kinda hollow so I had a hard time finding the best way to cover it up. So thanks! Love you 😘
Your timing is brilliant! ❤ I've been meaning to search for a tutorial for this! Edit- Actually really appreciate the pillow recommendation as well! I've been trying to sleep on my back to help combat the face wrinkles and it's a struggle. Would love any pillow recs for back sleeping as well! Google search isn't cutting it.
I’m always here for a dark circle video, your tutorials have helped me so much! Got the elf halo glow powder on your reco and it has been a game changer for me. Your vibe is so soothing and confidence inspiring!
I’m having a consultation for my troughs by an eye surgeon. I’m 54. I’ve had bags and dark circles forever. I use amazing skin care and hydrate always. I will check out the pillow. Thank you
I have the pillow! I love it. I actually saw James Welsh 2 years ago or so say he liked it and he had a code so I ordered it! Love your content. I'm 58 and have drier skin now. I do have a good skin treatment regimen so maybe can you do a tutorial for mature skin with hooded eyes please!
Okay so someone in another video I just watched recommended you for concealer and my gosh she wasn't wrong! I have very similar eye crepey-ness and hate the way concealer looks. Luckily my dark circles are minimal, but the dryness when I powder, despite allllll the prep, is awful. Saved this video and following along tomorrow! And subbed.
I love how you use the darkness beneath your eye to define it more rather than doing what so many of us do, which is canceling all discoloration out just to add back the color.😂 and I also love how you stress things that are just your genetic makeup, your anatomy, because so many people want to tell other people it’s because of something in their control when it is not- not eating right, not exercising, not drinking enough water, because of previous Botox or some other injections they chose to get, allergies, not getting enough sleep, sleeping too much, being vitamin deficient in X,y or Z~ the list goes on and on what people will tell another when that is not always the case and genetics is always side stepped.
Thank you. This is my favorite video so far and I’ve been following you for a while. The details that you shared were so realistic for any ability. And, it looked fantastic!! ❤️
Kind of a long comment , but total game changer if you have pretty much any under eye issue. I’m 50 with deep set eyes that have discoloration, and a tiny bit of creapiness under one. My routine makes them look almost perfect. Like Alex said, using the least amount of product is key. I’d also tap the product in, only because the heat from my fingers makes the products look better on me. The only thing I’d add is buy some reusable eye patches, and NIOD’s Multi - Molecular Hyaluronic Complex (Currently on sale). It has 18 forms of hyaluronic acid. This is important, because these various types of hyaluronic acid have different molecular weights. Some are small enough to get down into the deeper layers of the skin. Others are meant to stay in the middle layers of the skin, and still others are meant to stay at the top of the skin. They all work to plump out that under eye, helping with fine lines, wrinkles, creapiness, and even decoloration. Dab some of the complex under the bottom of your eye, stick a patch on it to help with absorption, and leave on for 15 minutes. Then go in with a light eye gel or light eye cream. Let it absorb for a good 5 minutes. Your peepers are now prepped! Oh, Hada Labo also makes a good hyaluronic acid. It has eight forms of hyaluronic acid, which is still good and cheaper.😊
Great video Alex! Btw your voice is so perfect on the ASMR video. I have unfortunate insomnia and night terror issues and just listening allowed me to remove all negative thoughts and fears from my mind for time I listened. There is absolutely a connection between artistry and calmness because I have always found that those with that natural gift have always been able to relax me like Bob Ross. Sorry this was not particularly subject specific to your video but wanted to share. Be well.
Aagghhh!! Thank you so much for this!! I had been using your other under eye technique, and it was definitely much better. Can’t wait to level up for even BETTER coverage and problem solving! I’ve got realllly dark, hollow, 56 year old eyes. So yeah. Ya girl’s got issues. Keep you posted on how it goes!😉
Thank you so much for this tutorial ever since i was a little girl i always had 'dark circles' and lines because of my genetics so this is really helpful !
