    i'd have a weird trip. you see, this game is called HERO's hour, but you talked about army and magic, after playing with decay, i make a little build that ended up unexpected, by focusing on making the hero stronger i ended up with lord of the none dealing 400+ dmg in usual hits, he got 2k hp and he was just lvl 18, and about lvl 11 he already had 100 dmg, thats practically stronger than black dragon, and the hero revives on death, if you give him bodyguards not only he can revive on death with lover risks of losing but it allows you to hire and train a second hero, so focus on making the hero as an army unit stronger too, the results get insane

    Tips: use the skip combat setting in the options..it an automatic win even though you can't win if you battle it manually..also it reduce the loss of creature

      @@vincemincevince it will not let you win impossible but it will reduce the troops you lose by a ton like if you have a lot weaker troops.. as long that it is moderate or even challenging... You will most likely lose like 3 or 5 unit..

    Surprised you didn't mention the bodyguard skill. I had a tertiary hero with lots of summoning and that skill become my second real quick. Almost surpassed my starter, as well.
    Question, what are the white bars at the top during a battle? I think they have to do with moral and reinforcements but haven't been able to fully figure them out.

    Is there a Bug on Mercurials?
    I they split when dying AND I think they respawn with camp, which make almost impossible to eradicate.
    I had a huge army and I had trouble killing a "easy" army with those Mercurials when I could almost stomp anything else..
    Am I alone thinking that?

    Being too aggressive week 1 definitely feels like the main reason I lose games.

    • @Ic0nGaming
      @Ic0nGaming  2 года назад +1

      Well you should take everything you can in week 1. But doing so without killing yourself is the hard part. Always keep in mind that the first 2 tiers of units are usually very expendable and losses don't matter much. So trading a couple of low tier units very early for wood and ore mines is basically always worth it.
      Everything beyond and more depends on your risk taking and hero and luck and and and ...
      Good luck! =)

      in week 1 my starting hero gets lvl 3 and i already clean a set of t1 to t3 units in first 5 days

    Does infirmary's conflict with heros with healing property where they get back losses that way?
    Though there is the trap of going too hard on troop production buildings, You can wind up with too little gold, and your troop production grinds to a near halt

    • @Ic0nGaming
      @Ic0nGaming  2 года назад +1

      As far as I've seen it they work together. Like the healing triggers and the Infirmary too. Dunno in which order but I always had resurrected units and units in town when I played Order faction with a healing Hero.

      @@Ic0nGaming So your saying if you have enough hospital, and healing skill you could get more units?

    • @Ic0nGaming
      @Ic0nGaming  2 года назад +2

      @@catfoodbob1 No, not more, but it seemed like they worked together. Like first 20% of the whole fallen dudes get resurrected by healing and then the hospital's did their job with the remaining 80%. Gotta proofcheck those numbers though, cause right now I'm mostly guessing tbh.

    How do you know the borders of the map you were playing? My first scenario is a 3 island. And I was then stuck because I could only go by land and attack a fort to get to the next area. I was not sure if I was missing something or not. I was able to clear everything on my area and grow a large/strong army to defeat the fort. But it did take about 3 weeks. I felt kind of stuck though.

    Bodyguards is a ridiculously useful skill as it allows freshly hired heroes to run around and hold their own with completely free troops so long as the main hero, the one with the biggest army, has a good amount of units. It's... if anything, it's hugely cheesy because it heavily rewards stacking every single unit you have onto one character as the amount and power of the bodyguards depend entirely on his total army power.
    In short, it lets you pelt the enemy with powerful, 100% free armies. It's a bit ridiculous.

    • @Ic0nGaming
      @Ic0nGaming  2 года назад +2

      Yep, that's a very good summary! When I made this video I had no clue about how massively powerful it is but I learned to love it. Once you get used to it, you can adapt your entire conquering playstyle around that.
      It's a bit of a mixed bag though, cause you'll get only Tier 1 and Tier 2 units unless the Hero has a Mastery skill. Then you can of course get insanely high tiered free units which makes everything even more insane, but without mastery on the hero Bodyguards isn't that strong on it's own. Still massively useful though on mages, cause you get a free opportunity to empty your entire mana pool on the enemy.
      It might be a bit weird and I don't like the whole strat of piling every single unit on one hero cause it feels a bit "wrong" (sorry I don't know any better word for it) but it's also extremely fun to play at the same time, gotta admit :D

    • @sheepriderkiller1181
      @sheepriderkiller1181 2 года назад

      this skill is mostly letting you to give all your army to a weak lvl hero so he can become stronger and that units are safe meanwhile your main hero has a free buffed army and since your actuall army is in safety you can give the army to him on emergency

    in combat i try to rush whatever enemy does the most damage with at least 2 groups of units where one group is designated to tank and another to kill them or follow up. I find it also especially useful versus ranged units or with fast units to order the initial tank group away after a bit to change who the AI focuses to minimize loses

    Is there a way to easily distribute your army without the clunky split+click that the game currently has? Sometimes I want to input a very specific amount of a certain unit in the first wave

    • @michaelsalinas6100
      @michaelsalinas6100 2 года назад

      I agree, I had a large army and wanted to add specific amount of units of a certain kind. I was forced to right click and split units up. They can make this easier to perform.
