    To the people saying that those questions are "cringe " or whatever.
    I mean they weren't forced to do the interview. I'm sure they knew beforehand about it. And also it's Gay Times so I'm sure those questions were specifically for a gay audience hence why those questions had to be asked. Quit being offended for no reason 💀🙄

      @keskt 7 дней назад +2

      It’s a press junket, the actors don’t decide who will interview them. Forced is a strong word but it’s not like they chose, and they are contractually required to do them. they sit there and a bunch of different outlets get to come and interview them one after the other.

  • @albatross6093

    Why even ask that question, it feels like they're not supposed to talk about it tbh (even though we know from what Olivia has previously said that she headcanons Alicent as queer and likes the idea of Rhaenicent), like in spite of the subtext and the chemistry, Emma's answer is true, in context they have a civil war to worry about and the divide between them is to big to even consider that. It's still beautiful that those characters stay the heart of the show though !

      Yeah I think if they'd as much as said they liked it while sitting together in this interview, then many people would cling on to it as canon... And the comments section for those posts will look like trash fire.
      I just know it.

    These comments cannot be serious. This is an interview with *GAY TIMES.* The room is not being read.
    He asked a very eloquent question and Emma gave a very eloquent answer. If you have a problem with the mere **mentioning** of queerness, look inward. Truly.

      I’m GAY in these current TIMES and I found this interview uncomfortable to watch.
      The actors did a really good job but the tone and set of the questions was almost verging on inappropriate in the way they were presented.

Tipo, mano ???

    • @yevgeniyaleshchenko849

      @@tay.l6371 There was a subtext of them being friends though.

    Honestly it's not even a weird question. They literally got asked this last year too and their answers were much more mature compared to now. Not to mention the entertainment weekly photoshoot where they're hugging it out. I think it only felt cringe because their reactions made it cringe. Not a big rhaenicent shipper but I just wish they (especially Olivia) didn't respond so negatively.

  • @tay.l6371
    @tay.l6371 10 дней назад +2

    They are actors, even if they are friends, if they didn't know how to deal with questions like this related to CHARACTERS then it would only mean that they are unprofessional. The subtext between Alicent and Rhaenyra has always been there since the first phase, it's obvious that people would be curious about it and question the possibilities.
    And it doesn't make sense whoever is saying that it sounded uncomfortable. Emma and Matt are also best friends and literally play a couple, why that sounds normal to people but the possibility of Emma and Olivia as a romantic Rhaenicent would be absurd???? Like, bro???

    The interviewer was pushing them hard. It is clear that they, as friends, are uncomfortable discussing this and they both understand that this subtext remained in the last season. At the same time, Emma was told that they had a sibling relationship

    • @Mysticalsmile777
      @Mysticalsmile777 20 дней назад +9

      Well, it did seem that way but also at the same time to be fair they most definitely got the questions beforehand so I don't know what they expected. And also why even go on Gay Times if they weren't ready to answer those kinds of questions???? I don't know it just doesn't add up to me...🤷‍♂️

    They forgot to add Alicents character being destroyed by turning her into the loosest woman in the castle. And also making her into a bad mother who is more worried about getting with Cole than protecting her family. The episode also manages to shift the blame from Daemon to Alicent and Cole for B&C though Alicent will end up getting the blame for it. Well done writers!

      Do you know that Alicent in the show is massively whitewashed from the version in the books? Beyond anybody else?
      In the books she is effectively the caricature of the evil stepmother from Cinderella.
