This whole album is just a brilliant masterpiece. Everything down to that damn album cover
He puts Morgan wallet to shame

My son bought me this album for my birthday. I love it . Been learning it word for word. This music makes you want to get up and dance!!
Lyrics Bus Route - Tyler Childers
This is where we dropped off the prettiest little girl
Same grade as me
Tried to kiss her once in the aisle of the bus
And she walked right over me
Face-down in the gum on the floor
I was hopin' that she'd change her mind
But I swear as she walked down the stairs
She didn't even wave goodbye
Didn't even wave goodbye
Ray Dixon didn't take no lip
He'd kick you right off the bus
Stop by your house on the way out of the holler
And tell your momma where you was
He didn't need no driver's aid
To keep a bunch of kids in line
All he needed was a glare in the mirror
And a paddle that he carved from pine
Blisterin' punk kids alive (Oh, blister 'em)
This is where we dropped off the prettiest little girl
Same grade as me
I held onto hope for eight long years
And by the time that I turned sixteen
I wasn't awkward, I's a real smooth talker
With my very own pickup truck
I'd take her home and if her parents weren't around
She'd bring me in and give me some
Bring me in and give me some
Safe to say nowadays ol' Ray
Can't keep a route very long
And I'm glad the little girl's dad
Never found out what was goin' on
I know he'd kill me in a minute
And he wouldn't have left no trace
Hogs'll eat 'bout anything you give 'em
And they don't let nothin' go to waste
Don't let nothin' go to waste
This is where we dropped off the prettiest little girl
Same grade as me
Hello I really do appreciate you for being a big fan thank you for your wonderful comments on my post it really means a lot to me.I sincerely hope you never stop listening to my music…..❤️❤️❤️
Can't get enough of this album. Love it! My 12 year old son is hoping for TC tickets for Christmas in Atlanta. He's ate up with his music.
I felt the same when first heard House on Fire, but after hearing whole album I love it. Artist grow and change.
Did ylu mean house fire
Fun fact, that song was originally called cinder and smoke! I watched this guy start playing to a room of 25 people! Blessed assurances that he is a true outlaw country artist!!
@@brandonroberts4485 that’s so cool!
Best country artist in the last 10 years easy
I agree and I'm gonna ahead and say it....the absolute baddest mother fuker to ever hit a lick in my lifetime! I'm 43 years in and nothing has ever affected me like Tyler's music does in so many ways. Beyond grateful for this movement and super excited to see what the future holds with Tyler n the boys leading the way!!
That album art is something else
Says a lot about the artist when they're album cover isn't just a photograph of them.
@@logansmith9437 Mr. Jimbo Valnetine did all of the album art!
@@gesmith98 It was Tony Moore that did this piece
@@logansmith9437 Oh hey! So it was! I thought Jimbo Valentine did all the work, seems he did the inside and Moore did the cover, great work by both fellas!

That guitar slide at 0:32 is Bad to the bone brother!! Such a dope singer ! Thanks to my pops for introducing me to this man! Can't stop bumping his tunes!

I wish it was more like the LR Baggs version but I'm impressed with the innovation! Keep er going TTC
This sounds great. Two fantastic versions.
That sounds been missing in todays music
1:56-2:10 is fire! The entire track is hot!
For all of you who do not like the studio version just think of it this way...so many musical artists are a disappointment live. Tyler Childers sounds great either way. I prefer the live version-love that wail at the end of a note only he can do.
Exactly right! This sound will only expand his fan base and his live shows will still make all his fans who "knew him when" happy.
Especially the line when he says my very own pickup truuuuck 😆.. reminds me of the Dixie chicks but the male version
He’s definitely one that sounds great either way. I think I actually prefer all his live versions
*Nashville has left the chat*
we don't need Nashville in chat . This is truly country music and thank God for him
More like Nashville has joined the chat... Have you listened to Tyler Childers before this album? This is not the same.
re4manonline i agree 10000% frfr idk about it
Your fucking right my man. Fuckem!
@@re4manonline albums should sound different
Awe blister!!
Another instant classic! Keep rockin Tyler!
Keep em coming!!!
Good stuff but I still dig just Tyler and his guitar's acoustic versions over the studio versions all day long!
Why? The fiddle makes it more country!
Gotta get paid sometimes. Having such talent and giving it away for 5 and 10 dollars a show must get frustrating after years of grinding it out of a van
Truth brother. He’s eating without selling out too. Gotta put food in your mouth though
Most of his songs I prefer his live performances. He’s the only artist I’ve ever said that about lol
Been waiting on this for a good while!!! So excited for this album. Love it so far!
HELL YES!! Loving the music man! Loving it!!
"I wasn't awkward, I was a real smooth talker, with my very own pick up truck" 😄
Amanda Valentine haha
Most relatable lines ive ever heard 😂
At that point he started getting some.
Favorite part
I was awkward I wasn’t a smooth talker didn’t have a pickup truck
I love the new album cover. All calm right before he hits his herb.
Keep tellin them stories Tyler!!!

Not gonna be a popular opinion but I gotta say it, I love Tyler’s music and the amount of soul he pours into his songs but so far this new studio album, I’m just not digging it too much. While I’ll agree it’s better than most music out today but it just doesn’t sound like Tyler’s normal style. I hope the radio stations and mainstream money men aren’t getting their hooks in him.
Oh they are, he sold out.
I love Tyler childers
Love the intro so far
Keeping outlaw alive.

