God bless your Mother. That is one of the saddest stories I have ever heard. We don’t have a choice about mental illness no more than we do cancer. I didn’t loose my family & home but I lost my job & then my ability to work. Thank you for your work.

He’s great and works tirelessly for sure to get this message out and provides a great deal of hope for people. You can see he’s so passionate and meticulous in how he answers questions and the diet. Saying that, I don’t think Ketogenic diets ALONE could really affect deficit, negative, dearth, ipseity and cognitive slippage symptoms in schizophrenia spectrum issues. I understand how it’s an effective treatment for epilepsy and the ups and downs of bipolar disorder and how all mental disorders are metabolic dysfunction disorders of the brain. but I don’t really see Keto ALONE treating negative symptoms of schizophrenia and other anhedonic and emotional numbness conditions. I might be wrong and hope I’m wrong

I am SO SO THANKFUL you shared your personal story, I have been dealing with the injustice and anger while fighting the horrible ignorant mental health system in this country with every member of my immediate family. I feel I need to be a part of helping reform the system by following your example and classification of metabolic illness. The active shooters in this country are people who deserved help but were ignored. It affects all of us and can no longer be treated without respect and dignity. Sorry your mom had to experience the actions of ignorant uncaring people, I know how hard it is to watch someone suffer when their brain is malfunctioning and no one cares to find out why!

He said "most patients, certainly more than 50%, could get better". Studies are showing significantly higher percentages of participants showing improvements when they are strictly adherent to the plan. Antidepressant medications (ALL OF THEM) show long-term improvement in fewer than 30% of people. Plus, the plan (the whole Brain Energy approach - which is more than diet) fixes all the other things that are going wrong in your body because your brain isn’t working optimally.

May I put the question out about the metabolic influence in a case of Parkinson?

Only about 50% of patients could get better? Not a very compelling reason to go with that diet - similar to a coin toss.

100% chance to feel awful compared to a coin toss to get well……… give me the coin. By the way I succeeded