Alright, I gotta try this. Years back I saw Aunt Jackie suggest leaving the concealer in place for a bit before blending. I have DARK circles. It creases on me but I'm also old as hell. I'll try it out. Thank you
For my very dry under eye girlies: in my night routine I put a little nivea cream under the eyes and letting it on like a mask. If you have reusable eyepads even better. They are moisturized but dont get those little dots you get with vaseline
Same with the fillers for me too, it made my “heart shaped” face look fat. I had filler for my lips 3 times, but my lips are already big for a Irish/Swedish person but I do love them with filler. 🥳
Alex, could you please do a video on when someone needs to use a color corrector vs just a concealer or both? I do not have dark circles under my eyes but I do have big bags, especially when I’m tired. I just use a concealer. Should I also use a color corrector? When does one need to use them? Thanks for another super helpful video!
Sahara from lashify told me Wayne Goss is the inspiration for the gossamer. I didn’t know that and I was watching a tutorial of him doing lashes. I was excited to hear it was lashify, I love them ❤
I’ve had the Envy pillow for years, and although I love it, I still manage to squish my face into it. 😂 I think the “cut-outs” of the Sleep & Glow may work better for me - hopefully!
Alex I appreciate all your videos and information that you share. Can you please do a video on how to cover a surgical scar in your face? Would really appreciate it🙏🙏
My dark circle looks like a shadow cast by a bit of the puffiness under my eyes. Haven’t been able to conceal as much as I want. Will take the time to try your technique. Thanks Alex. I bring this pillow everywhere I go. Willing to pay checked in luggage to have it! I have it at least 5 years now and still in a very decent shape. Strongly recommended!
Love ur video!!! Gorgeous❤ I would like to see if u can come up with a video that explain the exactly way of blending eye shadows (like use brushes with what kind of motion, how much pressure you pressed in the brush, and how many times it takes to swaps from light to dark or dark to light in what direction, etc)
I stopped using my pro conceal light ivory for color correcting. I have been trying a bunch others with no such luck. Nothing is working like the pro conceal! I’m going back to my good ole Alex recommendation for color correcting
I would LOVE if you could try some natural titanium dioxide free makeups (particularly MG Naturals, Omiana etc) as I have an allergy to TD and darkkkk circles!
Girl ! I might get that pillow, got tic tac toe lines only under left (left side sleeper and 58).. and sunken. No bags (unless eat salt night before). Olive skin peeps unite !
I did order the pillow can't wait to get it. Been looking for something like this because it's awful waking up with creases. Also you do get wrinkles around your eyes from your face getting squished. 😘Thank you!
Wow, amazing, i need to watch this video a few times to get the hang of it ,i also need to buy the powder and concealer, thank you so much ,you look beautiful xxxx
I’m going to try this! I love your tips I feel like no other makeup RUclipsrs have dark circles like me to cover and I can’t do what they do for covering them!
Omg I need to hear more about the fillers! I have very dark under eyes and I have been looking into it & thought it sounded like it might work I’ve tried so many things
Hi Alex, can you pls pls pls do a video on it cosmetic concealer + serum? Because I have bad fine lines, puffiness, dry n thin under eye and dark circle. If you do.. i really appriciate it coz I think you gave the most honest review❤
First youtuber I’ve ever seen that doesn’t bring the concealer up. Changed the game for me cuz I do the same as you do & smoke out my undereye with shadow anyway! Also saves me on product. Lol. Makes me feel like I can embrace my undereye darkness while still concealing the scariest parts of my undereye hollows haha Curious if you’d tried the kosas concealer! It has a thicker formula so I feel like it helps particularly well for my deep set dark circles
The darkness has faded soooo much throughout the years I’ve been watching you for a loong time and your darkness is barely there 😍 what did u do ? Is it the no sugar diet?
Please do a video with your current skin prep! I need specifics lol my undereyes are so dry and I’m great at makeup and use a ton of different skincare but it still never looks smooth and idk if it’s bc it’s too dry or I’m using too much/the wrong products underneath. Anyway loved this video thank you!!

