    Just found your channel looking for some good fishing tips but I honestly think you catch as many fish as you do just because you have such a good upbeat attitude. The fish are just excited to meet such a nice guy who gives them all a good complement and sends them on their way. Keep up the good work brother! 🍻

    Ned rig is an awesome bait and it really does work. I find it’s a killer in the early spring before the weeds fill up the pond and make it almost impossible to fish. I know Z man makes the weedless heads but to me it doesn’t even make a difference. The thing gets caught on literally everything. Only problem with the Ned rig for how expensive those z man mushroom heads are. The elastech do make a difference in the buoyancy/action. I do enjoy the ol’ Z man Trd usually always have a couple on deck. But man oh man depending on what type of bottom you are fishing these ned rigs can rack up quite a bill. If you’re fishing around sticks and lay downs you’ll be lucky to make more than a few casts with this thing

    • @Madisonrvr
      @Madisonrvr Год назад

      Tim--- just my 2 cents, as I fish the Ned rig quite a bit. I default to black much of the time. If the water is clear or a little stained, more natural or muted colors should work-- green pumpkin, crawfish, goby, etc. In the spring or if the water is pretty stained, I love the coppertreuse or green pumpkin/orange colors by Zman-- something with a bright color on it just to help with visibility. I know alot of guys like PB&J too. But I probably use plain old black about 60% of the time and it just catches em. Play around with colors and you'll find the ones you're confident with. Good luck.

    I haven't noticed much difference between a perfectly straight rigged ned rig and one with a little bit of a curve or wobble to it other than the one that's not perfectly straight seems to catch more fish on the fall probably because the curve causes it to spin.

Be even when I freshwater fish, the braid cuts the Lilly pads and weeds like NO mono Ever could. Braid is the way to go my friend. Once you change (and learn how to use it) you'll Never go back to mono. Try it once. I recommend power pro, cheep braid will just piss you off. Tight lines amigos! Oh, and I used to use 6lbs mono years ago, it's just TOO Damn light now, and 15 lbs braid is thinner that 6 lbs mono so you cast way farther.

      Scott Michael thanks for the advice, so 15 pound braid is the way to go for Ned rigging?

    • @scottmichael3745
      @scottmichael3745 4 года назад

      @@tannercrim4774 it takes some getting used to, braid is SO thin, you get wind knots if you don't cast It right. But bro, when it clicks,, like seriously 15 lbs Braid on my ultralight, 20 lbs on my light gear, and 30 lbs on my 4000 size gear (medium) for saltwater! I can pull in a 30 lbs drum on my medium rod. 15 lbs braid costs 2 times mono, but lasts 4 times as long. And the lower diameter. It casts Way farther. But the shit is SO thin and SO strong, it'll cut the Hell out of your fingers. Like paper cuts. It's a learning curve. But you won't go back to mono. Oh, and you'll need to learn the double uni knot to tie on your leader. Never braid to bait, but leader to lure is cool. If you're JUST starting out, use whatever line you can afford, after that, you'll move to braid. Good luck my friend.

    Good video but I disagree with it having to be perfectly straight in 5’ or less. The twirling fall increases bites a lot of times and zero impact on hooking the fish.

      People been saying this about finesse worms for years but I've caught tons of bass on em

    Question: on 2 tone TRDs, do you bring the hook point out the darker side or lighter side? PB or J? Dark or white with "The Deal?" And why? Thanks!

      Always dark side on top where hook pops out 👍🏼 it’s the most natural. The deal imitates small baitfish which almost always have a dark back and light underside

    Ned rigged with no weed guard would never work in a lot of bass fishing environments ie slop, weeds, lilly pads. Anyone can catch bass on pretty much anything in clean clear water with rocky bottoms. A true skilled bass man can catch monsters in the worst slop a lake has to offer.
