E-Bike Question of the Day ⚡🚴 With the ability to recharge the bike on the go, what dream ride would you make a reality? Let us know in the comments below 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
Just ordered mine today and saw a bunch of negative reviews. Really hoping this isn’t a mistake. I’ve been wanting an e-bike for ages and this thing looks like it rocks. I’m so schematically of these YT reviews because I know they get free bikes.
Just got mine a few days ago. I also ordered the ST for my wife. They both came labeled as a class 3. I've been able to get them both to around 34 mph on PAS5. It's a breeze to hit the rated 28 mph.
Thanks for the review! This will be my gas saver for 2024. I live 2.3 miles away from work and half of it is a paved bike trail that's 12 feet wide. the rest is a regular sidewalk and I have to cross one busy street. Oh, and of course I will use this for fun also unrelated to work commuting :)
If you want the bike to go 20 mph set it in the speed limit. Same as 28 mph. But most people want to go in an unlock the bikes as soon as they get it set up. Mine goes 35 -36 mph throttle only. If I want 20 or 28 I just click the Speedo settings .
Hey guys. On that range test, did the battery indicator on the LCD display ever change? I just bought a brand new basalt. I use 20% battery. Went from 80% to 60%. Indicator shows 10 bars.
This is a little faster and has more battery, but the XPeak has great value for the dollar. Either are good depending on what you'll mainly be doing with it.
Error, minute 1:23, you're saying bike has Torque sensor, then say " That jerkie feeling that can sometimes happen with Torque sensors ". You meant that Cadence sensor
It's true for both. Some torque sensors are too sensitive to changes in a rider's pedaling torque and the motors are so powerful that it seems to add and subtract motor output before you can get one full pedal stroke in.
@@ElectricBikeReport Aaaaah ok ok I see, and well which would you recommend or prefer. Torque or Candence sensors. Most I have heard say Torque as it feels more natural when riding...
Either is good, just depends what you need. Torque sensors allow for a more natural feeling ride which cyclist love, but cadence sensors are great if you want more motor help and have the bike do a bit more of the work for you.
@ElectricBikeReport Cool cool yeah I don't necessarily want the bike doing all the work. I still want a workout, but for when wanted to take a small break as to not sweat dramatically when going somewhere you know.
Another Zebra look alike, probably also governed with a 22amp controller. Not terrible, but needs a little bit too much work out of the box to bring it up to par with its competitors.
They're both really solid, though I think one major reason to go with the Basalt is the option to add the power inverter and solar panels (even if you just want the option to do that down the road).
One would have to be insane to buy from this company, look at their reviews, check the BBB ratings and complaints. Call their support number and see what (doesn't) happens.
0 stars! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Cool RUclips unboxing videos but don’t be fooled. It is now well over the time my bike was supposed to ship and I have already been charged but can’t get through to customer service. Usually with a legit purchase, the transaction is pending until shipment. Not in this case. I was charged immediately. I have been calling daily and staying on hold for hours with no answer. I have left voicemails and also emailed. Nothing. I am now seeing other reviews stating that they have major problems with the bike (manufacture problems and shipping damage) but cannot get through to them. I believe this because I cannot get through. This is the worst purchase I’ve ever made. I would rather spend double the price I spent than deal with a crappy company that can’t even answer their phone or stand by the promises on their website. The positive reviews are fake.
EXTREME BUYER BEWARE: only get this bike or any bike from Mokwheel if you enjoy having an absolute NIGHTMARE of a time dealing with support. There are many other bikes better than this for the

It doesn't lack for motor, that's for sure.!

Awesome! Enjoy your new bike!
With the ability to recharge an ebike with solar panels makes this a prepper's ebike.

What’s your weight?
Nice review guys, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Nice quality review as always!
Much appreciated!

So glad to hear it :) If you end up purchasing an e-bike please click on our links in the vid description to support the channel!

Does it come with a charger and how long does a full charge take from low to no power?
My Tor Plus gets up to 33.5 mph on throttle alone. I'm 5'11, 175 lbs. I changed the settings and yes 33.5 mph with no problems.
On the Basalt, how do I tell what type of sensor it has?
All current generation Basalt models of torque sensors.
I would like to see a review of the Biktrix Juggernaut XD Duo and any ebike with the Pinion motor-gearbox combo.
How do you think it compares to the Lectric xpeak?
This is a little faster and has more battery, but the XPeak has great value for the dollar. Either are good depending on what you'll mainly be doing with it.
Solar panels? I don’t see that option on the website.
They are out of stock but offered.
Maiin iimprovement I'd like for this bike would be.internal hub gearing
Always fun to have an IGH option, but this has a hub motor so you'd have to get a mid drive on it too.

@ElectricBikeReport Aslo is it true for this specific bike, that you can also set it to where it's doing all the work if wanted to?
Another Zebra look alike, probably also governed with a 22amp controller. Not terrible, but needs a little bit too much work out of the box to bring it up to par with its competitors.
Most e-bikers are going to welcome the speed, so please don't change the way these ship Mokwheel.
This or the Himiway Zebra?
They're both really solid, though I think one major reason to go with the Basalt is the option to add the power inverter and solar panels (even if you just want the option to do that down the road).

Basically what I’m hearing here is that your testing protocol is a mess so your review is not much help. Ok.
