My mothers family came from Germany, so I grew up thinking we were mostly German.I didn't know my fathers family at all, as my parents divorced when I was a baby. In doing genealogy, I discovered my fathers side of the family came from Scotland, and include the Stewarts, and Robert de Bruce, whom the Scottish revere as saving their country, plus Walker's and Truly's. It's in my blood, how can I not feel the pull?

I love the lady's wearing beautiful colorful, long, off the shoulder and flowing gowns. Involving the audience as he does, whether ball room dancing with Andre playing on his violin and the audience up on their feet waving their arm and jumping up and down. Also his orchestra jumping up and down waving their arms in the air and enjoying along with the audience.
I am a Scotsman but I am allergic to the sound of the bagpipes ,every time I hear the drones hum and the chanter play my eyes start watering and will not stop until the Pipes stop.
Allergic? I remember a dinner in Edinburgh. When 2:16 a piper (if that’s the word) came in, full blast, the guy sitting next to me, from Thurso, crouched and said: the pipes, I hate the pipes 😂

I watched Andre and his orchestra at Wembley 23/12/17 a dream come true, and listening to this brought a tear to my eye not only they both beautiful pieces of music I play amazing grace to remind me of my mum who died two years ago at 67 year old , miss her loads x

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this again. I love that both the audience AND members of the orchestra have fun and I love watching the Oriental lady dancing at the end.

With a name like Alastair how could you not love this. The reaction of the audience is the most amazing thing to behold here. The combination of the bagpipes with the orchestra is amazing. This is how people should be entertained. Thank God for Europe and its sophistication in this day of crassness.
