The details of the tv in cinema mode are great so thank you for that but its never a fair comparison. Considering your 20 years experience you still don't get the extremely basic concept that we don't all watch our Tvs in cinema mode. Perhaps thats why the Tv manufacturers have more than one mode .The majority of people and this might come as a surprise to you watch thier tvs in other modes. yes there are circumstances where tvs are watched in cinema but this is not the only mode. So why not a fair and more helpful review by reviewing the tvs in all modes so that when we look at buying these tvs we know how their going to do in all modes that we will watch them in . Its a Shane that your not more open to the concept that not all people want to watch their tvs in cinema mode and people also want other options for their tv watching. Maybe year 21 might be the year when you learn something new. Fingers crossed
We stick to the standards used to produce and master the actual TV and film content you watch on TV. This means that colours and greyscale are correct and that you see it as it was intended to be seen. You are free to use whatever picture presets you want and they exist so manufacturers can sell the most shiny and garishly vivid picture seen on a shop floor, but you really shouldn't watch a TV that way, you are missing so much. Content creators use standards for a reason, but most users want to do their own thing and set their TV by personal preference, which is fine, but we don't review on personal preference, we use repeatable, measurable standards that are a fair and accurate representation of what the TV is capable of on a level playing field. If it can't hit the standards and show content as it was intended to be seen, then it is not doing its job correctly. Anyone who just reviews a TV based on their personal preference settings is not telling you anything about how the TV actually performs, they are telling you what they prefer it to look like, not that it is correct or accurate. Thanks for taking the time to watch and reply to the video, I hope you learnt something from it.
@@avforums Maybe you should do more than just standard testing you'll reach more people who just don't care for the standards and want to see the TV's maxed out.
