    I find all of your tips great, just commenting on the ones that were standing out to me:
    1) Definitely make your own card bases. Even though I'm in Germany, I do make a lot of US A2 cards.
    I found that Hammermill Color Copy Digital Cover, 100lb, 250 Sheets is the best value you can get with free shipping to Germany.
    It currently ends up at 16 cts/sheet, which is great for the letter format we don't get over here. And it is very good cardstock for blending, also.
    5) Using Press'n'seal for what it was meant for - sealing! That is definitely a "why didn't I ever ..." thing. I've had so many pots dying on my. No more!
    9) This wowed me so! My favorite.
    15) Or maybe this may be my fave. Such a game changer!
    Thanks for sharing these tip!

    Thank you very much for all the great tips. The use of baseball card holders I saw on a previous video was the greatest tip I have ever found. I stamp my sentiments and cut out some dies and put them in my binder by topic. Saved me HOURS and so much frustration! Sometimes I label them with the stamp set I used. So many stamp sets have sentiments, but I can't remember where they are when I need them. Now I just stamp some so I can go to my "baseball" sheets notebook and get them. I also use photo holders for larger dies or stamped images, Helped me so much!

    Definitely leaning toward using the BINDER to store extra pieces & parts, but I’d dearly love to find such a thing that would have the D-Ring mechanism on the SHORT SIDE. That way, I can shelve the binder with the sleeves hung from their tops, which, I feel, would keep them straighter than might be the case if only a few sleeves were in a standard binder. (“If wishes were horses … “ … We’d be up to our hinnies in ROAD APPLES!! 🤦🏼‍♀️ 🤷🏼‍♀️ )
    Marker-coloring of PEARLs, etc., Embellishments: Thankfully I took note of another Crafter’s use of this technique some years ago, because, as I said, I have very minimal stash space. Using this idea makes it easier to get closer to the color desired and with a small number of places to search as to where I put the lil things (🤔)!!
    As for the first suggestion of cutting up cardstock into ready-made bases: I opted not to do that, as it seems more advantageous to “my system” to keep everything as flat and contained as possible. Turning card into bases doubles (at a minimum) the space necessary to store them, and, if I decide I a l s o want top-fold cards, there’s another organizational division I have to deal with.
    Thanks ever so much for the “Food for Thought”!! The video segments that accompany your info are as inspirational as the narrative is informative.

    • @villagecardandcrafts
      @villagecardandcrafts  7 месяцев назад

      First of all I HAVE to keep your horses and wishes in my hat! Loved that!! In terms of creating your own card bases from yardstick, this was simply to show that making your own is much more cost effective and simple. It wasn't necessarily about having them made up before your crafting session, although I rather like having mine done ahead of time. I totally get the shortage of space. In terms of the binder, I don't have any issue with die cuts/ sentiments getting bent up. I would think that you would find it hard to find pocket inserts for a binder like that, as well. ROAD APPLES HAHAHAHA

    • @villagecardandcrafts
      @villagecardandcrafts  7 месяцев назад

      Envelopes are completely different story. You can get 65# recollections card on sale at Michaels from time to time for 3/$10. Then it's worth it. Many times I can get A2 envelopes on sale and they come out much cheaper. Generally you will only get one A2 envelope from a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11" card stock. For larger cards you need 12 x 12 yardstick. If it doesn't have to be mailed, then you can make it cheaper. But that's not my general experience.

Then, using my WeRmemoryMakers ENVELOPE “punch board” to make the envelopes of the same paper. It’s very smooth (“nice hand”) and, to my taste, the perfect shade of white! AND it matches what I’ve already got going with the card.
