MSG shows.. PRICELESS.. Happy Birthday Jerry.. R.I.P. Love and miss you brother.. Peace
What a set list!!!!! Loved MSG, so did the boys, great Sound, great times,my 1st shows without Brent,Never was the same again,(in my humble opinion) but I believe they still had until "92" when I think it started to go down hill fast! thanks for posting, these were the best times of my life!!!😜
I agree with u my fellow deadhead !🌹🌹🐇🐰❤️🔥☄️💥
The Dead played FOTM 253 times and not one time did Garcia get the words down God love em! I'm not one of those who's particularly concerned about lyrics. It's one of his many charms in my opinion. And considering the number of songs not only in the revolving setlists of the Dead but also the Garcia band and Garcia acoustic band, that's A LOT of songs to remember. Most artists have a 15 to 20 song prearranged set that they perform the same way night after night for the entire tour. You were great Garcia. Amazing musician and just as amazing personality. Charming, charisma like no one else, extremely smart, and most of all just a very humble and kind soul. Well done Jerry.
The last truly great run I personally got to see. Fall 89 through spring 91 is $$$
My 1st show! Thank you 🙏
Oh the Garden shows. . Always righteous. . Peace
Jerry is off the freaking chain this whole show!!!!! omg that Scarlet>Fire!!! and those solos passes in Fire!!!!! it's Jerry highlight reel material all day long......he was a wizard
Back against the wall. Not a good idea to count him out.
He was full on Shaquille O Neal. Just going inside early and often.
I was at this show! Thirty years old. Damn! and it was my last show with Jerry.
me too last show the crowd wasn't the same in the 90's
They sing a little. They play a little. I likes that!
yes the fact they could keep their place with the jams and comps and then come back in to the singing so perfectly a small change to a song each night had to be planned and that would be hard work in itself
my 18th birthday (show) party!
😎😎😎
I went to ALL of these shows at the Garden. Every night was a ball. Phil’s Bass was Particularly fun to listen to. Jerry was ripping as usual and the whole band’s sound was crisp and energetic…thanks for letting me relive these amazing nights 🙏❤️
Perfect way to come back ...”and you know it’s gonna get stranger..... “thanks for posting. Cheers
Great show. The SCARLET > FIRE is epic!

I’m 74 now + can’t believe the life I have led let me live but I’m grateful that I’m alive because I have a beautiful daughter who I love more then anything plus she’s all I got !
dan healy signing his outro with that intro
yeah, he couldn't resist screwing Bob over.
I knew Dan very well ! ❤️🐰🌹🐇❤️🔥💥☄️👽🪐🤩
Now we're talking. This show was exceptional. As good or better in fact than the very good but overly hyped shows from the 18th-20th.For instance 1:20:36. Throw it down one time, big man!
It's not because Bruce didn't officially join until the next night. Check mate.
I was there. Great Show!
Poor Vince...........................
i was there. great opening show for their garden stand. killer sugar mag.
Thank You!
Dude !!
Vinces vibe. was mellower, Bruce, the acoustic piano sounded great ,the acoustic key boards always added, Vince knew, when to pause, to play . I loved the shows now to 95 .
Bruce didn't join the band until the following night, 9/15.
my first show...followed by hundred more like quick :)
I was there!!
This concert is very dark to c anyone !
Poor Vince? I liked what Vince was doing early on. Having Bruce come in didn't do anything to help him, just probably made it more confusing and difficult to get comfortable. The big problem for Vince were the keyboard sounds. It got better at times throughout his stint.
the real problem is trying to mix the midi sounds the high and low end are on two different planets while connected to the same instrument
I think by fire on the mountain, Jerry had enough midi. If mercy’s in business I wish it for Vince.🤫
I love Jerry still so much , I can’t seem to get over him ! What I’m I to do ?
this was a show where tour names were earned...all in how you see it or saw it on the ups and downs
My last Dead show.
1:39:37 "all the pantsy faints as fair" ♥️
Say that 3 times fast! 😆
How about that Truckin>Terrapin?.... so lovely
Towards the end of Terrapin we were thinking "are they skipping Drums>Space tonight?"...not sure why we were thinking that but i do recall that's where our heads were.
they should have took a break after brent died...2months earlier .
hiraldo mcgoo they would have benefited from a longer break before the Europe tour for sure.
@@sprobeck but how would they feed their massive egos, music drug women culture addictions, families, crew, homes, boats, planes, cars, cigarettes, booze, rex, charity obligations, supporting brents family.. you hire a guy LIKE VINCE as a full member because you want dedication and jerry was playing with bruce in side projects jerry garcia band grisman HE WAS NOT STOPPING AND NEVER DID AND NEVER WOULD HAAAAAAAAAAA
From 1966 to 1978, the Grateful Dad were just practicing for their time with Brent Mydland. The tapestry of sound that he andJerry weaved was beyond compare. No one in the band, especially Jerry... their hearts were not in it. From the first sour note of the beginning of "Feel Like a Stranger" here... uh uh, simply no way I can listen to anything after Brent. When you think of all the amazing Hammond B3/Keyboard players from that period, and they pick these guys? I think this configuration of the band was a complete disservice to the fans and Brent both. Don't fool yourself, this show is a waste of 2 hours that you won't ever get back. Go to Hershey Park '85... The music never stops.
