great work by the pilots, actually focusing on the edge of the left window I really got a feel of the sway and decent of the plane on approach. great video
Hearing your comments about the approach spacing & go/no-go for landing was insightful [pun intended!]. Thx for these videos!! I’m retired & live near what appears to be your Base of Ops. Small World ~ I learned to fly at SAV via Diamond Aviation in the late 1980’s.., imagine that.🇺🇸
Love the 300. FBO I worked at over the summer regularly handled the last 300 to come out of the Brazilian factory. Hope to fly one someday unless I go the airline route. At any rate, awesome video!
PropWashCowboy88 - Thank you for your kind comments. The Phenom 300 is a great aircraft to fly and I am glad I had the pleasure of it doing it for a couple of years. Good luck with your career going forward and wishing you tailwinds.
The amount of situational awareness the g3000 offers is just jaw-dropping. I hope glass cockpit systems become more affordable for ga, it would improve air safety drastically.
Aircraft Insights I still think you should have to learn the old school way first to make you a more competent pilot incase the Garmin goes DOWN DOWN DOWN
Francy BobbyBoy - Thank you for your kind comments. We try to fly as we train and I am fortunate to have a great group of very professional pilots to work with.
Incredible cockpit! With nearly a hundred hours flying the G1000, I'd love to get my hands on the G3000. The ability to display the approach plate and synthetic vision is sweet. Are those georeferenced approach plates? Awesome videos.
THAT WAS THE SMOOTHEST FRIGGIN LANDING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE...... ARE YOU KIDDING ME....... I KEPT WAITING FOR TOUCHDOWN UNTIL THE PLANE WAS AT 50 MPH ON THE RUNWAY....... HAD TO PLAY BACK 3 TIMES TO MAKE SURE I DIDNT MISS SOMETHING..... DAM PHENOM BOYS.....Im going to hire these guys when I hit the Powerball.... lol......
Incredible aircraft. Can’t believe these are single pilot certified, have you flown it single? Seems like a massive workload for only one in the office
Thomas - Thank you for your kind comments. We did fly it single pilot but only on ferry missions. Due to the hull value and liability level, our insurance provider was not comfortable writing us a policy that allowed us to fly it single pilot with passengers on board. Due to the level of automation designed into the platform, the aircraft was very manageable single pilot, so long as you were not in a high traffic environment or had a series of failures to deal with. Whenever we went to training that was all done single pilot, so we were familiar with it.
At 10:10 ATC cleared you for the ILS approach but you didn't push APR on the auto pilot panel. Was that because you knew you were going to be visual and do a visual landing (in other words, you knew you were going to abort the ILS approach)? Or at 11:08 you pressed APR, captured the GS and flew the ILS since you were back in the clouds?
Ralph - Thank you for watching and commenting. Earlier when we were directed to join the localizer I armed approach. With regards to technique, the correct thing was to use NAV mode to intercept the localizer and later arm the approach when cleared for the approach.
Thanks for the video! It seems there is a difference in height between the real runway and the one on your screen. The one on screen has already touched down while in reality your still flying?!
Great video. New to your channel. Love to hear the interaction between pilots, and with ATC. Thanks for sharing and no music ! :) BTW.... did the plane behind the Citation get turned out because the Citation was too slow on final, or some other reason ?
Dragon Fist - Thank you for watching and commenting. I did not see the ballon that you are referring to while flying the approach. Even if I had, more than likely would have continued the landing, as hitting a ballon on short final would not inflict any real damage to the aircraft.
I’m not a pilot so Obviously this will sound like a dumb question. While taxing I know steering is handled by a tiller in commercial aircraft (Boeing). In this video there were some turns made (on the ground) but I could visibly see all 4 hands not controlling the turn. What am I missing? Again, I’m obviously not a pilot.
Parker - Thank you for your question and for watching. In most smaller aircraft the steering is accomplished through the rudder pedals, and there is not a tiller like you might have on larger corporate aircraft and airliners.
If I'm not mistaken, this jet is certified for single pilot operation. Do you ever fly it solo, or is it insurance requirement? I understand , that often private owners can simply afford two men crew for added safety. Do you guys alternate takeoffs and landings, pic duties? Thank you and keep them coming. Maybe little cockpit tour, panels, startup sequence in future videos?
Chris - 1) This aircraft is single pilot certified. 2) Different insurance carriers will demand different things and requirements. In our case, we could ferry with no passengers single pilot, and then when flying with passengers we were required to have dual crew. That said, flying dual crew significantly enhances safety by reducing workload, especially in high traffic environments as well as when dealing with an emergency or abnormal. 3) In our case we switched off pilot duties. 4) Thank you for your kind comments on videos, I have more footage in the tank, and need to complete the editing and get them posted.
Tarmac - You are most welcome. 6'2" is not too tall for the 300, as a matter of fact, one of our copilots is that height. Just so you know the rudder pedals are adjustable.
out of interest, when you manually disengaged the autopilot, why did you get the nose up motion initially, I would have thought it would be all trimmed out for you?
Mr. Miller - Thank you for watching and the question. Sometimes the aircraft is slightly out of trim when the autopilot comes off and that is why it is always recommended to have your hand on the control yoke prior to disengaging the autopilot. As I understand it the autopilot servos will hold a certain amount of pressure prior to commending the pitch trim computer to add trim to the horizontal stabilizer. In addition, the aircraft can also be slightly out of trim due to configuration, airspeed, or atmospheric changes. Happy flying and keep watching.
boymedine - Thank you for your comment and watching the video. At KPDK there at two missed approach procedures. The alternative missed approach procedure requires a direct entry, the primary missed approach procedure requires a parallel entry which is the one we briefed. The reality is if you go missed at KPDK, Atlanta approach is going to give you alternative missed instructions with vectors.
Savagecub - Thank you for watching and your criticism. I agree that every touchdown should be on the centerline, on speed, and between the 500 and 1,000 foot mark.
For a minute I thought I was listening to Captain Frank Towns and his copilot AJ from flight of the Phoenix. AJ just needs to work a little on his Bill Cosby.
ACT Hobbie - Your are correct that technically I should have left the flaps down until clear of the runway. Thank you for pointing it out. As someone that has been flying for a while, you develop habits for cleaning up an aircraft to ensure that it is ready to go the for the next departure i.e., flaps, trim and other items that are essential for a safe flight. Happy flying and thank you for watching and commenting.
Gentle, can you fly older tech_ I might need an extra pilot to fly my beauty. Y'ALL DAMP? Isn't that what our Mommas said when we got in the car without a towel??? Clear to cross…. GO CLEMSON!!!
Scottie - Older tech is what we grew up on; however, I cannot agree with the Clemson comments being a Dawg fan. I am looking forward to the upcoming games and let's hope that our teams meet in ATL.

