I just hope if they continue to do remakes they don't do them as 1:1 remakes like Diamond and Pearl. At least allow some newer Pokemon in the remakes. That was always the coolest part of them to me.

The thing with Cosplay Pikachu is that if you use a hacking tool to transfer them to SuMo you get the Ash Hat Pikachu instead

Some additional info about the Eternal Flower Floette: It also has an otherwise unused Dex entry in Gen 7 that you can obtain by scanning a certain QR code. And there seems to be a placeholder for it in Home.
It's such a shame they never distributed AZ's Floette. I would have at least expected a half-hearted online giveaway for it, but they didn't even do that

I was moving my Pokémon to Pokémon home and was absolutely devastated that I can’t take my cosplay pikachu with me.
you didnt mention ultra necrozma, with z-moves gone there has not been a way at all to be able to obtain this form again since gen 7

Shedinja ans Ninjask from BDSP can't be transfered out either because Bdsp is a very well coded game and considers them as clones of each other
The nincada evo situation is a bizarre one, as it isn’t just a blanket all of them like with spinda. I don’t know the whole in and outs of it off hand, but looking back, probably would’ve been a good thing to look into and add in the bdsp segment
@@Turtle-Soup Yeah apparently Nincada can't be sent from or into bdsp either, probably to avoid a pokemon from a different game evolving and not being able to be sent back into it's home game, not counting new regional evolutions/forms
Nincada from outside BDSP cannot enter BDSP. Nincada from BDSP cannot enter SwSh. Those are the rules, Ninjask and Shedinja are totally fine.
BDSP actually has an exception for the Ninjask/Shedinja copies built-in and cannot tell if a Ninjask or Shedinja is an illegitimate clone at all.
I think that the actual reason that HOME has these rules is because game-specific data for other games that should be reset on the Shedinja just wouldn't be because the games can't set any data that specifically belongs to a seperate game.
Furfrou's trims are locked out of being transferred from Pokemon X and Y, since they revert when sent to HOME, meaning that as of now, Pokemon Go is the only way to obtain the trims in HOME (this has led to the GTS economy using the rarer trims as currency)
Yeah they are quite a pain to get. Really lucked out on some of mine. Was really hoping furfrou would be in the Gen 9 dlc so that I could have them all with my ot but maybe next time I guess!
It's really sad to think I'll have to leave my Miraidon behind. I've been transferring my partners since gen 3, and this will be the first time I leave behind such an important partner Pokémon.
My first one was the cosplay pikachu, as I’m a really big fan of the libre form so it became kinda the ace of my team. It never really gets easier to leave them behind.

Imagine centuries from now, your descendants will be playing a new generation of pokemon, and they will finally get to see Miraidon because it's finally time for it to exist.
Fun fact: You could dupe your ride pokemon while the Smeargle dupe was still a thing (aka SV 3.0.0), but if you did, it still has all the data that the original does. ALL of it. So it can't leave your party and it can't be released.
So hypothetically if you filled your entire party with them you could basically never change your party?

Go is so much worse than that. Some costumes are locked to specific events in specific locations with limited chances, making things like a shiny explorer hat Jolteon basically one thay doesn't even exist.
Other ones like the ribbon Lapras have a single chance per account to be shiny, so while they are renewable, let's be real.
technically someone made a way to trade from gen1/2 to gen 3. i have pokemon that i traded from cartridge to cartridge using some homebrew. it's legit enough for me.

A good chunk of them should be transferable, like the totems idk why they can't do what they did with the Alpha mon, would be nice if they change up some of the stats abit to making them more unique or viable especially those that don't evolve like Spike ear Pichu

I can't believe they let us transfer Ash Cap Pikachu all the way to Gen 9 while Cosplay Pikachu, the unique one with an actually cool gimmick is stuck rotting forever in ORAS...
Despite not being canon, the many color of magikarp in Magikarp Jump have sadly never returned. They could have given magikarp more lore and made it like scatterbug (useless, but collectable)
I totally forgot about those! Some of the patterns are really nice, would love to see them show up in some other places!
Something interesting about Az-folette is if you hack on into a gen 6 or 7 title it can go to Home. it doesn't have its art work but it can just hang out in there, can't be traded in home. plus it also has a shiny form.

