great tv. i have the 77 inch lg g3. but if i stream from my laptop to the tv a mkv dolby vision movie. dolby vision dont lights up. only hdr. how it come. does dolby vision only lights up, if i download a movie with mkv file and put it on usb stick and put the the usb stick direct in the usb port from the tv?

Just want to add that the G3 83'' version doesn't have MLA technology so it's essentially the same as the previous generations. MLA is only included in 55, 65 and 77 inchers.

If I buy this since it’s so close to the wall how would you install Philips HUE Sync box the lights that go around the back of the TV makes the picture pop and your eyes don’t strain .I have it in my C2
I have the 48" C2, which I only use as a computer monitor and IT IS AMAZING!! And this gentleman stated that the comparison of this G3 to the previous generation is "like night and day" .... my god! I NEED THIS G3 IN MY LIFE. I always describe, to my friends, the image quality of my C2 as "3D without having to use 3D glasses". So, I suppose the G3 is like VR without the VR headset!! Yay!!!
don't fall for a youtuber's blabla. sure the g3 is an upgrade, but nothing major. they are just trying to sell you a product you don't need and youtubers are corrupt, because they are paid by these corporations to make a profit
I actually had a 48 C1 then the A95k oled. Sold the 48 and upgraded the size to 65 C1 The A95k is really good but you’re right it has the 3d look to it so I had to go back and by the 65 lmao.
@@beammeupscottsp7952 I love my C2 and I wanted the G3, but have you seen the reviews for the Sony A95L? Everyone says that it is a 10 out of 10 in every aspect. I have never had a Sony TV, though. The LG is rock solid ... literally; it got pushed off of my desk from a height of about 32", and then my toddler stepped on the screen! Not a scratch on it. I was amazed. My sister-in-law simply dismounted her Samsung from her rack to move it to another room and the screen stopped working. So how do Sony's rate between the LG and the Samsung?

Does that mean i can display content from more than 1 HDMI port at a time?
IE my home theatre is on HDMI 1 and on source 1 of my surround amp
So i cant listen to music(videos) if i switch amp to any other HDMI
But this way can i leave my amp on source 1,and view something else on another HDMI port,IE fotos etc and keep music playing?

Some channels (TKK & tech with KG) are saying that the game mode takes a huge hit to the brightness and color quality. Are you finding it’s not an issue?

Great review. I picked one of these up, but I chose NOT to use the wall mount. I prefer to use rear TV enhancement lighting. For me, this adds a lot to the immersion of the viewing experience and is not possible if one uses the wall flush-mount that LG includes in the box. I also chose to go with a 3rd party stand, because the one LG offers for the TV this year wobbles and also leans the panel back about 10 degrees. There are many complaints regarding the stand online, plus Caleb pointed it out in his review as well.

Last year LG Fanboys saying "brightness isn't everything" when against qdoled. This year it, "look how great the TV is it's so bright"
Again, qdoled has the better colours and all other reviews (all the major reviewers) I've seen have said the same, it's noticeable. but apparently, this year the LG fanboy retort is, "yeah but the LG looks more accurate" - more bs. That said I'm happy to finally see reviewers are criticizing wrgb for its pushed greens and inability to do bright red. Do t get me wrong. LG have done a great job with the G3 it's close to qdoled, whites are reportedly better in large fields but gaming isn't a strength. We gone back 4 years to where the game mode colours are washed and very inaccurate. You have to come out of game mode to get a good experience but then you've extra lag. That doesn't to any reasonable person equate to the best gaming TV.

Amazes me every year these companies come out with a new tv, and every yr ITS THE BEST TV 😂. That is until next yr. G2 was too expensive at the time, but now everyone wants G3. What about when they release the G4 😂

How is the motion handling? Also what settings can you use to cool down the stutter?
I haven’t had any issues with motion or stutter. I have most things turned off. AV Forums ran through the ideal settings a couple of weeks ago. Must say the G3 is excellent, can’t fault a thing.

The G3 has an anti reflective coating so bright rooms aren’t an issue, besides the picture is very bright.
A dedicated AVR with 7.2.4 would make it sound far better :)
I read that G3 has more depth than the s95c.

83” should be bright enough. They stated that u still get 30% brighter compare to 77” inch or lower for 70% brightness. Which mean it possibly there’s still MLA there but the brightness won’t be as much. But when u go up in size, the brighter it is. So 83” G3 is just as good. I got mine at Costco for $4399 for 83”. Can’t wait to unpack my first LG TV ever !

Great looking TV no doubt, but at over £1300 more expensive over the S90C it's a no brainer to get the Samsung.
The Samsung 77 s90c is on sale for £2099, almost £2000 cheaper than the G3.
S90c 77 uses the same panel as the s95c, which is the second gen qdoled.

I love OLED and it's amazing gaming features but man do I hate their OS. Ughhhhh I hope they jump to android OS one day. That's what's keeping me from jumping ship. I just hate LG's OS.

If LG would just drop that LG OS and get on the Android/Google bandwagon someday it's a wrap. I'll get one asap.
Yes a better OS so more Apps work, but i mitigate most all the OS quirky ness with the Shortcuts. Which is something that most others don’t have, as well as The Web browser. If all apps worked though I wouldn’t need a web browser. But i would still like the customizable shortcuts though. As well as the Super fast on time.
@@easterlingderek34 I own fire sticks and other devices but having a tv with the right OS wins me over every time. Sony and others made the right move when pairing up with Android and Google. LG needs to jump on board and drop that LG OS. It's just not appealing to me.

Until they have brightness levels of LED without risk of burn in they will never be king, the price is insane for such issues.