Falos - We agree. It looks like with the recent FAA change in regulations, more affordable glass cockpits are coming to smaller general aviation.
Aircraft Insights I still think you should have to learn the old school way first to make you a more competent pilot incase the Garmin goes DOWN DOWN DOWN
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I watched the touchdown again and again and barely felt it, very smooth.
Embraer the best...🇧🇷👍
Best planes
Best womens
Nicely done, that was kinda neat when taxiing in... 15:32, heads down, heads up, good crew work. Thanks so much for posting, appreciate it.

Love the crew comms. They’re really in sync with one another
That’s what I was thinking, the comms flowed so well
What a jet for the money and can be flown with a single pilot. Amazing!
Jeff - It is a great plane. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Love the Phenom......glad I found your vlogs!
William - Thank you for you kind comment.
Very Nice!! Great Pilots and a very cool and Hightech plane!! Phenom4ever❤️
Amazing to see the Phenom 300 operation, send more if you could! Regards
Lucas - Thank you for your kind comment. I am going to put up others in the near future.
Excellent! Great Pilots and love the Phenom!!!

That was a hell of a nice landing bro!!..
Thank you.
Great view! It seems a nice acft to fly. Interesting to see it touching down at 104Kt and it's a very stable landing! 🛬
Very nice teamwork guys. Good vid.
This one looks like a great little plane! Thanks for sharing
It is a great plane. It does a lot of things really well.
Now that's one pretty cockpit.
Chris - Garmin makes some outstanding stuff. The amount of information is really amazing.
cool panel! Nice seeing the plate right on there, no need for foreflight!
Very nice!! Great landing!

Just discovered your vlogs. I'm hooked. Keep em coming.
Thank you Cap'n Crunch - I will post some more in the near future.
I was a summer intern at Epps this past summer. Not quite sure if I remember 30MN In there but I’m sure they treated you well!
Ben - Thank you for your comment. Epps is an outstanding operation and we have always received great service whenever we have been there.

Just added type rating to my license. Amen!
PHENOMinal flight.

My solo was out of PDK on 21R (back in 1986 it was 20R) in Cessna 94186. 8-)

Very well sorted airplane

Could be an visual illusion but were the flaps fully retracted? The handle looked like it was in Flaps 1 setting.
The flaps are down for the landing and then retracted to the Flaps 1 setting following the landing.
@@AircraftInsights Interesting, so the flaps are not retracted all the way up on this airplane?
@@Blazingspitfire Yes, if being put to bed for the night. We were doing a quick turn and thus we set the flaps to takeoff for the next departure.
I saw that ballon right before touchdown and thought he was gonna go around.
Dragon Fist - Thank you for watching and commenting. I did not see the ballon that you are referring to while flying the approach. Even if I had, more than likely would have continued the landing, as hitting a ballon on short final would not inflict any real damage to the aircraft.
16:08-16:10 holy sh-smokes ahah nice save. landing wasn't too shabby either!

Is it company policy to have two pilots even on single pilot rated jets?

Landing in peachtree is that near newnan Georgia ?
Voodoo one - It is in northeast Atlanta. After Hartsfield, it is the second busiest airport in Georgia.
Why am I seeing the runway centerline to the left of the aircraft on landing ? Where should that centerline be ? You can do better.
Savagecub - Thank you for watching and your criticism. I agree that every touchdown should be on the centerline, on speed, and between the 500 and 1,000 foot mark.
