So support itself doesn’t stack (a character can’t be given support twice), but the strength a character with support gives does stack. Meaning, two support characters with a strength of 2, could together give +4 strength to a third character.

As long as both locations can survive long enough, it can be useful. And for Zootopia, I was saying the same thing today with friends. I was really hoping that this would be the set with loads of zootopia cards, but we got tricked. Hoping for the next one then. 😔

We have a LOT of fun playing these nowadays. It’s our new hobby/addiction/excuse to buy new packs. 😅 Regarding its length, it is very hit or miss. Sometimes it goes super fast and sometimes it takes longer. It comes down to the cards you get from it. ^^ Try it out! It’s awesome!

For me, PJ’s Mirror alone isn’t the problem. But if the hand limit is opposed, it makes it much easier to then discard the other 3 cards. Lucifer, You Have Forgotten Me, Ursula double singing Sudden Chill, etc. And while with Bucky you could “counter” it by drawing cards to protect against a turn of aggressive discard, you can no longer do that. Either way, I don’t believe personally that discard is a mechanic that is inherently healthy for the game, so I am disappointed to see more of it. Yes, definitely agreed about Maximus. It’s going to create some interesting lines of play. Lots of uninteractable lore gain coming with set 5 👀 And you’re right (as usual) about Cinderella. So that’s 1 less card to help counter Pete 😱

We were more referring to the Singer 6 ability, since that’s a new one for the is set (as Singer 7 and Singer 9 were last set).

for support it is Alice Growing gir indeed!!! don'T consider any other support than that blue one IMO for a badass win con!!!! With Ruby it must be amazing with the Sisus and Flynn rush. You can add Ariel blue with her item +lore and the support for Ariel with her item bonus makes her untouchable with her ward +all support atk

It’s really exciting seeing support maybe finally realising its potential. And super cool that Ruby Sapphire might have a new identity outside of item control builds 🤩

This might be the game designer in me, but ultimately I do believe fun should be the main goal of a game. Even at competitive levels, it should still be fun. And being “un-fun” was one of the reasons Ravensburger cited for the Bucky errata, which makes it wild they would double down on the discard mechanics 😅 And agreed, I’m also thinking Jafar is the big bad and can’t wait for his Illumineer’s Quest.

Honestly, anything BUT what it is at the moment, would already be a better design for this card. They should AT LEAST have added a cost/exert requirement here! 🥲

I with the card have had this amount of thought put into it, as you mentioned. Fingers crossed. The more we see these reveals, the more we can notice Jafar being on the middle of all of this. But I would definitely love a narrative where Jafar and Maleficent are planning this all together, while also dealing with their own differences. 😅

I would rather not have every good card be a legendary, since that would drive the price of competitive decks up.

Rarities are just an excuse to short print cards and create artifical scarcity. I'm extremely happy that Lorcana is putting plenty of powerful cards at each rarity for the sake of affordable competitive play.

@@Xoulrath_ the value is there in everything. To limit damage, less is better. Less people at LGS with the Legendaries. Period. No 4x Beast Tragic hero, it's the price of a deck for a playset.

I don’t personally read too much into the rarity. Some of them feel a bit arbitrary in Lorcana. But for sure this card is powerful, whatever rarity it got.

You could be right. I’m always happy to be wrong and see cards we maybe “under-rated” doing well in decks. Hopefully that’s true for Maid Marian too.

Yes, the Beast one-turn-kill had people hyped in set 3, but it was a little too tricky to pull off consistently (though when it went off, it went OFF). Glad to hear you’ve been having success with it, along with your alternate win condition of milling your opponent. Hopefully there’s more support for your deck with this set

Some character cards have abilities that are only activated once they are in location. So even if a location doesn’t have a passive lore benefit, or if that location itself has no ability, there’s still a reason depending on the character card itself! 😉

I guess taste is very subjective. I am a big fan of the new template for enchanted cards - and the art itself for this new set. We love how festive and colorful they look! ^^

I honestly also think that they will have to change the minimum required amount to run a set championship in store. Otherwise it won’t make sense with this new format. But I hope that they are conscious that some smaller LGS might not be able to accommodate many players. It would be a shame if they lose their rights to run these events because of that. I personally think that a more appropriate number would be a minimum of “12” players, given the new changes to the prizes.

@@InkbornHeroes 😂 More like Pokemon TCG Celebrations for example. Just a small stamp maybe next to the name. They could maybe make enchanted packs for the first place, where they get one random enchanted from all packs so far. Then you could keep it sealed and sell it or open it and maybe pull an Elsa.
