I’ve been stamping for over 12 years and never thought of making the different sizes of card stock for a reference. I’m headed to my craft room right now to do that!! So simple, but so useful. Thanks for the tip!
I am so happy someone decided to make this series. It is very basic, which helps so much. Size of cards is the 1 thing that I struggle with most. Your "sample" system is such an obvious solution, but I never thought of it, which makes it genius ☺️. Thank you for this resource. I actually learned more than I thought I would.
Thank you so much. Making these guides pronto! Your so right the guides will give me freedom and also security in cutting the right size the first time. Maybe my scrap pile won't grow so fast..Lol. Love the series!
This was great. I have an index card with sizes hanging over my cutting area. I have a special wooden box for pre cut card bases, a shoe box with second and third sheets and two plastic folders with the inside cuts. Being prepared like this always helps the creative go so much smoother. Loved this. So many good tips! 🎉🙏💌
I am printing your tips from your website and starting a notebook for this series. Very exciting. Just thought of another idea. How to cut DSP when you need the design to go a certain way. Just like my driving I have no sense of direction. Difficult to visualize on the paper trimmer which way my paper will look after I cut. LOL Kathy
This is such a great reference to have on hand! I love the idea of being able to “try on” different sizes for ideas and perspective! I will be making a sample for me!! Thank you so much for sharing!!😀❤️
question for future videos…attaching vellum to card without adhesive being seen. I know to hide the glue dot or stampin seal behind but I saw this advertised as tape that won’t show: Plus Corporation Glue Tape TG-610BC-VE - Vellum Adhesive, Problem is it is difficult to find in stock. What else could I use ? Is there another adhesive just for vellum? (I did buy uktra thin dots by Glue Dots. ) thanks Kathy
My fav tip from this video was keeping the guide sizes ready to figure out quickly what suits your idea. From this, the next step would be that once a design has been decided ( mass production), just cut all the sizes and keep ready for quick assembly. Thank you so much Karen. Just chanced upon your channel.... Happy New Year and all the very best.
Great tips and great idea having the actual references cut out and marked of the sizes. I’ve been doing the layering today coincidentally and made a mess of the cutting a couple of times so this is a great guidance …thank you
I love the proportion card examples and would like to make a set to refer to. I can’t find the link for them on your website. Can you post it or tell me where I can download it? I am new to card making and kind of lost as to how to put things together to make a card. Your video was very helpful. Thank You!
Hello Karen - I'm a "nearly newbie" in that I've made about 20 or 30 cards, and I do like to watch video tutorials to learn new things. I found you mat and layering guide a great idea and have downloaded it, and will use it in future cards. The one thing I've not heard many card makers mention is the insert. Here in the UK, I and a few friends like to use inserts for the verses, and to sign on. Not many videos show how to do the inserts, whether pre-printed on the computer, or plain to stamp on - but one thing I can't work out is where to put an insert on shaped or awkward cards, like gatefold cards, or easel cards. Can you help? I've subscribed too...thank you so much for being so helpful.
I appreciate your comment - I need to remember to talk about where to put the writing on those kinds of cards. On many cards like easel cards, I add a white piece on the back and put the writing there.
You threw me off by coming live on Sunday night! Thank you for the suggestions.
Great tips, Karen..I think my biggest issue when I first started card making was I invariably cut the pattern paper the wrong direction

I love you for helping me get back to cardmaking. Time has always be tuff to edge out. Prepared I can do more
I'm so glad!
Thank you so much. Making these guides pronto! Your so right the guides will give me freedom and also security in cutting the right size the first time. Maybe my scrap pile won't grow so fast..Lol.
Love the series!
I’d like your thoughts on pros and cons of different adhesives. I prefer tape runners but the “green glue” is more economical.
Thank you Karen 😊 I'm going to be organizing my small craft space and this is a great idea!
So helpful! Thank you! Looking forward to more tips!

Wonderful!
I do A2 size cards when I use Call Me {Crafty} Al's sheetload of cards but do A7 when my MIL orders from me. Will check out your new series.
Thank you Karen.
Oh these are great tips, I am going to make a set .
I'm looking forward to this series.
I think 8 1/2” x 11” is known as Letter size in the US. Over here in the UK is it known as A4 😊
Thank you, Karen!
Super informative! Thank you. I struggle with this...keeping the focal point in mind is genius LOL tfs
Happy New Year!

Where do I find your different card layering sizes?
Great video. Where can I find the various sizes of your layers please?
its all here: karentitus.com/cutting-cardstock-for-your-cards-tips-tricks/
where can we get your templets for cards
TFS!
I'm looking for the link to the layering sizes.... can't seem to find it on the site. Is there a way you can link it?
You will find it here - look for the blue "download here" button - karentitus.com/cutting-cardstock-for-your-cards-tips-tricks/
Hi can you use card-stock from Michael's or Hobby Lobby instead of Stampin up cardstock?
Of course. I buy my white and black from Michaels. They have different thickness too (65 lb., 80 lb., 110 lb.) for depending of what you do with it.
The size is called an A2
sorry I found the layering on the website!
Thank you.
Where?
It's on the website. I looked there and found it.
