When I first started 3d printing I built a Mini Kossel and to this day after building Vorons and running some of the best production machines that Kossel printed just as well back in 2014. One of the things I loved was endstop offset from Z limit switch and when I ran into designs with the Z switch on the hotend side with a Screw to adjust or like Ender 3 where the whole switch has to move, I just couldn't understand it. Glad someone mentioned how that makes no sense.

Thank you so much for posting the BOM. I've been looking for a source for a replacement ball screw for my Wanhao D6 and I found one quickly at the source you used, aliexpress for an amazing price. I find the Z axis accuracy to be very important for creating prints with smooth sides. My D6 printer has a cyclical error of 0.03 mm that I measured using a micrometer. That is a 15% error in an 0.2 mm layer thickness and it creates a very poor print. It would be interesting to measure the Z axis error for the screws used in this printer. I'm hoping to get good result with the aliexpress part, but I expect I will have to spend a few hundred dollars to get a good part from Misumi.

Hey, what are your E-Steps for your cloned BMG extruder? I have the exact same one and can't for the life of me get it to print nice. A ballpark estep would be appreciated. Also, nice little printer, quite the build. Subbed. Also, use SuperLube teflon jelly for your Z rods. The stuff is pure magic, as it even reduces binding and increased smoothness of layer.

Hi! sorry if this might be interrupting, and I know this is unrelated to the video, but I need to know if I could build a reprap out of my Ender 2 Pro. I bought it a couple months ago but I regret is it because it has a very small community and it isn't open source. So I want to turn it into a different (open source) printer that keeps the small profile and re-uses most of the same parts other than 3D printed parts (I have another printer) and maybe some threaded rods or something. If you could point me to something or even design a printer using those parts (or point me to a tutorial so that I could make my own design) it would be astronomically appreciated!
