      I feel like the glowing silhouette of Arceus that greets us at the start of PLA could be considered a form as well, if not outright it’s true form. Interestingly, the only defined feature of the silhouette are its eyes, which leads me to believe it’s partially a callback to its beta sprite, which is also a light silhouette with glowing red eyes.

    dada zarude is wearing a cape with the number 251 on it which is supposed to be a reference to shiny celebi. dada zarude was made to promote the secrets of the jungle movie where the main zarude in the film raises a human boy and the cape is something zarude finds with the boy.

    Koraidon and Miraidon have five transformations: Low-Power Mode, Drive Mode, Aquatic Mode, Glide Mode, and Ultimate Mode. Some of these forms even have official plushies, and there’s code in the game for Pokédex entries for some of them as well!

    Adding to the Partner Pikachu and Eevee, they even have completely different stats, having +110 BST compared to the original ones. Meaning that they are essentially completely different Pokemon rather than forms as far as the game is concerned.
    Edit: The same is also the case with Eternal Floette. Additionally, Eternal Flower Floette can technically be considered if not might just _be_ a Paradox Pokemon. It's name, Eternal Flower fits the Past Paradox naming scheme, has higher BST than regular Floette's, has its own signature move like some Paradox Pokemon and is even a paradox itself, both in-game and outside. It's a paradox in-game because it was supposed to die because of the Ultimate Weapon but instead became immortal and really strong, essentially a living version of the weapon, and meta narratively it's a paradox because despite it existing in the games it was never avaible.
    Lastly, Dada Zarude is a tie in with the Pokemon movie featuring it, where it acts as a father to a human baby and eventually wears its blanket as a cape. Basically Pokemon version of Tarzan/Jungle Book.

    • @Turtle-Soup
      @Turtle-Soup  3 месяца назад +12

      Yeah the partner Pokémon are wild, figured something like the bst differences would slip my mind when listing off the changes. Also that eternal flower being a paradox theory is so good.

    if we're counting scrapped forms... celesteela has one in the data for pokemon home! nothing about it has *ever* been revealed other than it existed, due to a datamine. additionally, its not the games, but the delta species from the holon region in the tcg might count!

    This was a great follow-up video, greag job really checking every nook and cranny for this extra forms. Idk if they were all from comments or you went looking as enough people commented but very thorough jon indeed. I do have some (potentially) bad news as there are technically a few other special forms Dialga in the Mystery dungeon ds(?) game has a "special form" where he gets glowing red accents called Primal Dialga, and in New Pokemon Snap some of the pokemon (including but not limited to meganium, wishiwashi, and Volcorona,) have a special Illumina form. BUT those are both spin offs so idk if you really wanted to include them, or if they were even thought of. One that i didn't wanna mentiok last time as it technically isn't a new form is in B2W2 there are wold pokemon that you can catch buf instead of having the player name and player id they have N's id and name as they were caught by him and released. Again idk if they really count but thought I'd at least mention them. Also again these are from a spin off so idk if they count but the rumble/toy forms frok pokemon rumble series/pokemon ranch. Again all these are spin off forms so I am not expecting another video on this as these 2 are already very detailed but just wanted to mentione those pokemon. I did also wanna mention, but am not sure you would consider them significant enough. While you did mention the costumes from pkmn go, shadow pkmn in pokemon go/from the game cube games i think may be considered seperare forms, but as they are not as significant as like luigi idk if they count. Lastly from the maim series, shinies? They are a special case i get not including them, and alphas are technically a different form as they are much larger than normal pkmn in Legends Arceus, and in the wold have large glowing red eyes. Also, while i have not gotten to play it yet myself ik there is a form of ursaluna called "bloodmoon ursaluna" but since the dlc is so new and idk how long you've been working on this i think we can let it slide. (Also another technicality, partner pikachu from pkmn yellow as it can not evolve, but unlike lets go doesn't get a stat boost, but i think since you talked about let's go that's more than fine, as lets go is meant to be like pkmn yellow 2.0) And then there's the anime, but that's a whole other can of worms.
    I am sorry if that was too much, i just got inspired to research pkmn special forms from this video and wanted to be as thorough as i could be.

    • @Turtle-Soup
      @Turtle-Soup  3 месяца назад +1

      You bring up a lot of great points!
      Primal Dialga was one I thought of once it was too late.
      The illumina forms from new snap 100% fall into the category of me forgetting about them, bit embarrassing as I was a fan of new snap.
      N's Pokémon are an interesting case, as they aren't really forms and more similar to in game trades in my opinion, but they do have that special animation in B2W2, so it's not super clean cut.
      The Pokémon from stuff like rumble and quest are interesting cases, I'm not sure I would classify them as forms, but instead as something even more different.
      Shadow Pokémon could have made a spot, however I have something more planned for them so I held back on them for now, and opted just to mention Lugia just due to its level of difference from regular Lugia.
      For shinies, I don't know the official classification for them on this subject, but I personally don't see them as forms, but as something completely different altogether.
      Alpha's were a decision as, like shinies, I see them as something different than just like a form.
      Bloodmoon Ursaluna, very embarrassingly, was one of the Pokémon that made me want to do a follow up because it was one I absolutely could not believe I forgot about, and I proceeded to forget about it once again.
      Pikachu from Yellow is an interesting one, as while you can't evolve it in yellow, you can trade it to another game and evolve it, then trade it back. While it has the unique ability of following you and being quite interactable in yellow, I don't think its really any different from other pikachu in other versions, I could be wrong though.
      The anime indeed is another can of worms, like it is with many things.
      Thank you for such a detailed comment, I really appreciate ones like these.

      @@Turtle-Soup you are more then welcome man, I'm glad you were able to respond, ik you can probably get a lot and especially with how much I brought up I'd have understood if you didn't. You brought up a lot of good points for all the different ones I mentioned, and like you said for most, I agree most of what I mentioned probably isn't a new form or should be considered for this type of list but wanted to at least mention them. And hey if you ever run out of ideas, you can always steal my comment 🤭. But yeah I think for the most part the 2 you put out are solid and don't really need a follow up. Keep up the great work 👍

    If costumes can be considered as different forms of a Pokémon I think Pokemon Unite's holowear can also be regarded as such. Apparently, they also have different effects in-game depending on what they wear (according to Serebii since I don't play Unite) making them unique, I guess?

    • @nicocchi
      @nicocchi 3 месяца назад

      A lot of Pokémon in GO also have costumes (usually just a funny hat or a cute flower pin), however none can be transfered to mainline games. Whether they can evolve or not is a crapshoot too. The Charmander and Squirtle with party hats can evolve, and Charmeleon, Charizard, Wartortle and Blastoise keep the hat, but Bulbasaur with party hat can't evolve at all.
      Why.
      A more interesting alternate form from GO is the heart shaped Spinda. It's exactly what it says on the tin, but if you manage to get a shiny version of this one, the heart is broken.
      Don't know if that one can be transfered though, haven't tried, but transfering Spinda is kinda really fucky overall because gamefreak did a big oopsie in the way Spinda spots are handled and accidentally inverted them at some point and made them essentially incompatible

    • @Turtle-Soup
      @Turtle-Soup  3 месяца назад

      Unite always escapes my mind, as I’m not really a fan of Mobas, so I don’t actually know a whole lot about it. To my knowledge of how it works, I’d liken them more towards cosplay pikachu than the go costumes, due to having the ability to change them.

    Wishiwashi doesn't have an attainable totem-sized form because the one you battle in the boss fight is just a regular Wishiwashi, no size increase. Also their stat boost is not inherent to the totem-sized Pokémon themselves, it's just that they get an aura in the boss battles.
