Little side note on Bodyguard:
The wording for Bodyguard on German cards seems to indicate that they would protect locations as well.
If the devs have already confirmed that Bodyguard does not work for locations, then those German cards will need to be errata'd.
That’s interesting! On the English cards, it specifies “a character who challenges one of your characters must choose one with bodyguard if able”. So yes indeed, they may need to correct that text in German
@@InkbornHeroes The German text translates back to: "an opposing character who challenges, must choose a character with bodyguard if able".
Based on this wording you could not choose to challenge a location if a bodyguard is available as a target.
@@InkbornHeroes Come to think of it, the German wording is quite obviously wrong.
In a multi player game, it would even force players to challenge a bodyguard instead of other players' characters !!!

Thanks for the content! I think you have me as a first time TCG player already ahead of the curve for the next Into the Inklands release. Quick clarifying question: will characters at a location have to be banished before challenging the location? Or can a location be challenged, banished , and then the character that were there are no longer at that location?

You can challenge a location without challenging the characters there first. Once the location is banished, the characters simply leave the location.

Yes, as with the previous sets, new cards (including locations) can be played in any deck. And they’re very fun.

I might haven't understood the lore thing correctly, sorry.
It's: If a location has lore i gain it's lore at every turn start(so if it survives the opponent's turn)?
Not the creatures i've gain a + based on location's lore
You understood correctly 😊 Lore from locations is passive, and you gain it during the “set” phase at the start of your turn. Check out our latest Aladdin gameplay video and you can see how it works with Agrabah
Question again, and this doesn’t have to do with locations 😅 but if I attach an item to a character say something that gives them +2 attack and they challenge and get discarded after does the attached item get discarded along with them? Say Mulan’s medallions?
No worries 😜 And no, the item isn’t banished with the character. In fact, items aren’t “attached” to characters in that sense, they’re simply giving an effect. Items have to be banished independently.

How many number of location can you have in each deck like 2 location for 2 colors or are we able to have 4 each colors?
As far as we know, it’s the same limitations as with any other card. Since each ink colour currently has 3 locations, you could max them out and run 24 if you wanted!
So I am very new and when I say new I played a few hours ago for the first time do locations give lore at the end of each turn that quest adventures as well or it only once
Currently locations only give lore once per turn, during the SET phase. The first turn you play them they do not give lore, but every turn after that they do.

Can a character quest while in location?
Yes, absolutely. A character can do anything they can normally do while in a location. Quest, sing, challenge, etc
Wait im confused where does it say that characters with reckless must challenge a location?
Hey there! It says in the character card itself. The reckless keyword informs that “This character can’t quest and MUST challenge each turn if able”. It doesn’t specify “must challenge another character”. Which means that for as long as there’s a target on board (character, location etc), if there’s the possibility to challenge something, they must do it.

@@seankart4459 Gotcha! ^^ No, you can't choose between a character, or a location. But if no character is on board, but a location is, THEN you have to challenge the location for sure! ^^
So placing a Vanilla character on a Vanilla Location has no effect at all ?

Do character cards lose effects if they are on the location? Can opponents attack character cards that are in locations?
Hey there! Unless specified on the card itself, nothing changes in a character card. You still have its effects and you can still be attacked by the opponent (as long as you are exerted).
Some very specific locations, such as “Tiana’s palace” makes that characters can’t be challenged, while they are in there. However, this is an effect specific to that location.
I wonder why locations aren’t in the app. They have the inklands set minus locations 🤷🏾♂️
Hello! You have to manually update the app (via the app store), to be able to see the locations added to the list. Otherwise you will only see the other into the inklands card. :)

For sure! So the lore value shown on the card is how much lore the location gives you automatically, passively, for as long as it is on your board. Locations don’t give lore the first turn they’re played, it only starts during the next turn during the “SET” phase (every turn starts READY - SET - DRAW). And some locations don’t have lore at all.

There should only be one location card per deck....like a Companion card from Magic the Gathering....like its revealed at the beginning of the game

Have you had a chance to play with locations yet? I wasn’t sure at first, but I do find they add an interesting flavour to the game. If nothing else they create more potential lines of play, and force your opponent to make more decisions.
Lorcana can be a VERY fast-paced game. With the Location(s) it helps to slow down the game and give you more of a chance to draw that Enchanted Maleficent 😈 it's a VERY fun game. Especially when you get to play 75% of your deck. 🫡