Was crushed when I wasn't able to bring my Totem Marowak with me to HOME. I still had a non-Totem Marowak I was able to transfer but the Totem one was my buddy through that game! 😢
I feel like most of them could have been made transferable. Looks like it's either because of laziness or to make them more special, and by extend, the games where they are stuck special.
Spiky Pichu, the Costume Pikachus and the totems wouldn't have had required much coding and should have been made transferable.
Koraidon/Miraidon and the partners in Let's Go are understandable though
Laziness. Gamefreak have gotten extremely complacent in recent years and know that people will buy this crap regardless.
I mean, they really could have made Koraidon and Miraidon transferable. Maybe they could have even let you ride Koraidon if you were playing violet and vice versa
Yeah, I understand the decision behind the partners and the raidons, as they’re also parts of the story. Everything else is kinda unacceptable in my opinion. Spiky ear pichu, cosplay pikachu, the totems, all could and should easily be able to be deposited into home, looking at what is allowed to be boxed in there nowadays makes it sting even more, but they unfortunately were just all very ahead of the times.
If you don’t have time to do something but you still try to do it knowing you won’t finish it but you still did something, does that make you lazy?
I thought gamefreak were lazy before but now I don’t think that’s the case. They’re just trying to meet a deadline that’s sabotaging them. When ever I see someone calling gamefreak lazy I cringe a little. Yeah the games have gotten less quality overtime but it’s not laziness. They could be much worse if they were.
@@THGMR-ox7sd I don't like calling out GameFreak either. They have a murderous deadline. So I'm mostly blaming Nintendo and TPC for this. I don't want to see another Pokémon game released for at least 3 years since the release of Scarlet/Violet. Let them focus 100% on Gen 10. Make sure it's 100% polished. I don't want to see another fiasco. Nintendo should really start to let GF work in peace.

Would be nice to get some cosmetic changes to pokemon now foe like dlc like the Go costumes and LGPE starters since we don't have all the pokemon in the game anymore should give them more time to make the few that do pass more detail
I brought over 2000 Pokémon up to my switch. Almost 100 shinies and tons of event legendaries.
I have some from as far back as gen 5
My ash hat Pikachu is in Violet right now.
Certain moves are lost to time such as Wish Chansey since Home makes it so the Pokemon forgets the move.
Surf and Dizzy Punch Pichu are also stuck in their games. Ash Greninja lost its form in gen 9 probably bc Ash retired. Ultra Necrozma is stuck in USUM.
Spinda cannot be transferred from Go either, so once Bank shuts down, it won’t be available in any way.
If they make a legends game of sun and moon then they can bring back the catchable totems
I think Jynx deserves an honorary mention. She can still be found in alot of games if you are looking for her but due to her design having accidental racial undertones her inclusion in modern games is pretty rare and typically late or post game. leading alot of people to believe she has been removed completely and is only in the anime and manga.
You can bring Pokemon across from the original G1/G2 cartridges if you dump the saves and bring them over to the Virtual Console games! It's a bit fiddly, but possible 😅
I hacked an AZ Floette into my game just for a laugh and for some reason it did let me put it into Bank, I quit after Sun and Moon so I have no idea if it goes into Home, I'd guess not but I didn't keep that hacked save anyway, I just wanted to see if it would go into Bank.
Does Eternamax Eternatus count, as well as Giganatmax Forms in general?

I DESPISE this aspect of GameFreak. What they did to Cosplay Pikachu, Spiky Eared Pichu, and Ash-Greninja is DESPICABLE.
agree with the first two, but ash-greninja can eat it. shouldve never been obtainable to begin with imo. makes no sense to have a pokemon that transforms to resemble ash, because of its bond specifically with ash, to be obtainable by the player. shouldve been anime exclusive.

Technically a gigantamax duraludon cannot be transferred to scarlet and violet so if you put it in home and no longer have sword and shield its stuck in home
Yeah, the gigantamax able pre-evolutions follow this rule. However even being stuck in home its still able to be viewed and traded, allowing for it to continue its journey.
Actually, that pichu can evolve and be transferred over..... I thought when it evolved it would keep the spiky ear and I lost that pichu as a kid 😭

The entarnal floette model was even in Pokémon home
They never added Shadow Lugia into Pokemon GO because that would mean they would need to add the Shadow Type AND Shadow Moves into the game since Shadow Lugia is Shadow Type.
The thing with spinda is, wouldn't they be able to translate the code in home specifically just for spinda?
if spinda come from bdsp, reverse this value. I got mine in home through mobile gts, probably from pokemon go.
So if you want to complete living dex, just look at mobile gts, it helps completing like pansear simisear panpour, sage, spinda, roaming gholdengo, normal zigzagoon, normal darumaka.

