It was on a backing track, though, (hate to take the magic out of it). Most times they run the track for performances like this because it's hard to sing and come down off a harness like that without being out of breath (the harnesses make it tough to breathe sometimes and trying to sing from your gut while it's restricting your airwaves can cause all sorts of performance problems.
The audience reaction just makes this. To see their faces light up in such delight is charming.

Mary Poppins is the best live and animated film ever made in my opinion and it remains a classic today, almost 60 years after it was made. And this is one of the best songs from the film, beautifully sung not only by Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke but by the lady in this video.

I was there 1 or two nights later and because this part of the concert takes place in the dark, you can hardly see the cables she was hanging from. It was amazing to see!

👍👍👍💗, the LEGENDARY Anthony Hopkins is there as well 💖💖💖💖 it must have been a super night 💖💖💖💖 btw, André and sir Anthony have a very strong relationship, Anthony was actually a musician before he started acting, and André talked about him multiple times in festivals, they even worked together recording "The Waltz Goes On".

Do it ASAP! I go there every year and it's a wonderful experience. A total joy and a gift for your eyes, your ears and your mood. I saw a lot of André Rieu concerts in different countries in Europe but Maastricht's summer concerts are something very very special. No matter if you understand Dutch or not: it's a real, fun, great party with lots of people from the whole world! Lovely! Exciting!

Awesome performance! She reminded me of a 1970's television show called The Flying Nun. I thought they did a great job of this having her fly around with her umbrella and as the other comments say I was really the audience reaction that made this special.

Wow, super impressive planning to make her glide effortlessly and safely, without obvious cables! And to unclip her so quickly once she landed. Also to be sure her microphone is picked up by the audio equipment without a glitch- no doubt Andre has a very good sound engineer. And imagine all the safety precautions, she was high enough that if she were to fall she would certainly be killed.
In all a very professional production!
