Voiceover in post is MUCH better than being chatty to the camera in the cockpit. I think S1K is a very, very bad example in that regard. Be better than him.
Is "Okay, here we go Y'all" AirShares standard passenger briefing company-wide or just Texas and the Southern States?? lol - made me snort my lunch beverage. Love how you two work together.
LOVE, LOVE, Love the explanations! I want to understand why you are doing what you do! You make it crystal clear; VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! It's a great education; and it's so enjoyable when you (we) understand the why's. GREAT vids!!!
Nice job with the chart overlays and takeoff explanation. That PTT on the glareshield is one of my favorite features of Embraer, wish more planes had them.
I really enjoy watching the two of you you fly together. You’re both on top of things and you stay well ahead of the airplane. Very professional and not a hint of problematic egos. You’re both great on the radio as well. It looks like you appreciate each other and if, for any reason you don’t, you I think you will when you start flying with someone else.
amazing video. i am ATC at FYWH and the airport operator safety guys are struggling with paper work for Low Vis Ops at the aerodrome. our Station standing instructions are also lacking in details.. this video will certainly help in finding our way in coming up with detailed paper work for LVOs
Another beautiful and well-constructed video from the explanation to how to determine the visibility as in relation to the given readings. Excellent work Jesse may you continue to be protected by God in the air and on the ground and your family as well. Keep it up.
New fan here. Great flight. Thanks for all the explanation of the minimums at Brownsville. You two work well together. Enjoyed the video, and look forward to the next one. Happy flying, and safe landings.
Your videos are excellent, very informative and motivational. You guys run a great cockpit and are a great example to people coming up! Thanks for putting these videos out there. 👍
Great to be back on another IFR flight to learn from on Communication of Takeoff Check list and going over and explaining to one another is the Best way to start with before taxi
Thanks for the video. Great takeoff explanation. KISM was one of my goto places during IFR training from KMLB to practice busy radio area. Good FBO too, helped me with a C172 issue. Keep the vids coming. I’m a big E55 fan.
Great video! I just added you to my subscriptions and am enjoying plowing through the back catalog. Particularly enjoyed the Santa Monica night arrival and the "fly quietly" departure. I fly out of KSMO and will be sorry not to see you guys in there anymore. Phenoms are among the few jet types still flying in after the runway shortening, plus smaller straight wing Citations. And so far Harrison Ford is keeping the faith, still operating his Citation Sovereign out of there, along with his Husky, Beaver and helo. Nice work on the editing and the video quality, and thanks for keeping in lots of details for us pilots.
Great video and more so, the explanation of the RVR with regards the Part 91K. I hope the mosquitos did not get you. Please keep the videos coming and more importantly, safe flying.
Love the content great professionalism. Different SOP than what I've seen before with no action confirm from first officer, eg no gear calls. Great video!
So nice to see Kissimmee featured...grew up about 15 mi south. Big Lake is much easier to say than Lake Tohopekaliga (TohPo to the natives). Your detailed explanations are very much appreciated, along with the supplemental graphics. Thanks again for another outstanding video.
Thanks Louis! My next video will be departing ISM and going up to JAX so keep an eye out for it. ISM was a busy airport. I wish we had more time to watch the warbirds.
Watching it now...thanks. I'm sure ISM (works well with the "K" ICAO designation...doesn't it?? I wonder if they changed it to work with ICAO designation...I don't remember what the airport code was when I lived there and I never had a chance to fly there after I left in the 80's) gets a TON of MickeyWorld GA / Bizjet traffic.
Very nice video as always. I loved the explanations you gave regarding takeoff minimums. What are the minimum requirements to become a pilot for your company?
I have to admit, seeing all this good stuff going on in US, CN etc (awesome pilots (P1D, S1K, etc) sometimes makes me think I should run away from Germany hahaha it's amazing to ride along and learn with your content. Btw, does anyone know a nice youtube pilot channel in Europe? I can't find anything on the same level! I think I suppose to get my Brazilian CPL converted soon and do similar stuff here ;) Congrats for all the efforts to upload all of this and...Fly Safe!
Wow what a diffrence IFR makes with a VFR flight ! And you were out of these clouds in no time . By the way how comme the PIC was on the right side and the co-pilot was on the left ? Was there a special reason ? Thx for ansering and keep up the good work !!! 🛩
JesseFlies Ok so if i’m not mistaken your time flying the aircraft could not be riten in your logbook , right ? Because this aicraft is considered one pilot can do everything or i’m rong ? Actualy i’m curius of the decision and why the PIC did not fly the plane ? Sorry to be so curious 😉🇨🇦👍🏼
Hey Jesse. Not sure if you'll see this but I was wondering what the best way to get into corporate aviation would be. I'm considering looking into ATP flight school once I have my PPL. Thanks!
After all that technical chat about lines on the runway and spacing between lights, none of which proved true, they held a finger to the wind and took off. But...who cares. Doesn't really matter. What would be smarter is to know that the runway is clear all the way. Just in case someone parked on it last night, or left a banana peel on it. Clearly no one had landed on it anytime soon. Where there any previous takeoffs? If this was the first under this weather maybe someone should have buzzed the runway in a golf cart.
Exactly Ted. The fog that morning extended north to Houston. MFE and HRL were also below minimums. Laredo was marginal VFR and the only takeoff alternate that worked.
Yes Rocky that is correct. This mode will make the flight director maintain a constant indicated airspeed or mach depending on the altitude. It is very similar to S1K's "IAS" mode on his TBM.
Len Laughridge Heheheee, NO I will not! I have heard other pilots calling it that and could not find “feltch mode” anywhere. Finally learned what the other pilot meant yesterday. I prefer proper terminology to prevent confusion.
I would LOVE to learn how to fly one of these Jets but there's only one HUGE ISSUE I would have with it. That would be all that talking and squacking from the Towers. That wouldn't work for me as I find it extremely boring and annoying as Hell. I would just shut off the headphones and Mike so I wouldn't have to listen to that.
So do you guys like the voiceover explanations of the regulations? Or should I stick to the usual stuff?
Voiceover in post is MUCH better than being chatty to the camera in the cockpit. I think S1K is a very, very bad example in that regard. Be better than him.
I like them
I like them also
Keep doing what you’re doing as long as it doesn’t cause you to step on relevant radio traffic or your cockpit communication.
Mix it up, but narration is certainly better than in camera as more overall context of the flight is possible. Keep them coming!!
“Here we go ya’ll!”
“Passengers are advised” 😄
I came back because this is one of my favourite videos
I enjoy the videos you put out. That takeoff was pretty intense. Thanks for sharing
Only seen two videos so far but to me this is Pro, efficient and no-nonsense flying that is at a standard that many can aspire to. Thank you !
Right on, DD!!!
I sure miss you here on RUclips but so grateful to still be in touch. Thank you for sharing all of these amazing videos with us.
The craftsmanship of this video is amazing.
Great video, thanks for all the explanations 👍🏼
Is "Okay, here we go Y'all" AirShares standard passenger briefing company-wide or just Texas and the Southern States?? lol - made me snort my lunch beverage. Love how you two work together.
Hope all is well with you. Change is hard...hope you are enjoying it. Merry Christmas from another Texas fan...

