They nailed the state of comedy today and how beyond stupid and dull network 'comedy' is today. Glad I don't watch any of it. The few times I have tried watching a new show on a network, I lasted 5 minutes before my brain could not take the dumb.
Drea East Coast I almost felt like the only one! I dissed "The big bang theory" more then a few times and people always responded by saying "Well maybe you should try to watch it again, the jokes go over my head too". The jokes themselves are so overtly highbrow or in your face. There's nothing enjoyable for me with a show like the "Goldbergs" or with any other broadcast network show. Who needs that anyways with the amount of comedy content on the internet?
Frasier is my favorite show. The first time I watched it through, I noticed the characters laughing at the jokes along with the audience. it was refreshing.
Jeff Garlin is so cool! He is so humble. Love that guy. He's awesome on The Goldbergs as well. But the sons on the Goldbergs annoy the hell out of me! LOL
Best Comedy Series Ever!!! The fact that everything in the show is relatable in real life is crazy…it exposes things that people don’t speak about but deep down we know is funny even if you can only admit it to yourself.
Curb is genius-nothing is sacred! (a little like Ricky Gervais` The Office where all PC is broken down and done away with). It truly allows us to laugh at all issues and relish them. Love Larry David!
I absolutely loved News Radio! Stellar ensemble and gut splitting humor. Hartman❣️ so often steals the show, but everyone including Joe had plenty of great moments as well and made the whole cast come together in the best way. Rogan always seems to get away with playing himself.

1:40 THE WIRE THE WIRE THE WIRE!! it's always ledtnout, fuckin incredible show and I'm a huge Sopranos/GoT fan but The Wire is special
Litteraly the corniest show ever so trash
@@namor679 ur welcome
It's HBO, there are just wayyy too many high quality shows to mention, Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire, Succession, Westworld, Barry and a lot more.
@@user-cs1ep6jj2o None of the shows you mentioned comes close to what The Wire is. The Wire is in different category.
@@nevermindshort3 I agree. but all of them are still some of the greatest shows out there.
I’m 39. I’ve been watching curb since my mom forced me in 2003. The Benadryl Brownie - I was hooked forever.
I remember being a big fan of Seinfeld and hearing a lot about Larry David, but aside from being the voice of Steinbrenner whom we never get to see, he was this elusive, mythical overlord. Thanks to Curb, he's just as recognizable as Seinfeld now.
I love Jeff Garlin’s take on comedy.
As a older kid/teen I absolutely loved News Radio. I also loved Frasier, Mad About You, and Will and Grace.
Curb Your Enthusiasm is probably the best tv show ever and Larry David is just a comedy GOD, Jeff is an excellent compliment
I liked News Radio immensely. I was smart and hip and had style.
Not necessarily true. Silicon Valley is incredible for one.
Agreed totally.
The Good Place has a great cast and is very different for modern sitcoms.
Joe quietly said in the beginning middle America is tired and sick and it's true.
Frasier is my favorite show. The first time I watched it through, I noticed the characters laughing at the jokes along with the audience. it was refreshing.
Pretty pretty pretty good
I just realized last week that Jeff is the supermarket produce guy in Everybody Loves Raymond
I love Curb Your Enthusiasm.. I have seen all the seasons more than twice and never get tired of the stories. Good stuff!
Were they talking about Big Bang theory?
mac rondo yea and Charlie sheen rebooting two girls one cup
mac rondo that's the show I kept thinking of.
Girl in Apartment B.
I was thought it was New Girl but I guess it works on both lol.
the show he referenced is an awful sitcom by the name of "don't trust the b- in apartment 23"
Jeff Garlin is so cool! He is so humble. Love that guy. He's awesome on The Goldbergs as well. But the sons on the Goldbergs annoy the hell out of me! LOL
No kidding, especially that eyebrows kid. Ooph super cringey
Newsradio is really an overlooked gem, and easily one of the best comedies ever on TV.
