My name is David and with my dog Lefty we travel the country in our ambulance conversion RV. I made this change to my life and you can too! Like, subscribe and comment! Lefty would appreciate it - he wants the adventures to keep coming!
The Campulance is a 2002 Ford E450 Marque Commando 164 Class III ambulance powered by the Ford 7.3l Powerstroke turbo diesel engine and a 4 speed 4R100 transmission. Lefty is a 68lb American Staffordshire Terrier (best I can tell) that came from the Verona Street Animal Shelter (www.vsas.org/) in March 2014 at the age of 9 months. We have been living full time in the campulance since July 2019. #ambulancelife #vanlife #staffordshireterrier
Dalynn is the "camera crew" she did do a great job. This bike is great and I hope you can keep this. The engineers had their thinking caps on for this bike!! A true multi-tasker. Thanks Dave and Dalynn for sharing your experience with this. ❤❤
Your camera crew did a great job riding next to you and keeping you in the frame.
She did! I was happy with her work :)
Thanks David and Lefty, and Dalynn!❤
Thanks, David and Lefty 👍
Hey David! I really enjoyed watching this video! It was fun watching you ride the E bike and it was also fun knowing that Dalynn was your videographer! She did a wonderful job! And it was also fun watching you tinker with the bike and the inverter and the solar panels, and even being able to hook your saw up to the bike! Wow! That was so cool!! 😎 And you were laughing and had the biggest smile on your face, which was great to see. I think we could all tell that you were really enjoying yourself. It was terrific to see you smiling and laughing! It makes all of us feel so good watching you having such a fun time!😊👍
That set up is really nice for the solar and converter ,Good Job Dayiyn on the video !
She's a superstar!
That just might be the thing for me! My hubby detests motorcycles. I've always loved them. COMPROMISE 😊
Good stuff. There`s something for everybody out there.
You did that video so well I didn't even realize I was watching a commercial. Well done my friend well done. And I love the audio do professional riding in to do the demo of the bike
Thank you! I try to personalize the videos when I'm doing a review like this so it's not just an ad :)
@@TheCampulanceMan what did a great job David. Say hi to Lefty for me
Ok. Very cool package.
It is priced very reasonable! I like the size...I rode a Specialized downhill racing MTB for years and prefer a larger frame.
Lefty following the food!!! 😂
It's a sturdy built bike - I really like it :)
Very cool bike. Practical with all its gadgets! +1 for mentioning "The Winnebago Man." I watch a lot of nomadic, and RV content, and you are the first I have heard mention him. 🤪
I watched a documentary about him recently and I guess I had him on my mind!
I’ve had a RadRover 6+ for nearly 2 years… I have biked more on that bike in CLT than on any bike in my life.. The solar panel & inverter is next-level crazy.. I like your bike..
It's a great bike and really comfortable :) We had a lot of fun riding bikes over the summer. They're definitely fun to ride.
😊
Awesome video David! Nice e-bike, and great filming Daylynn! ❤️🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼🐶❤️
Glad you liked it!!
Ok I gotta admit that is a cool set up 😊👍
Right! That's new to me :)
@@TheCampulanceMan me too and I like to possibility’s
1000w that's grate nice
This bike is on sale at a substantial discount right now. And the price is less than I paid for my recumbent in 1998!!! Just FYI.
Nice bike
**Pause for bad words**
Made me laugh 😅
Unfortunately unable to ride bikes due to disk damage lower spine.
I was having a moment ... :/
God bless.
Ride ride ride thanks much 🎉😅😅😅
Hi Dave, nice e-bike, not a bad deal for all the extra goodies that come with it. The inverter is very interesting and not something I have seen before. Is this the bike you referred to when you mentioned leaving one at Dalynn's so you can ride with her? It looks like it has a lot of power when you accelerated in the beginning of the vid. I was going to say "stepped on the gas", but definitely the wrong choice of words. Just seems like this would be a better choice for transporting on the back of the rig, but there is something to be said about your love for motorcycles. E-bikes are something I've been looking into and this one moved way up on the list. Looking forward to seeing the next vid, stay safe and hope to see you and Lefty on the road soon.
