185 shows from 80-95. This is # 2 on my list of . The train whistle out of space>Casey Jones rock my world. Every song is on point. The second set is a keeper. 92 gets no respect. One of my favorite years. Old Jerry looks and sounds good to me. Love this show 😎
Experienced a “Casey Jones” moment right before this show and “ended up” backstage 😊 was greeted by Bruce in a lucid moment who was nice enough to offer me access to the buffet lunch and a seat on a road case behind him to watch the show…a security guard told me to get lost during the encore so I waited at the bottom of the ramp where I got to personally thank the band as they exited to their van…I will never forget this show…thanks Bruce 😊
For the past few days I've had the song Cornia in my head, not far into my search for a good live version, I found this post... THIS WAS MY FIRST GRATEFUL DEAD SHOW
They all are , but this was a special day on this planet because of....the Casey Jones that came round the bend out of that Space! My older brother would mesmerize me over the years with the tale off that horn/whistle. I officially got onboard the following year at RFK. Wowzers! 😅🤓🥸😎
SHOW NOTES: -Opening act was the Steve Miller Band. -Bruce Hornsby on accordion/vocals for the whole show. -Steve Miller plays guitar on 'One More Saturday Night', 'Baba O'Riley' and 'Tomorrow Never Knows'.
Oh Heck Yeahhz Voo...that Crazy Fingers right into Playin' - Best Ever! Also Voo, I might be totally off - but that might be a Shenandoah out of Space/into Casey Jones? lol

This was such a great show. I remember hearing that train whistle and the crowd going crazy. Great video but it doesn't do the show justice. I remember Jerry being well defined and he had a white glow around him, the other musicians and also the equipment on stage were like a melting organic mass of flesh and wires that pulsated in time with the music. Watching it now it seems like a completely different show! 🤔 Thank you so much for the upload!😎
IWT. If I recall correctly they may have sound checked the Casey Jones. Yes Steve Miller opened up. We were all laughing hysterically singing the “hoo-hoo” part of Take the Money and Run.
" I had a job trading bits for pieces we make wrinkles and advertise them as creases please find my resignation enclosed.... !" I 💘 loved this entire show and thank you so much for posting it I taped it from the pit taper section plugged into Dan Haley's board but not the video and it is superb my friend thank you have a good weekend happy Fourth of July!" ❄️🌎❄️❣️🤣👌❣️😈❣️
My 22nd B/day show , me and Raul jumped the fence where they were taking up tickets, dude had a counterfeit ticket and was arguing with the lady as she had her back to us. When I hit the fence, the L hit me, and I felt 10 hands helping me over 🥰. I was standing In front of the taper section during 1st set, dude from Cali was puffing me out ... 2nd set I went up top to get a light show , and man it was awesome
Can def tell that Jerry has been using. Put on weight and really looks out of it, his expression does not change the entire show. Just a constant frown.
I wonder if anyone in the organization ever told Vince to stop singing? I’m a pretty laid-back person but damn I hate that shit and I hated it then! Ack! Rant over. :)
Know what’s crazy to me? Vince was hired for his singing!!! Apparently he was the best at harmonizing with them🤷🏻♂️. I have my own pet theory as to why Vince got hired, but that’s for another day.
Jerry with the Air Max 90's and those dope seamed jeans. He's an underrated style icon. I think he had me fooled till just now.

I saw most of the west coast shows and this one on this tour. They (or at least Mickey Hart) were teasing Casey Jones for weeks if not months.

The acid was strong… the weed was week at these times…. 😆
Well I was popping caps, so 🤪
To bad the weed wasn’t a month cause you’d probably get more than if it’s a week.

Let Phil sing !
Jerry’s play as Bruce sounds to be to be a American old classic ballad . Any one know what it is ?
A Shanedohah Lullaby. You can find it on Not Just For Kids Garcia/Grisman album.
I just couldn't deal with Vince and Bruce... Drove me out of my mind. Its just so terrible. Such a departure from Brent.

The gun held against your head forcing you to go to these shows must have been scary!!
What in the what is going on here??? Even Corrina is hot????

I’m pretty sure Bruce was tripping balls
Already kill show, then out comes the space cowboy!
Jerry has nice shoes too. Air Max 90s I think. Zooms in at 36:26
I love shows from this era. But why are so many first sets closed out with Promised Land? Whatever happened to Deal?

sweet...but amazing how much better jerry looked a few months later. wish he could've maintained that brief attempt at a healthy lifestyle.

to me ..not looking like their most healthy nights...
the accordion is painful..other wise great show\
You can see Garcia losing interest at this show. Trying.... But it is stale. Switching songs asap.
With Bob playing songs like Picasso Moon can you blame him.
no harpsichord
really intrusive. yuck