I would love for a way just to be able to ensure their safety. It sucks knowing all these designs are destined to just be gone whenever Go eventually shuts down.
Shiny Type: Null and Shiny Poipole are only available in Gen 7 since the ones you receive in Gen 8 are locked

Doesn't it make sense that the ride Koraidon/Miraidon stays in the game, though? I mean, how else would you ride it if it got transfered? If you want to transfer one so badly, just do it to the other one.
Yes it makes sense that it can’t be transferred, as it’s an actual character in the story. It’s just saddening knowing that it’s a Pokémon you can train and battle with, that you create an extra strong bond with due to being such a prevalent part of the story, is forever locked to that specific save file. So as more and more games come out, the more and more it gets pushed away to be forgotten. The other one you catch fills the role of being transferable and all that, but just isn’t the one you bond with for an entire playthrough.

Don't forget XD's Purified Shadow Pokémon get exclusive moves. Yes, I KEPT those moves on the 4 I raised. I know this video was about the species, not moves, but, I want to keep Charm on Zokindle (Houndoom) & Heal Bell on Vykder (Mightyena), but, I want to use them too.
Yeah the exclusive moves were super cool. Shame that newer games don’t keep the legacy moves.
@@Turtle-Soup Well, some Pokémon got those moves *back* later. For Example, Seel has Helping Hand, which, under usual Circumstances, Seel cannot learn it through Level up or via TM & cannot be bred onto Seel. It was exclusive to XD's Seel with the National Ribbon UNTIL... Let's Go made it a TM you can teach Seel & Dewgong, meaning that a Dewgong with Helping Hand, Safeguard, Ice Beam & Surf is not unique to XD. While Charm Houndour & Heal Bell Poochyena are still unique to XD. I even considered Lyronis the Dewgong for Indigo Disc, but, Crobat was not available; so I used my Colosseum Team. At least I knew Flygon was in Part 2 from trailers that featured Flygon.
I get that XD was focused on giving you more support moves, but, everything has Refresh, Helping Hand, Heal Bell or Safeguard. Colosseum's Shadow Smeargle just gets completely wiped clean with Sketch. Just NO respect to legacy.
XD's Remake should use the original code so these Pokémon can be granted their moves back. Eagun could also recognize the ones the player raised...

@@GregTingus Who ever is in charge royally screwed the pooch cause we were told the pokebank was going to stay live. ... You dont even need it to be connected if it's just a place to put your pokemon. It's complete nonsense. Sure shutting down the store sucked but now they are just spitting in our faces. They didn't even commit to it. It's like hmm You should probably make sure your pokemon from the bank end up in a game by the deadline! Idk if we're going to remove it or not sorry to be so super vague. It's not like catching pokemon and growing attached to them as they grow is all that special... I just can't believe that this is going to become one of those disney situations. I didn't by the switch because it didn't look good, they kept putting stuff out that was ok but we're on a budget right now. I'm pretty glad to NOT have bought it thh. When the pokemon channels are largely giving the end of switch pokemon reviews negative scores, you know you messed up. The worst part about all this is I don't even like Palword. I hate territory sandbox sort of survival games. I'm glad that it's kicking pokemon where it hurts though cause with all that money they could have invested it into better products and we could keep the pokebank. This is why people love palworld there’s no paywalls locked characters behind a massive resale paywall extending past 200 bucks palworld cost 30 bucks for a very good bugfree game I can play on my computer and the dlc man Pokémon better come with something else because I won’t buy till I hear reviews

Because even at this point, you have to...freaking...PRAY that GameFreak makes [almost] ALL of the NON-LEGENDARY Pokemon FROM THE NATIONAL DEX-EVEN FROM THE SECOND-TO-LATEST SWORD AND SHIELD, AFTER ALL OF THE UPDATES AND DLC FOR SCARLET AND VIOLET-at least transferable to future games, as if they were not choking on all their Tauros bad enough with being incompetence at making a "AAA game" on Switch the more we keep going further.
The remakes will have to happen for access. Even then, considering BDSP and SV, the remakes will be ugly, porikore, and broken.

@jonniefast Palworld is fresh air. For many years request in pokemon games were ignored. We were laughed at and now that another moss capture game is out who needs Pokémon. Palworld only the beginning of the monster capture rebellion. I want game developers to create monster capture games to overthrow pokemon. Game freak will not hold us hostage. We the consumer gave them power and we could take it away.
I hope for a remake of Pokemon X and Y, and actually adding the contests Serena participated in when the anime was still going.
I really do wish contests stuck around. It was always a fun side thing that I would love to see expanded upon!
