I sat alone in my car hidden behind an abandoned house, I've been out of jail for 5 weeks and my addiction has taken 8 months of sobriety from me. I haven't eaten in 3 days and I'm out of water. I'm a father I'm a friend I'm a brother a son I am all theses things and none of these things. Last night 4:17 I hear this song for the first time. I listen maybe 40 times. My heart is broken. I'm done. As I type this at a red-light I've driven 2 hours to a city I've never been. I'm going to self admit into a long term rehab and know this is the last ride. This song brought me out of myself when I'd given up. Thank you for this.
This song has helped me in so many ways since my husband passed this year. Your lyrics give me the remembrances and puts into words the things we loved n lived together. Thank you for helping easing the loss of the other half of my soul.

I just shared this with my husband of 34 years. I have End Stage COPD and this is now our FOREVER SONG. because I will literally love my husband until my lungs do give out. I never thought I would ever find a song that says exactly that thank you
NAC may be able to reduce acute exacerbations of COPD through an antioxidant effect. However, NAC is a weaker antioxidant, and a high dosage of NAC (⩾1200 mg per day) is required for antioxidant activity in COPD patients to reduce the risk of exacerbations
I'm sad that you have end stage COPD. I also have the same thing. The moment I heard this song I told my girlfriend the same thing too. She has decided we don't have anything, so she. moved on. I make my day making my playlists here. I made content on tick tock until they deleted sounds at first. Then community violations for copyright infringement. Music is my soul. 🎶🎼🎵

Getting a lot of hate for nothing. Absolutely love it! This is a beautiful song and it great musicianship and shows just how talented he is. People throw out the sell out card too much. Now when he starts rapping on his country beats or singing about beaches is when I'll worry.
The beach dude didn't have zippy for original content to start with. Childers made it with his music not covers. There is a difference in how Childers came to be. Now both are over produced to make mainstream cookie cutter tunes.

There ain't two ways around it
There ain't no trying 'bout it

The muse I ain't refusing
The part of me that ain't around

Tyler Childers knows how to take you to another dimension and feel every word he sings music doesn’t get better than this
Love the live version, love this version. Tyler is a lyrical genius.
-it's like the inside of me, just leaped out, into the mind and words of this man's song! Her name, is Laura; The measure of the depth of my heart.
Tyler I was about to see you in Philly in 2020 right when the pandemic hit. I was so mad when the show got cancelled but I’ve been listening to your music every day for a few years. It got me thru the toughest times of Covid. I don’t know how I would have survived. I love your music. Although I’m a 71 ur old woman I can still relate to most of your songs. Tyler I need you to come back
This song is very poetic. Has a depth that is indescribable. Keep it up Tyler, you are one of my favorite artists.
I needed this album to come out last year.. Lol Been WAITING! I went to every PNW concert of his and CANNOT WAIT for October when you'll be back, always front row baby! Nothing beats the acoustic version though
OhLeahLRae Got my preorder! Can’t wait!

hey man i asked a girl out after singing this song to her now we basically listen to only this when we’re going anywhere in the car and your the person who taught me to sing through the mask of my face cheers to you man i’ll have to see you when you come to Oklahoma.
This is an ungodly song thanks tyler for helping to bring real music back
dig it. sounds like Tyler's been listening to The Band.
seismicdeathgrip I was looking for this comment. I love THE BAND and when I first heard this I was so happy. All that is missing is a Levon Helm drum solo
"Chocolate Subway" "Marshmallow Overcoat"!
Couldn’t agree more!!!
first time I heard this it immediately reminded me of ‘I Shall Be Released’ from The Last Waltz
Nothing over produced here, just an ever evolving musician. Its a great new era of Tyler Childers and this song is what pulled me back in since his previous stuff
I am a metalhead who grew up around country and more specifically western and outlaw country, as well as folk. I love this.
Fiancé and I just sat here for 35 minutes trying to remember this song in planning songs for our wedding. Love it!
In my younger days, i often celebrated life by arguing with a plant...lol. Great tune. Great choice. Best wishes to ya.....
You deserve all the success coming your way Tyler. This song is absolutely beautiful.
These guys sound like “The Band”. Greatness!!!!
The SEC picked this up on their network as promo music!
This song has become so nostalgic to me! Such a happy song, but sad because i’ll never relive the moment of this song.
I don't know how i ended up here...but it was meant to be...such a beautiful song and voice...
My daughter's getting married to an amazing man, and wants this as their first dance. I can't think of a better one for the two of them. I'm gonna ball my eyes off! 😅
my boyfriend showed me this song shortly after we started dating and i hope it will play at our wedding too
Happy birthday! Way to drop a song 😘😘
people interpret thing's in their own fashion ... we all take it our own way... take it for your own. it's Tyler's own for our interpretations as my edit continues my place felt prayer's answered.. my church amen Mr. Childers!
Cole...You are so special to me...thank u for sharing this song with me...Beautiful!! Love u, Tara
This song feels like everything i have ever felt about my wife❤
This is so sweet! it definitely made me smile just scrolling through the comments
I love how all the good country music coming out has this psychedelic vibes. This music will change the world for the better!
This song gives me chills. It’s amazing.
My best friends top 10 aye R.I.P Big Ben alwayz come to this song for you miss him so much
i could listen to this all day. The Video is pretty cool but very nice vocal vibes.
Getting a lot of hate for nothing. Absolutely love it! This is a beautiful song and it great musicianship and shows just how talented he is. People throw out the sell out card too much. Now when he starts rapping on his country beats or singing about beaches is when I'll worry.
@Andrew Cunningham Agreed! Like chill out, and let him work.
The beach dude didn't have zippy for original content to start with. Childers made it with his music not covers. There is a difference in how Childers came to be. Now both are over produced to make mainstream cookie cutter tunes.
There’s just something about that Appalachian music that hits different
I listened to it the first time and thought whatever it’s not the Tyler I know and love, then after a couple times listening to it I couldn’t stop, it’s a damn good song if you just keep giving it a chance
the way he treats that weed flower is the way i wish the world would treat all of nature. its beautiful and it serves a purpose
Absolute banger and the poetic beauty of this song is off the charts
Man what a voice
That's great. Thanks for your love and support, i hope you dont stop watching my videos. How long you been a fan of mine?
This makes me want to get drunk, go on a hike and argue with a flower. Reminds me of Deer Camp 2015.
That's a thistle
Argue with a flower... Epic..
LOL
Amen brother keep on keeping on
@@trentmerchant5937 that thistle is on top of mushroom mountain .
This is pure gold! I’ve watched this 5 times today. Completely obsessed.
Kentucky's prodigal son,Tyler never forget your blue grass roots my brother and remember Kentucky always forgives and welcomes us Kentuckians back with open arms,as a fellow Kentuckian much love my brother, and keep representing Kentucky in only a way you can GOD BLESS
I'm about to share this with the man I love. hope he likes it as much as I love him
"...'til my lungs give out..." When you're around that much coal, that's when life ends, when your lungs crap out... I dunno, that just gets me. What a writer.
I want to hear this acoustic with Tyler singing like he did follow you to virgie
Joey Jensen he played this @ the burrito bar in Fayetteville,WV for fish camp 2 years ago before anyone knew what it was. There’s a video look it up
It’s on RUclips somewhere. I’ve seen it. One of his amazing, beautiful live performances
Seeing young people that still make real music gives me hope 🙏❤️
I dearly 💘 all of your songs!! Pat Wooten
