Ok, first of all. This show has gotta be one of the top ten dead concerts ever. Holy shit. They are SO on. The tiger walks on this night. The second set Victim opener is mind blowing. Every song played is a nugget. Voodoonola strikes again.
Thanks voodoonola for the trip down memory lane, GDTS hit me with 3rd row center for nite 3 at Denver and 5 including Tempe. Grate memories and special times. Some of us were very lucky to be in attendance.
Just randomly put on this video last night without looking at the set list or reviews. I was blown away. There is nothing average about this show. One of the best of the 90s. Jerry is completely f-ing dialed in. Doesn’t take a single song off. Powerful, purposeful, perfectly timed shredding all over the place. And the set list! Big, fat Shakedown, Picasso opener; To Lay Me Down, Let it Grow to close the first set???!!! With four more great tunes packed in between- Seriously? Monster first set led me to think it might be a bare bones second but they roll out 8 more tightly played tunes before one of the better Knockin’ encores you’ll see. Just tremendous energy and focus throughout. When these guys were on they were just ridiculous.
Freaking cold in Denver! Big shock coming out from the dry heat of Temep, AZ earlier in the week for their two night run. I got into the 1st and 2nd night of this run and it's great to finally hear how they finished up the Dark Star! It was just as potent as the first half on the first night. Amazing southwest tour before Christmas!

This is one of a 3 night set here which, pleased to say I was at them all...amazing shows. Plus after the shows was able to drive to darkness on the way home and check out the Geminid meteor shower blazing away, every night with clear skies. The night of this show was peak date for the shower. Not forgotten
Both the Stagger Lee and To Lay Me Down were amazing, with Garcia digging deep and belting them out with unquestioned authority. Anyone else remember how insanely cold it was in Denver during this excellent 3 show run?

I never made it that far but they did pay for me + my niece to come to Sanfrancisco ! Plus we were in Jamaica with them but got there 2 hours before them but they were a little upset with the fact we wouldn’t go with them on their jet ! Was at this amazing show. I think I was either a Freshmen in highschool. Remember it being cold waiting for the doors to open. Such awesome magical memories.
This show has, IMO, top 10 versions of To Lay Me Down and He's Gone. I'd love to have those tracks made into solo videos. The Lovelight is sweet too. :-)

They always seemed to play very well and soulful in Colorado. I was at over fifty shows and I still wish I had gone to more. I love the Grateful Dead.
It came very close to becoming their second home. They almost moved there operation there.
Video game I never heard that before but I do know they loved it there ! The weather was good for them !

My town shuts down around 9/10 pm unless they r at the bar ! Only one here that’s open most nites except Mondays !