William Eudy I agree. They are certainly a great team!
Very efficient and highly professional pilots.
Voiceovers/info always welcome! Great job always.
The mosquito segment with Laurie is adorable. Adds something vital to her story. Nice work.
Excellent video with lots of information of value for us fellow aviators. Thanks so much.

Thanks so much for the kind words Richard!
I love that jet and especially that glass dash!!!
Your videos are excellent, very informative and motivational. You guys run a great cockpit and are a great example to people coming up! Thanks for putting these videos out there. 👍
Very enjoyable-again! You have a great job, thanks for sharing it with us. I liked the format - good mix of views and explanations.
Nice flight with great communication.

WOW Jesse another great video, thanks you so much.

Thanks for the Flight Capts .
Jesse, I don't see anyone else doing the explanations like you have so I'd ask you to keep it up! SID/STAR overlays are always appreciated as well.

Your videos are very good! Keep them coming please.
voice over explanations are fantastic
Loving your content. You’ve a new sub. Thanks for sharing
Thanks a lot for watching. I’m not flying the Phenom anymore and I can’t film at my current job so the channel content is basically dried up.
@@IllFlyIt No worries. All the best & thank you
Greatness...ty!
nice! popped out of that fog right quick! love the vid
very enjoyable and interesting.
Great video and more so, the explanation of the RVR with regards the Part 91K. I hope the mosquitos did not get you. Please keep the videos coming and more importantly, safe flying.
Thanks Paul! The mosquitos didn’t give us any problems the rest of flight haha 🤣
Great video! Enjoy the voice over and can tell a lot of work went into it. Keep them up! Might have to give up my XL for that panel 🤗🤗
Very nice sir! Another high quality video that keeps me watching.
Love the content great professionalism. Different SOP than what I've seen before with no action confirm from first officer, eg no gear calls. Great video!
Great video man. Is it a phenom300? I see you havent uploaded in a long time, are you still flying?

