Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a great way to cut cardstock so its ready for use. You are organization PLUS! Blessings and Hugs from Canada! Stay Safe! Oh, wait, did I thank you for this video (ha ha)
I had never seen this video and always wondered how u were so organized when u made cards. Thank u for the tips. Hopefully now I can get organized to make cards easily. Thank u so much for sharing this.
I love your organization! I've got the sizes written down now so when I become a "super card maker" like you I'll know just what to do! Great in-depth, easy to understand and I love your channel! Hope you're having a GREAT DAY!!! Thank you for all you do and share!
Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for! I’m totally new and really needed to know the basics. Your video was very thorough and extremely helpful!!!
Dena you are so much fun! I love to see your videos much fun! Thanks for the tip about cutting the different layers! I am going down to my craft room and get started😄👍
Hello and how are you this is the best idea lol I found for cutting my cards I watched it three times now when making my cards I don't waste paper and your tip on having cards cut to size is oh la la love it
I just listened to a video where she scored the card first and then cut it...thought that was a good idea. Thanks for the visuals to show your ideas on bordering!
Very nice way of organizing your diff sizes of cardstock. I was also in the process of doing that but you made it a lot easier for me to do it. I also keep the the trim sizes. The only thing I need now is a good cardstock cutter. I need to replace what I have right now. Need to invest on that but nothing expensive. Any suggestion? Are you using a cricut machine? Thank you.
You always share the best tips and techniques!! I have tried so many things and I am having the hardest time with my Stampin Trimmer. I really don't know what else to do, I have changed blades, cleaned the cutting track and entire trimmer but I still only get feathered edges on all my paper... I just don't get it...
They don't have this cutter any more...will the rotary cutter work on the new trimmer? If so, where do you purchase it. I love the way you cut your paper ahead of time. I am sure at the time, it took a lot of time -- but oh how easy to just pull a size out when you need it...thanks.
Hi Patty, the new trimmer is not a rotary trimmer--it is like this one but it actually cuts really well! The new trimmer is not at all inter-changable with the old.
I love that you have precut pieces to use. What is your big paper cutter? I'm going to read this blog post so I can write down all of the measurements for precut layers. Love the storage for the leftover pieces standing up.
Hi there, I just bought my first paper trimmer yesterday. I'm writing down the measurements for the card layers (A,B,C,D) you provided. If I'm understanding, do I use a "C" instead of "D" if I don't need for the back layer to not be as visible (not embossed, decorated, etc.)?* So A,B,C or A,B,D...right? Not A,B,C & D. (That daffodil part confused me just a bit). *Just going by these guidelines-I'm sure there's a million ways to cut paper & even more sizes, and can be done however you like, etc. Thank you! 🙂 I liked this & subscribed to your channel. This was very helpful to me. (Now, to try out the new paper trimmer!) 🙂
@@TheCreativityCave I have the rotary trimmer that I bought forever ago and never used it. Your tips made me pull it out and dust it off to play with. Now I am in love. Does SU still sell the replacement cartridges?
Hi Dena Rekow, I'm a new subscriber and love the different cards you make. My question to is I have cards that measure 4inx5.5in how could I make mats for that size card, if you could help I will be grateful. Thank You. from Jennifer Real.
Jennifer I would do 3 3/4 x 5 1/4, 3 1/2 x 5 for the "wider" mats, or for the skinny layers, I would use 3 5/8 x 5 1/8" and 3 3/8 x 4 7/8" Hope this helps! Happy Stampin Jennifer!!
Thanks for this video. This is essentially to card making. You had mentioned you have a process or your daily routine in a spreadsheet wanted to know if It is available. A day in the life of a card designer. Inbox me

So helpful. Where did u get the rotary attachment? I checked a few places on line but none sell it. It will be so much help on these old shoulders.
I love that you have precut pieces to use. What is your big paper cutter? I'm going to read this blog post so I can write down all of the measurements for precut layers. Love the storage for the leftover pieces standing up.
