Really appreciate these lessons. I’m a recorder player, not a fiddler, but the combination of hearing the tunes played slowly phrase by phrase, coupled with the dots in the top corner, makes learning these tunes a pleasure. Plus, great selection of tunes.
Thanks for this excellent tutorial, This tune works in well with your lessons on grace notes and making jigs sound fiddley...recommend these three to all aspiring fiddle players....
Great lesson! I noticed your hand holding the bow up the stick, is that a folk thing? Also, being a guy, have to ask about gear! What strings, bow, rosin and violin are you playing?
Hi Liz! Your violin sounds very much like mine. My instrument was examinated by experts from England. These experts guessed my violin was manufactured in "Mittenwald" Germany. Do You know the history of your instrument? Friendfully, Ingvar Andersson, Sweden.

Hi Liz, that's a fabulous rendition of the Kesh, excellent variation particularly going onto the G string on the 2nd part. Well done.
Ronnie.
Not a fiddle player, just enjoy seeing good music passed down from one generation to the next.
Nice playing...tuneful and melodic
Elegant like;
A Butterfly.

My cat didn’t bolt from the room when I played it. That’s as close as she’s getting to liking it.