Omg I tried the hack for less creasing and it looks sm better underneath my eyes
😂 I think the “cut-outs” of the Sleep & Glow may work better for me - hopefully!
a few seconds in and UGH YESS THIS IS ME, THIS IS WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
Alex I appreciate all your videos and information that you share. Can you please do a video on how to cover a surgical scar in your face? Would really appreciate it🙏🙏
Lots of fine lines under my eyes at 52 and really struggling with concealer. Going to give this a try.
This is so incredibly useful. THANK YOU!
You have taught me so many things Alex, I cant even tell you how much i appreciate you 🌺✌️
The best video 💖 thank u for remember us that skin texture is natural 💚
My dark circle looks like a shadow cast by a bit of the puffiness under my eyes. Haven’t been able to conceal as much as I want. Will take the time to try your technique. Thanks Alex.
I bring this pillow everywhere I go. Willing to pay checked in luggage to have it! I have it at least 5 years now and still in a very decent shape. Strongly recommended!
You COULD make like an updated light day to day base video huh I mean you COULD cuz like you're the absolute best in the world so plzzzz make one 😬
I also like the becca smash box eye corrector I sometimes just use this and during day tap it out without setting it
Love ur video!!! Gorgeous❤
I would like to see if u can come up with a video that explain the exactly way of blending eye shadows (like use brushes with what kind of motion, how much pressure you pressed in the brush, and how many times it takes to swaps from light to dark or dark to light in what direction, etc)
I stopped using my pro conceal light ivory for color correcting. I have been trying a bunch others with no such luck.
Nothing is working like the pro conceal!
I’m going back to my good ole Alex recommendation for color correcting
Thank you, I have learnt a handy new skill from this video!
Probably an odd compliment but your skin tone is so pretty
I would LOVE if you could try some natural titanium dioxide free makeups (particularly MG Naturals, Omiana etc) as I have an allergy to TD and darkkkk circles!
Girl ! I might get that pillow, got tic tac toe lines only under left (left side sleeper and 58).. and sunken. No bags (unless eat salt night before). Olive skin peeps unite !
I did order the pillow can't wait to get it. Been looking for something like this because it's awful waking up with creases. Also you do get wrinkles around your eyes from your face getting squished. 😘Thank you!
Hope you love it too! 🙌🏻❤️
I love Wayne Goss!
Thanks for sharing this. I hate how mine look under the eye when I conceal.
I have that pillow and I love it. So worth the money!
Excellent as always and love the detail … thank you. And would LOVE 💕 a tutorial on your makeup look. So natural and stunning ❤🎉❤
So glad to have found your video, under eye wrinkles and puffy eyes, tried everything xxx
Oh good! My fav RUclipsr helps my blue/ gray under eyes!
I would absolutely love to see a Sleep Routine video 🤩
That elf halo glow powder is the best product at the drugstore rn
Thanks for the tips. I would love to see how you do your eye shadow underneath your eye to look flawless.
i love the concealer/base videos. My under eyes has lots of wrinkles so your videos reminds me I'm not alone
Thanks! I ordered your pillow because I have allergies and have always had problems with waking all stuffed up because of face-plant in my pillow.
Starts at 7:00
Thank you so much 😮❤
First youtuber I’ve ever seen that doesn’t bring the concealer up. Changed the game for me cuz I do the same as you do & smoke out my undereye with shadow anyway! Also saves me on product. Lol. Makes me feel like I can embrace my undereye darkness while still concealing the scariest parts of my undereye hollows haha
Curious if you’d tried the kosas concealer! It has a thicker formula so I feel like it helps particularly well for my deep set dark circles
She's the model for their shade 1.5, if you look at the website. So it seems likely! lol
@@britpretty no way!!! Omg haha
Wow! Great technique! Thank you! This is the first time I've seen your videos...totally subscribing! ❤
You look awake and pretty and happy ❤