Oz is one if my favorite shows HBO ever did! Great series!
Love Jeff, he's one of the funniest people on the planet. He's great on Curb and Arrested Development
I really like what Mr Garlan said about being grateful and not considering yourself lucky. I need to remember that one!
Damn Michael Cera got old.
Thraxton Stirling yeah that's what usually happens
grvonny I feel like you didn't understand the joke.
Mike Morris that it's obviously not Michael Cera? Nope got it.
Yeah! No.
Mike Morris woosh
"Larry David is a genius"...
You're damn right on that.
Best Comedy Series Ever!!! The fact that everything in the show is relatable in real life is crazy…it exposes things that people don’t speak about but deep down we know is funny even if you can only admit it to yourself.
Indeed!!👌🏾
Is this a version of Joey Diaz from another universe?
therobulus Joe Diaz without the 25 year coke problem
oh shit , nailed it
This is the slim version of Diaz
Jewy Diaz
totally
He’s a genius with Seinfeld alone, haven’t looked to into curb, I watch clips on RUclips though, they’re hilarious.
I love both but Curb is way better, maybe because it's HBO and they don't have too edit things, also Larry is playing himself, what could be better.
I’m drunk, I thought this was Joey Diaz at first glance
Lmao
Curb and Always Sunny are the two best shows on TV
100% agree...and south park
@@acerock421 If I could only watch 3 comedies on repeat for the rest of my life those 3 might be it
I loved News Radio (Phil Hartman was a Master!).
One of my top 10 easy!
I was a BIG News Radio show. The cast was so talented. Phil Hartman, Joe Rogan, Stephen Root, Andy Dick, Dave Foley were all funny as hell!
News radio was bad ass!
Thanks for your participation in that series Joe.
Some of my favorite scenes on Curb are when Larry and Jeff are walking down the street and one makes the other crack up
I am in the UK LOVED Curb Your Enthusiasm. One of the best ever.
Unfortunately it's just never really on TV here, sad.
I've gone through Curb 3x over!! One of my favorite comedies of all time.
Mike Golic on The Joe Rogan podcast?
atrain132 holy shit! Dead on! LOL
man I love Curb and Jeff is right, this season is bonkers fun hahah .. Joke about Jeff Garlin looking like Henry Weinstein is spot on hilarious
I agree. Larry David can take the most mundane topic, and turn it into comedy gold! He's brilliant! Love Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's the only show that makes me laugh out loud besides Seinfeld.
My two fav Larry bits 'I'm practising on a tick ... for dating'
'Trick or treat, bang bang'
Jeff Garlin: *speaking about the incredible series he works on*
Joe: here's a story about when I was on Newsradio 25 years ago
Yeah but why not.
so?
I did not know Joe was on it so I learned something
It was a funny show.
@@turdferguson2982 and Joe was the least likeable character 🍃
Man, started watching curb a few months back and love it… and wow has Jeff Garlin ever lost weight. That’s amazing for him to make that effort in the later years of his adult life… good for him.
I totally agree. Larry is a giant in my pantheon of comedy.
Jeff Garlin is brilliant and bang on with his assessment of comedy and sitcoms.
4:28 "The girl in Apartment B or the B in ", funniest line by Jeff Garlin. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
News Radio was so underrated....great show
Without Phil Hartman I wouldn't watch it any longer.
Definitely underrated. I stopped watching it after Phil Hartman died.
Jeff is soooo spot-on and a great actor. Larry is a genius for sure. Great actors know that drama is key for comedy to work. Just being silly and goofy does not make "comedy".
9:47 is the most cutest moment of joe i have ever seen, and the way jeff reacts is priceless, great humans and and awesome moment
News Radio is the Taxi of the nineties. The show’s legacy has grown because of the show quality and the talent. Ratings at the time don’t always mean a whole lot if you know the show is truly funny.
JB Townsend Taxi was legendary!