It's a great bike - I'd recommend it for the speed and smoothness :)
So maybe you have commented on this in a previous episode but is it worth keeping a motorcycle or just swap with one of these? I started taking lessons but now I see no reason to fork $$$ for a motorcycle and pay the outrageous insurance when I can buy one of these e-bikes which are lighter and use my ambo rv rig to repower when I need it and it is considerably lighter than a motorcycle... Why bother getting a motorcycle?
I've been riding motorcycles since I was a kid and enjoy them much more than ebikes. Ebikes are fun, just a different kind of fun :)
The inverter is a Big deal but I question their 60-80 range. They didn't say it was miles or kilometers.
Yeah at this point after just about 5 months of riding....I'm lucky to get 25 miles. That's with speed limit at 12 voltage down at lowest and intensity at lowest. I'm losing faith quickly. Especially since I'm about 200 miles into a 1000 mile trip and this is how the batteries are acting.
Explain to me what solar equipment is needed? I just got a Mokwheel tor plus and it has the little input to plug in the inverter which I thought was only the on basalt.
You can add an inverter to gain power outputs using the bike battery. You can also add a solar panel to charge the bike.
I would need a 3 wheeled model, but I don't have a Dry place to keep it. I have heard that if they get wet, it will mess up the Electronics on them.
Check out Addmotor.com. That’s the brand Dalynn has, and they have 3 wheel models too that are really great quality.
I went to the site online the bike is listed for $2499 plus tax. What does that come with solar panels and 1000 watt converter
If you click the link in my video description it is priced at $1899
Cool bike Dave! I wonder if the bike can do well in the rain, and snow?
As long as you clean it up afterwards and keep the chain lubed it woukd be ok :)
Yes it does great in both. Just Def don't recommend road tires.
So it cost $ 2499.00 is that with solar panels and 1000watt + taxes
Can you rig up something where lefty can ride on the bike with you???
I wish! I've tried to get him on bikes and cycles... he won't do it :/
How long does inverter and solar panels need hooked up before they will use AC inverter? Nobody ever says. I camp and travel and have yet to get panels and inverter to charge bike battery. No video anywhere shows this.
From what I know, the connection to the bike is one way (out from bike). You need to plug the bikes charger into the power station to charge it and unplug the bike from the station.
@TheCampulanceMan I get that. Yet it still has never worked once. I even have 2 sets of each. Neither one has ever charged anything on AC. Not even 1%
Send me an email and we'llfigure it out :) @user-wc3mw2lp2w
Nice review! I have an Ariel Rider Grizzly. It's the moped style w dual battery dual motor dual suspension. I would recommend for People who ride on & off road. It's also a beast when it comes to climbing. That bike you reviewed does look interesting w the power station.
Doesn't compare lol. I'd take mokwheel all day

Be careful! NY has laws to register for road over class2
Hi David. I've been riding road bikes since the early eighties. From what I see in the video your seat height needs to be raised considerably. Your leg should only be slightly bent when at the furthest part of your pedal stroke. You look like youre only getting half an extension. Your knees are really bent at that point when they should look almost fully straight. Go by any bike shop next time you're out riding it and get properly fitted. You'll get more power out of each pedal stroke. Also have less fatigue and possible injury. And if they charge you for the fitting send me a copy of the receipt and I'll reimburse you. Gotta put a basket on that to hold lefty.
I know. I really just use the throttle more then I pedal - when I raises the seat it was hard to get on and off :)
@@TheCampulanceMan I'd still like to encourage you to stop at a bike shop and get properly fitted. You can lower the seat after for your comfort but at least then you'll know all the proper adjustments. Maybe mark the seat post for that position in case you ever do want to have it where it should be. If nothing else just go for the education reasons. Speak to a road bike specialist. They'll understand proper positioning and fitting. Riding the way you do can cause injuries. Just trying to help ya out my friend.
If I ever see a 400 pound moose on an E-bike, I won't take responsibility for my actions.
An 11 plus minute commercial 😒🙄
