DIY Paver Patio

  • We're building a patio! Join my husband and I as we build a 130 sq. ft. patio in our backyard. This was a 5 day project with several trips to our local Home Depot. Details on the material and project below.
    Building Area: 130 sq ft.
    Material's Used:
    - Shovel
    - Tamper
    - Rubber Mallet
    - Brown String
    - 130 bags Step 1 Paver Base (Home Depot)
    - 20 bags Step 2 Leveling Sand (Home Depot)
    - 25 - 23"x23" concrete pavers
    - 2 40lb containers of Polymeric Sand
    - 15 bags of All purpose Gravel
    - Landscaping Fabric
    - 6 bags of Earthgro Black Mulch
    - 1pack INCX Solar Ground Lights 16 in a pack
    All items besides the Solar Ground Lights were purchased from Home Depot. The Solar Ground Lights were purchased from amazon.
    The project was completed by 2 people, myself and my husband we spent approximately 16-18 hours over a span of 5 days on this project.

    The rain run off should be going toward your yard instead of the house. Over time the water will work its way into your basement. Try to divert the water but It's coming along & its gonna look nice.

    Nicely done ❤!!! But what i would tweak is get the patio area put downpaving joint sand and mist with aome water. To fill in line gaps between each one.

      Thank you! I failed to add that part in the video after we added the polymeric sand we lightly dizzied it with water. But I must ask, is the polymeric sand and joint sand different? Thanks for the tips! 🫶🏼

      😂😂😂 you just have to know your strengths, Keenen is the muscles and the one that keeps me sane throughout the project. I genuinely enjoy putting things together though.

      😂😂😂 I won’t lie to you my car was a trooper. I looked up before hand how many pounds my car could haul 😂 I think I was pushing close to the limit.