it is extraordinary, wish you goodluck and may God bless you and all others flying, thanks for sharing such a rare video. It's awesome.
Looking very nice....Happy Holidays to you and your family...
Thanks Marcus, happy holidays to you
@@IllFlyIt Thank you....Fly safe always....
fuh that was a good flight, ty for sharing
WOW, very nice video, thanks you so much!
Subscribed. Amazing channel.
Very nice video as always. I loved the explanations you gave regarding takeoff minimums. What are the minimum requirements to become a pilot for your company?
Well done outstanding
Once upon a time many years ago, I had to open the door and look at the runway surface to find the centerline so I could line up for take off...
Your eyesight for takeoff visability at 600 feet is better than the camera can see. :-)
ENergyJimP yeah the GoPro doesn’t show it very well. Gray fog over gray runway and white markings haha.
I knew someone would point that out 😉
Yeah, I was wondering how they made that 600' visibility call so easily....
Runway lights spacing. You can see the lights better than the stripes.
You can see at least 3 sets of lights on the video.
Great job! The more approach and ATC the better for this guy.
Thanks for the video. Bill
As has been said count the runway lights 200ft between each.
I'd feel pretty dang safe knowing you two were flying the plane!
I love flying my phenom. . .
-Mosquito smashing device stowed
-Electrical system completed
....
BTW, I love the CRM.
I can't wait to start my IFR training in real IMC conditions with my CFII
Looks like Lori survived the mosquitoes... Goood job 👍

Did the mosquitoes bite?
Sounds like the tower guy in Kiss was a southern gentleman: "Yes ma'am, anytime."
Is "Here we go y'all" some technical flight jargon for informing passengers we're ready for take off?
I miss your videos Jesse. I hope your new career is going well.
Thanks! I miss making them. The new gig is going well. Almost 400 hours in the 737, I’m DAL based, and reserve ain’t so bad. Couldn’t be happier.
Always interesting

Thanks Sylvain! Lori is actually the PIC on this flight. She’s one of our senior captains. Thanks for the question and for watching 🙂
Thanks!
Great video. Are you taking turns on takeoff and landings? kind of team work I guess.
Yes we usually alternate who flies. Thanks Michael!
Good stuff!!
Very very nice..
I wish the angle of the camera was better so we could see the 3 displays well.
I want to see you fly into RVS! I work at that airport and do all my flight training there. Give a shout out to Marshall Thomas! Lol. :)
How does she like the DC Pro-X in a jet? Have only used mine in single/twin prop.
i have always wondered what the scratch pad with all the info looks like did you make that yourself or is there software out there.
Range over which the two pilots can see the Runway Markings
Would you have been able to land in those takeoff conditions, they looked pretty much like minimums?
400-flaps up-yd-flc? i guess they don't do noise abatement in south texas :P
Haha not much down there to be bothered by noise that’s for sure.
classic pilot logic, whats the minimum for this 600ft, yeah that looks atleast 600ft
After all that technical chat about lines on the runway and spacing between lights, none of which proved true, they held a finger to the wind and took off. But...who cares. Doesn't really matter.

Where there any previous takeoffs? If this was the first under this weather maybe someone should have buzzed the runway in a golf cart.
What you see on camera vs. the naked eye is different. I have no doubt the pilots had visibility of 600 ft or more.
Jesse what is the range of the phenom with 6 passengers?
well if the temp and dewpoint are both 18,,, i aint flying lol
What happened to the vlogs? Nothin since one year...
Weren't those mosquitoes on your preflight checklist???
I must have killed a half dozen before starting the cameras. They were awful
Absolutely love the accent
1 mile ain’t bad. 200 feet vv, anit bad. Mist and fog have definitions and mist is correct call
Why Laredo for recovery rather than Brownsville or Corpus Christi? Is this due to weather considerations?
Exactly Ted. The fog that morning extended north to Houston. MFE and HRL were also below minimums. Laredo was marginal VFR and the only takeoff alternate that worked.
Did you fly into Milwaukee a little while ago?
I did but was a passenger on Southwest. It was in July for Oshkosh
1600m, yup looks about right 😂
Wow! The damned fog was so shallow? Can't believe it
Marine layers typically are. Pretty common along the coast,
Hey Jesse, thanks for the video. Question, Is Flight Level Change the same as climbing in Indicated Airspeed? I’m a student and still learning.
Yes Rocky that is correct. This mode will make the flight director maintain a constant indicated airspeed or mach depending on the altitude. It is very similar to S1K's "IAS" mode on his TBM.
FLC (pleeeease don't call it "felch") is an enhanced version of IAS mode. Climbs should be done in FLC, descents in VS.
Len Laughridge Heheheee, NO I will not! I have heard other pilots calling it that and could not find “feltch mode” anywhere. Finally learned what the other pilot meant yesterday. I prefer proper terminology to prevent confusion.
JesseFlies Thanks Jesse. I like watching your videos, its difficult finding internships so I use the videos as a ride along.
are yall from the valley?
New pilot
Is that a Phenom or CJ?
Phenom 300
Hey Jesse, I met 2 of your buddies at KRSN today. 2 cool guys! He called you to check on a video for me. HaHaHa!
Subbed!!!!!!!!
show comando !
So when did mosquitoes become part of the checklist? Just kidding. Safe flying you two.
RVR is normally expressed in feet or meters correct?
Bernard Anderson feet
Meters in Europe if your interested!
I would LOVE to learn how to fly one of these Jets but there's only one HUGE ISSUE I would have with it. That would be all that talking and squacking from the Towers.
