"I'm responsible...I'M RESPONSIBLE? I'M the executive producer...this thing is mine now. I have to come up with 13 shows? I can't DO it! I CANNOT do it. This is INSANE! WHAT have I gotten myself into???" Yeah...definitely George.
If not for the unique way in which Jerry and Larry saw life and the subtleties in people's personalities, there's no way all the pieces would have fallen together so smoothly the way they did.
Larry David not WANTING the show to succeed so he can stop doing it and it turns out to be the #1 show in television….. that’s like the greatest joke that nobody wrote.
LMAO at that Charles guy at 6:17. "Yeah I've got nothing else to do!" Oh how I've been there! I wish one of my friends would call me up and hire me for a TV show!
Warren Littlefield has to be the unfunniest, soul-deadeningly corporate drone ever. And this guy was in charge of NBC's lineup. He's the Peter Principle with a little white goatee. Yecch!
I usually don't watch sitcoms until they hit syndication because of my work schedule. But I remember how everyone at this one restaurant in early '90s I worked at kept going on & on about Seinfeld. So I taped a couple early epiisodes to watch on my day off. I watched about 5 mins of it & I had to turn it off. WTF? Are we watching the same show? Same thing happened with THE OFFICE. It took the episode of when Jim & Pam were clicking their pens in Morse Code to talk about Dwight.
What episode is he talking about when he mentions the bit about not using real turkey in a sandwich? I thought I had seen every episode multiple times, but I don't remember that scene.
Seemingly Cherones never got it. Im sure a lot of visible performance errors showing on camera in the early episodes are his fault, he used to say "i don't care that's the take" and some laughing of the actors ended up appearing in the show... No wonder they ended changing the director
@hakola95 Watch in that inside look the part where Jason quotes Cherones "It's the last take, i don't care what the hell we get!". Pretty... not good. Best regards
@hakola95 I respecfully disagree, he wasn't that good of a director... the errors are there, you can see them for yourself. Look for the inside look of "The parking garage" and you'll see what i'm talking about. Plus, I think he never was "one of the guys", at least not like Ackerman was.
I agree completely. I basically don't watch any episode with a '90 or '91 date on it, don't find them very funny. To me the show started really getting traction in early '92. Then it just kept getting better and better.
Larry David = George = funniest most realistic character ever. This is for Larry fans. No Larry David at all, but this guy (Jerry Rio) can be funny. Check out his MAN ON THE STREET videos from NYC in the 90’s…where and when Seinfeld (the show) took place. Watch JERRY RIO interact with a parade of sarcastic characters on the city streets. Humorous observations and sociological exploration, join Jerry(RIO) for a tour of NYC landmarks that are now gone forever. play my Jerry Rio Playlist.
Not really. The early seasons were really hard to watch. I still cant watch them, especially the Chinese Restaurant & Parking Lot episodes. For me, when they stop making the show about "Nothing" and started doing the crazy absurd material, was when I became fan. EXP......Frank Costanza yelling at George Steinbrenner why he traded Jay Buhner, after being told his son may be dead. My all-time funniest segment from Seinfeld.

"What do you mean this happened to me and that's exactly how I reacted"-hahah
Larry David's 13 episode meltdown at 4:42 is incredible!
I love larry's constant negative perspectives
Hard to tell Larry from his real persona to his Curb one.
4:41
Hilarious LOL

Larry is hilarious being himself ! No wonder the show was a hit !
hahahaha i died @ larry @ 4:42 when he describes the 13 episodes haha
LMAO at that Charles guy at 6:17. "Yeah I've got nothing else to do!" Oh how I've been there! I wish one of my friends would call me up and hire me for a TV show!
Larry is from a far away planet...thanks Larry for the inconvenience doing of the show.
Those are some of the funniest episodes, for me, at least.
I love his reaction, 13 shows!!!
Haha, that's pretty weird, Chinese restaurant is one of my favorites and it's for the exact reasons that they said NBC hated it.
Every time I see the NBC executive Warren Littlefield 10:15, I think of Mr. Kincaid of the Partridge Family.
Larry and Peter Mehlman look like brothers. Look at that hair.
lol "Nothing happens! Am I missing any pages? Are they trying to save money?"
The show about nothing (the restaurant) is genius.
Warren Littlefield has to be the unfunniest, soul-deadeningly corporate drone ever. And this guy was in charge of NBC's lineup. He's the Peter Principle with a little white goatee. Yecch!
"Seinfeld four!"
That's Jerry's friend Joel Hornick who does that. It's the second episode ever.
Funniest guy on television.
omg! larry david is so George!!!
Jesus, Larry is genuinely hilarious!!! 04:41
The pilot? Yes, it was in one of the DVD sets (I believe it's the first episode of season 1 & 2 DVD set).
haha larry david just hired randoms to write scripts...genius!
Oh, sorry. Yes, this documentary is on the Volume 1: Seasons 1 & 2 DVD set.

larry david is so funyy.
thanks
00:46
yup, larry david cracks me up. he's soooo much like george!! so freaking neurotic i can't stop laughing.
The executives are so stupid...the Chinese episode could be one of the greatest episodes of the series
What episode is he talking about when he mentions the bit about not using real turkey in a sandwich? I thought I had seen every episode multiple times, but I don't remember that scene.
7:52 lol it sounds like the making of the show was probably even funnier than the show.
Holy shit, I'm just like Larry David.
Seemingly Cherones never got it. Im sure a lot of visible performance errors showing on camera in the early episodes are his fault, he used to say "i don't care that's the take" and some laughing of the actors ended up appearing in the show... No wonder they ended changing the director
Even in remembering, the network people are so stiff and clueless. It really seems like good tv happens only by accident.
Genghis Cohen's...only in New York. :)
where did this air? was it on one of the Seinfeld DVD's?
no not the pilot. This documentary
The show about nothing....pure genuis
@Fand421 then i suggest you give curb your enthusiasm a chance :D
3:40 He kinda insults Carson there doesnt he?
@joshualucas lol, no kidding. what's up with that! just a foolio.

MY GOD! Jason Alexander does a better Larry David (as George) than Larry himself!
