All the online guides and not ONE of them mentioned needing to talk to Stroud about work he needs done. Every other guide I've read through says "do this" and "complete this" making it sound like the mission will magically appear after completing certain missions. Not even 3 minutes into this and you've answered more than anyone else. Thank you for the clarity.
Oh and I forgot to mention, you can trim a little fat from the Keppler R by downsizing it's fuel tank. I've literally never come across a jump that requires more than 400 fuel, and the tanks are incredibly heavy you could probably put even more cargo in place of them. Or just remove them all and put a single tank, my personal favourite is the H30 Atlas, it alone provides enough fuel for any jump I've had to make.
I just got the Kepler s from this mission last night. Looks like a great ship but I haven’t got a chance to fly it yet. Another ship I got recently that looks promising is the UC vista class c which I stole. It landed on a level 75 moon in the far east of the universe. All I had to do is pick the lock and fly it away. It is a very random spawn though and I think the higher level and skills your character has the higher chance of finding rarer ships. Great vid.
Yea well I prefer the Kepler S. Put six vanguard weapons on one trigger, four on another, three more on another, upgrade reactor and engines and you have a serious fighter ship. Shortly after if you arrange it properly that aggravating Barret is dead and there are only 3 companions for crew left anyway, if you leave the aggravating robot in the lodge. Oh use the vanguard shield also. This is a very serious fighter ship, and will simply melt any enemy ship it encounters. Oh and the Kepler R is a maze of ladders and confusion a real mess if you ask me. Cheers Kit
7:25 I find this so funny when watching. Looks big and pretty and bla bla bla, unlike any other video about Keplar R. Until shown the internal, OMG so bad, no wonder someone in one of the RUclips video comments says. "I sold it". I was like, why? I guess once you find a much better ship or built, Keplar R is just rubbish in comparison, let alone Keplar S. But I am curious, about how to upgrade Keplar R to the maximum possibility, not only externally, but what's more important is the interior, obviously what we all really flying this big boy isn't it? I have to obtain this Keplar R for others to see how better we all can make it become. Anyway, that's just one opinion to the next, everyone is entitled to theirs. I find it interesting for the Keplar R topic.
The only issue I have with the Kepker R is the hab flow. Having multiple levels that you can only reach via a ladder is painful. Especially with the placement of the ladder to get down to the lower deck. One of my priorities when building ships is to have at least a somewhat logical flow from one hab to another and as few ladders as is possible and if there has to be multiple ladders that they are all located in 1 vertical space. Which is why I'm totally in love with the Cabot bridge cockpit. Being able to get from the upper deck to the lower deck using the stairs in that cockpit really makes the ship feel like it was designed by someone that knew what they were doing, rather than the spaghetti pathway you end up with when building ships. Hopefully BGS get around to revamping the ship building system to include a number of QoL improvements including touring your ship while in ship building mode and the ability to choose where doors located. And maybe even a stairway hab. But I'm not holding my breath.
@@ArmitageShanksMC Hahaha... We're thinking alike. Someone recommended getting this and has asked me to improve it. This is the only video that I found that shows the internal layout. So horrid by the looks of it, and what I mean is everything you have said.
@@RandomZeroGravity It's tricky, but you can get some control over the flow through your ship. - It will never create a loop ie. a pathway that starts in a hab and finishes back in that same hab. Habs will only ever have more than 1 exit when they're attached to another hab and there's no other access to that hab. OR they are attached to a cockpit. - The order in which you place habs mostly dictates where the doors will end up, this isn't 100% the case though, as placing a hab can sometimes reset door placements. - When using the Cabot bridge I've never seen a ladder placed between the decks that are connected by the cockpit as long as all habs on each level have a direct path to the cockpit doors. Much like with hab doors, there will only be 1 way to get up and down between 2 floors as long as all habs on each floor can be accessed. You CAN force 2 ladders going to the same floor by having separated habs on the same level. Those rules in mind I try my best not to have more than 2 levels with multiple habs (my current ship has 3 levels, but the lowest deck is just a single 2x3 cargo hold that connects to the bay), If I do plan on building a borg cube, I'd first build a tower of companion ways to force the ladder into a single column, then attach habs to that to build the various floors. But in all honesty, you can fit a lot of habs in 2 floors.
When I got the Kepler are I noticed there was a lot of wasted weight on it, so I redesigned it, keeping all the parts that I didn't have unlocked yet. Those fuel tanks are useful with snap points on all sides I got rid of a bunch of those one by one hab size parts, added 2x1 Workshop, and a few other things it still ended up lighter.
@Kelpe1925 they have to be attached to your ship, that's what I meant. It would be nice if you had a warehouse or something to put your parts in but sadly that's not the case
You can move them around while you're building but they still have to be on the ship you started building on if you want to keep them, doesn't really take too long to get your ship design skill Max so you can buy the parts yourself
Honestly, I prefer the Kepler S for the looks. The R is too chonky, plus I don't have my Class C license yet and I just got my Class B license. I'd go for that one and just upgrade it to match the capabilities of the R but look way better doing it. Lol.
If I was actually building this for my company it would probably be a class C, but spec would bemore along the heritage and pedigree of the star eagle. Pb weapons (auto Pb guns and turret Pb) with very good top of the line missile systems. Cargo would a hair over 4k. And max crew jobs. Overall the class A star eagle beats the Kepler r
I was wondering if you'd be at all interested in touring other people's ship builds. I know you haven't done a lot of content on the ship builder. But I'd love to supply you with a save where you can have a bit of a run around and perhaps even fly some missions with one of my ships. You could maybe start a small series where viewers supply you with a save and you can check out their ships, or even their outposts.

Haven’t done this yet, time to to visit Quark and get that shiny new ship. Thanks for another excellent video Sausaaaage!

Yeah I don't remember exactly how many it had originally but it was Overkill

Great Vid! ill shall get on this straight away!
Well worth getting! Stick an extra engine on it too, improves mobility
Oh wow, I had 10 ships, and when I got the Keplar R. It pushed my ships to 11/11. Nice!
Love all your vids!
Cheers Brain!!

Yes the Kepler R is a right maze!
Alright, there sausage, my good man. What a win for Wales against the wallabies.
Yes it was a slight pasting!
I passed the persuasion and picked the bigger budget but I still got the “S” model.
Me too just now
Same here. I will still keep using my Va'ruun Prophecy instead. Much more cargo space.
It keeps telling me i don"t have enough room for passengers even when all my crew is dismissed from ship