Woohoo third listen this okie loves it!
Woke up this morning and my album is complete! It’s been on repeat since!
Stuart Duncan smoked this! When he plays nice and slow like this there's nothing like it. Oh yeah, TC killed it too.
i just found his music like 3 months ago and to me this is some good country music 👍
The original is a tune to dance to man
This lifts the whole mood in a bad trip
AHHHH IM SO PUMPED
Despite missing the raw energy he once had...this album is still amazing!!
I like his early version. This is some hippy dippy shite.
Dont ever change to much of your style its amazing. My favorite bands that were rock bon jovi def leppard and halen are all old now its only bon jovi thats keeping a bit of rock alive now days. You cant let folk rock die its you and your country side kick luke combes and slim dusty thats all thats worth listning to these days
Ur out of ur damn mind Chris ... luke combs is no where near him and he sure as hell ain’t his “country side kick” I mean really ... That must be the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard
I must of had a few to many beers when I wrote this lol
This entire album should have been recorded live at LR Briggs
I have to believe when ol Red was sitting there picking this one and writing the lyrics, at least one version of what they did rhymed with truck
Give you some of what?..
🤣🤣🤣🤣
in tears, i love this so much.
That's right bro Aka oak
Take me in and give me some.
Love this songggg. You and Senora May need to do some songs on an album (: I love you two singing together.

I had a teacher that had a paddle made of pine. All us behaved, and when we got in trouble it was for something good. Now every kid gets in trouble.
Awesome country sound love this dude the is blowing up cheers dude hail the south
Acoustic over studio all day long for me! Sorry but these versions just seem watered down and the voice sounds different also.
I agree
Same, this sounds like a studio exec got hold of him
nyarlathotep99
It’s honestly something I just would not listen to verses the more raw sound of his acoustic versions and the difference in his voice is unbelievable! If he’s going the direction of a mainstream, easy listening country sound he is making a huge mistake! People do not want that!
This song live and Charleston Girl at Whispering Beard 2016 were my favorite songs/version by him and the band. It just had something special. The way the instruments sounded and the twang in his voice was just a refreshing break from all the crap that’s out now. He’s definitely gifted and studied his craft.... but this album is putting me to sleep. I can’t see myself blasting this album like the others before it. He is playing in a club by me in NYC on Monday. I tried to get tickets but it’s sold out already. Still thinking of going anyway and seeing if I could buy ticket off someone. How weird would it be to see Tyler Childers at Webster Hall in NYC??!!! That was a big rave/night club back in the day when I was younger. Can’t picture him playing there. But if he sold out in NYC, then that says something bc no one really listens to this stuff around here. Its not a huge venue, but I thought it would be easy to get tickets, I was wrong.
Then go buy a ticket to his show. He's never going to make a living being raw in a bar in front of 100 people, that does not translate to album sells. I know he was rocking and raw AF at Forecastle a couple of weeks ago.
You're right, hog's eat anything you give them
Im picturing ray dixon looking like Chris farley in billy Madison
Nah I rode the bus with Tyler. Ray was a old timer that took zero shit. Good old fashioned man that believed in discipline. The man would drive curvy back roads and his eyes rarely left the big mirror. He was watching everyone at all times,
live version is light years beyond studio version
this song sticks in my head for a long time. blistering punk kids alive

He should fire his producer. The live versions of all these songs are SO much better than the recordings.
His producer is award winning Sturgill Simpson.... this album was perfectly produced. Live versions SHOULD BE different than studio versions. Gives you a reason to see them live.

I like the Original music much better. Sounds like it lost its soul.
...hard to catch lightning in a bottle...
You only like his live music, so only listen to him live. This is the studio version, the man can’t just have one of his drunk buddies hit record on an iPhone at one of his shows and have it turn out any good.
This was one of my favorite songs leading up to the album, and I can't put into words how much of a mess this version is.
I can. Its not. Its a studio version. Songs get stripped down live. And this is great regardless. It aint about fuckin coal mining but not all his songs gotta be about catching black lung and starvation. Its all a different sound but it works for him.
Wth is this? This album is something near a trainwreck.
It's not though.
Starting to think Sturgil undermining Tylers career with these overproduced tracks. Hope im wrong
Sturgill does the same thing with his own records. Maybe to a worse degree even
I don’t think he’s undermining shit. Just like @seansales fella said. Sturgill’s latest album was a waaaay different. Tyler Childers and Sturgill still have a much better sound/lyrics than any of these cocksuckin bastards in modern day “country radio”. They’re a rare breed of the few that keep outlaw country and definition country music alive. If they go off the beaten path with a little different sound that’s not pop country sooo be it.
I assume you know this dude, but check out some of the stuff Dave Cobb has produced.
Amen couldn’t agree more

With all due respect.. anything professionally recorded, takes away from when we heard it originally. It's way more restricted and reserved. Toned way down. Not a fan of anything on the new CD so far..
Would much rather watch live sessions of his songs
Listen to his live sessions then.
I like both, that saying I love his acoustic versions
The food stamps are a damn good band behind Tyler. Gotta be able to appreciate all the details in the music, it adds so much more
@@TMBfan Well what a delightful suggestion!
Buddy I believe you have something good BUT you are missing something with the instrumental 😕 Maybe fiddle 🎻 or maybe tuba or even trumpet 🎺 . It's missing the deep tone to compliment your style. Just saying but what do I know 😏🤔
Way to get the Baphomet and satanic symbolism on your cover art. I wonder what what happened
Sounds worse with a band.
Song is disgusting, glorifying children sneaking behind their parents backs to commit acts they know they shouldn't be doing.
You issues buddy
Wtf, it's a story, only your sick ass will be thinking that shit. Dumbass, let's talk about that Hank Jr song then called "The Knoxville CourtHouse Blues" then if you wanna bring this stupid shit up.
Tyler Childers? “Tyler Childish” I would say. This album sucks.
