    Even EASIER now! Read on... first off, much appreciated sir. Had to come back a second time as I had stopped my CS iPad subscription at some point and just re-upped it. The good news is there seems to have been an update that is easier to migrate the brushes. I know you don't use DropBox, and I'm sure you can do the same with Google Drive, but what I did was. 1. Upload a zip of all of my CS brushes to DropBox. 2. Open DropBox and Files apps side-by-side and drag/drop the zip into a folder in files. 3. Unzip in files. 4. Open CS and Files side-by-side (doubt having them both there is necessary), give focus to the proper brush category/subtool within CS, then in Files, click on each brush one by one. They instantly install. No drag-drop.

      Ooo, syncing is a good one. I don’t sync my workspaces, but my studiomate keeps telling me I should. And a perspective tutorial is a good idea!

    How do you download clip studio paint and activate the license on iPad ?? Help

    • @ScottD
      @ScottD  3 года назад

      You download it in the App Store. It’s not the same license as the desktop version, so you’ll be able to do a free trial and then it’s a subscription after that. Personally, I do the cheaper version at a yearly subscription ($24.99/year, I think).

    So we should perhaps shift one of the brushes over to the general column and then use that to create a new sub column and then import the rest of the purchased brush sets?

    • @ScottD
      @ScottD  4 года назад

      Yep, that’d probably be the quickest way!

    Clip Studio on Ipad? I wonder if they charge a fortune as Photoshop does, or even better would be if they allow IPAD use if you have purchased the PC version?

    • @ScottD
      @ScottD  4 года назад

      It’s a subscription on iPad, but I usually do the $25/yr option, so it’s not awful.

    *Thats the problem. Clip Studio is not appearing on the options to Open in on my ipad. Its so frustrating.*

      Gotcha. You might have to scroll over to the end and add CSP as an app that opens that file type.

    I wanted to have your thought on Clip studio Paint on Mac. I'm currently using CSP on windows and considering to switch to mac. But after having tested it yesterday on a friends imac, I was really surprised by how the soft is displayed. All panels are floating and independant, there is no backgroung hiding the desktop, no main windows to drag the software around. Making it a real pain to use with a cintiq. The command bar can only be displayed on the main screen apparently, so you have to change your display settings. And when everything is finaly on your second screen, the layout is all messed up and the panels are often overlaping so you need to rearange everything each time (specially if you are using a macbook and disconneting it often like I plan to do). Is there a setting I'm missing ? Would you recommand to stay on Windows pc ? I'm worried the mac version of CSP isn't really optimised yet. Thanks for your really helpfull videos !

      I use a Mac for my main comic/illustration computer and I love it. You can attach the palettes to the left and right side of the main screen and then expand the window holding the canvas to hide the background if you want. You can also use System Preferences > Displays to choose which monitor is your main monitor, if you want the Cintiq to be your main monitor. I usually have my MacBook Pro closed, so it doesn't affect me, but if I have to open to watch a show or have reference up, that's what I do.
      It works great for me, personally, but at the end of the day, you know what's best for you. Macs just look a little different, but everything important works the same way. I used to be a PC kid back in the day, but my first design job forced me to switch to a Mac, and I fell in love and haven't looked back. I still have a PC for gaming and stuff, but, as the old saying goes, Macs just work. It gets out of my way and lets me just make stuff.

    Thank you! Can't believe I am forced to install Dropbox to import brushes. All other apps didn't show the "open in" option. Fuck Apple.

      There's actually probably a better way, now that Clip can access the Files app. I may have to do an updated video!

    so is there no way to import more than one at once? i have like 40 brushes i bought..

    • @ScottD
      @ScottD  3 года назад

      You can drag and drop them on desktop now, I think. When I made this video, you couldn't, but I think there's been an update.

    Nope. Doesn't work on iPad. [Update: yes it does if you do it from a cloud drive. It doesn't work if the file is on your iPad]
