This talk is a big yawn. Awais' main job appears to be justifying the existence of psychiatry. Basically, treating human distress with medication. Doesn't heal, but prolongs suffering. Maybe good for the short term, yet doesn't heal a broken heart or a broken spirit. Therefore, the reins need to be passed onto psychologists and therapists. Psychiatry was invented to remove undesirables from society. It is still that, but hides behind these diagnoses that can destroy one's life. Just a bunch of mumble-jumble disguised as real science or medicine.
Thanks for the comment Sam! I share some of your sympathy with regards to the harms of psychiatry and it’s history is definitely not great. I try to keep an open mind as psychiatry clearly has a role, but I think the important question is defining what that role is! 🙏

I used to have an open mind until I dug a little deeper into the corruption and verified my hunches.
